My Peter Pan

Chapter Twelve

"We should be practicing for dance class," Yuna laughed, pushing Lay lightly after he won the third dance contest they'd been having.
Lay chuckled. "But it's so easy."
Yuna scrunched her nose up. "That, Zhang, is a matter of opinion."
Laughing, Lay paused the stereo as it prepared to play the next song on the track. "Zhang? So now we're going by last names only?"
Yuna snuck up behind Lay, jumping onto his back. "Of course, Zhang. Piggyback ride?" She leaned forward so Lay could see her and pouted, slipping into aegyo. "Oppa?"
Lay's heart picked up, and he chuckled, the lightest blush forming on his cheeks. "Yuna, wae?" He replied back with just as much aegyo, taking a few bouncy steps forward.
Yuna giggled from her perch on his back, wrapping her arms tighter around Lay's neck as he spun around gently. "Yah! Stop that!" she said playfully, her fingers slipping into his hair.
Lay laughed, setting her down lightly on her feet and turned around, kissing her gently. "You're something else, Han Yuna."
Yuna smiled, her arms sliding around his waist. "Didn't you once tell me you speak Chinese?" she murmured, closing her eyes slightly.
Lay's lips quirked up. "I do...it's my first language, remember?"
Yuna hummed, nodding. "Say something to me in Chinese."
Lay thought for a moment. What should I say? I know she knows minimal Chinese...so what would she not know? he thought, chewing his bottom lip lightly. Sighing, he murmured, "Wǒ zhǐshì yīgè píngfán de rén yǔ yīgè měilì de nǚ péngyǒu."
Yuna smiled, even though she hardly understood a word he said. "I like the way your voice is when you speak Chinese. What did you say?"
Lay chuckled. "I'll tell you at some point. Patience, Yunes."
Yuna pouted but pulled away and began fiddling with the stereo. "What's the difference between now and later?" she murmured, taking out one CD and putting in a new one.
Lay sat down behind her, resting his chin on her shoulder. "I don't know. I just want to wait a while before I tell you," he teased, playing with her hair.
Yuna laughed quietly. "Since you insist on putting off Ms. Abbott's assignment til the last minute, what do you suppose we do now?" she asked, leaning back against Lay.
Lay shrugged, leaning against the wall behind him. "I like it right here, you know," he murmured, closing his eyes.
Yuna smiled, cuddling up to him more. "We have homework to do, Lay."
Lay shrugged again, his arms tightening. "We can always do it later..."
Yuna laughed quietly, resting her head on his shoulder. "We should get going...Chanyeol might want his studio back soon."
Lay's eyes cracked open. To be fair, Chanyeol was letting them use the time he'd rented it for. "True...do you want to go out for dinner, then?"
Yuna smiled widely. "Just let me call Yeollie and let him know we're done here."
Lay sat up and pulled Yuna up with him, gathering their things together in his black dance duffle bag, and holding the door open for her while she joked on the phone with Chanyeol.

"I can take your order when you're ready."
Yuna glanced up at the waitress, who was in the mist of ignoring her and staring flirtatiously at Lay.
Lay nodded, oblivious to the girl's look. "Cheese pizza please," he said, concentrating more on playing footsie under the table with Yuna.
The waitress nodded. "Mini, small, medium, or large?" she asked, her high voice catching Lay's attention again.
Lay thought for a moment, then turned to Yuna. "Ulineun maecheleul bad-eul su issseubnikka? Neomu keun gayo?"
Yuna's lips tugged up at the waitress's flabbergasted expression. "Anio. Uulineun wae yeong-eoleul mos habnikka?"
Lay chuckled at Yuna's question. "Moleugess-eoyo. Geulaedo geunyeoui honlan gwa neomu jaemi iss-eoyo."
Yuna giggled and looked up at the waitress. "A medium is fine," she said, her accent slurring her words slightly.
The waitress threw Yuna a slightly annoyed look before stalking off.
As soon as the waitress turned the corner, Yuna fell into a fit of giggles. "Lay, she was really annoyed about us conversing in Korean," she said, grabbing Lay's hand over the table.
Lay chuckled and held their hands up, pressing her cold one to his cheek. "I wanted to know what size we should get!" he defended himself, smiling widely.
Yuna leaned forward, poking his dimple gently. "Dangsin-eun salang seuleobda!" she exclaimed, blushing lightly.
Lay laughed, poking her nose. "Nǐ shì kě'ài."
Yuna scrunched her nose up, thinking. "I am not," she finally said, resting her chin on her fist.
Lay blinked, having not expected her to understand him. "You are too. Especially when you're thinking hard, like you just were, Yunes."
Yuna blushed, looking away. "I told you I know some Chinese, Lay-ssi. I just don't know a lot. Like you."
Lay chuckled. "I only know a lot because I lived in China for a while."
Yuna stuck her tongue out playfully, brushing her thumb across his cheek. "Lay is the bae, and the bae is the bae."
Lay, who was drinking when she said that, choked on his water slightly, laughing. "Yunes, do you know what 'bae' means?" he asked, giving her hand a gentle squeeze.
Yuna frowned. "People around school use it when they're talking to their boyfriend or girlfriend..." she murmured. "Isn't it short for babe?"
Lay smiled widely. "It can be, but it also means 'before anyone else'."
Yuna chuckled. "Well shucks."

