That Eye Smile!
Chapter 6
Your POV
You don’t know why, but your heart skipped a beat when you saw the sight of him. He notices you and beckons you down with his finger. You think for a moment but then quickly rush down the stairs and tip toe past Dad’s bedroom. You put on a warm coat and gloves since it was snowing outside, open the door and walk out into the cold air towards Jr. He slowly shuffles through the snow towards you with a gentle eye smile on his face.
“_____________ ……………” he says.
“Jr. ………………………” you say, teasing him.
You realise that it was midnight and you weren’t sleeping. “What are you doing here?!!?!?!?!!?!?!?!” you yell at him.
“I said that when I was free, I would give you are tour, right?”
“Yeh…………..”
“Well, I’m free right now!”
“Are you serious?? It’s midnight! Everyone’s asleep!”
“It just means that we have the whole town to ourselves! Come on!”
“No Jr.! If my dad wakes up and finds me out of bed, he’s going to kill me!”
“Awwww, please……… I brought this bike especially for this tour” he says gesturing at