Lay leaned forward to tuck a stray hair behind her ear, only to be interrupted by a quiet cough. "Medium cheese pizza?" the waitress asked, holding it up.
Lay and Yuna cleared a space for the pizza, letting go of one another's hand. As the waitress put the pizza down, she nudged Yuna's water, sending it over the edge of the table.
Yuna took a deep breath and smiled, trying not to look annoyed as the waitress muttered an unmeant apology and scrambled off, returning with towels and a new glass of water moments later. "Um..."
Lay glanced up at Yuna, catching her troubled expression. "Having troubles?" he murmured.
Yuna blushed and nodded. "Ne...kamsahamnida...Engrish?" Her embarrassment added as she mispronounced, and she hid her face.
Lay looked up at the waitress, who was waiting, her hand on her notepad nervously. "She means thank you," he said, nodding. "Her English isn't very good," he added when he saw the look Yuna received. "It's not her first language."
The waitress huffed and stalked away, and Lay reached across the table, pulling Yuna's hands away from her face. She blinked shyly at him, and a small smile formed on his face.
"You're cute when you're flustered, you know that?" he murmured, biting his lip gently.
Yuna blushed again and turned away. "I forgot all of a sudden," she whined, pouting slightly.
Lay chuckled. "It's fine, Yunes. You're still trying to get used to English."
Yuna, finally feeling at peace with her emotions, smiled and grabbed a piece of pizza, taking a large bite. "I suppose."

Yuna sat in the car, staring at her house. She didn't particularly want to get out and have her parents rage on about how bad of an influence Lay was on her - especially since this was the second time he'd brought her home late since they'd met a month ago.
And her parents were still up - the lights were on in the house.
Sighing, Yuna turned to Lay. "Pick me up here for school tomorrow?" she murmured, smiling shyly.
Lay chuckled, playing with his fingers. "Of course. Good night, Yunes." He gave her a small, chaste kiss and waited until she was in the house before driving away, a blush working its way onto his cheeks.

Notes

Wǒ zhǐshì yīgè píngfán de rén yǔ yīgè měilì de nǚ péngyǒu: I'm an ordinary person with a beautiful girlfriend.

Lol during the pizza scene, Lay is asking Yuna whether she thinks a medium pizza would do, or if it would be too big, and Yuna replies back that it should do, and asks why he's speaking Korean instead of English, in which Lay replies, "I do not know. I'm having so much fun with her [the waitress] confused though."Sorry if it was confusing xD
Dangsin-eun salang seuleobda! - You are adorable!
Nǐ shì kě'ài - you're cuter.

Omg xD sorry if I confused anyone, or made anyone puke from the fluffiness lol
So...seeing as I am really running out of ideas on what to write (writer's block), please, comment or message me about what you want to see! It can be anything that's not horror related (cos I don't like that stuff lol) and I'll try writing it into my story! :D a good challenge is always daebak!

Hey guys!
idk if you're still waiting for more chapters (bless your souls if you are), but I'm moving My Peter Pan to my new account, as Google is no longer a valid option as a way to sign in, I have (as a result) lost this account :3 this story will be revised a bit, but I will try my best to continue it ^_^

@Bambii
You can always change something. It may take time to think. As an author of the story, you can control anything. :)

@My_Lover_Lay
omg you're too nice :3 the plot is literally all over the place though, and it's making writing it really difficult (hence the informal hiatus) :3

@Angiet0903
uhhhhh...she's her own character though? :3 unless you meant who she was supposed to be with?
In the middle of writing this story, my bias changed from Chen to Yixing, which wasn't very helpful :3 but um yeah..by the last chapter I've written (Twelve) she's with Lay, though she was with Chen for a while~

I'm confused I read all of it but
who is she supposed to be Chen or Lay
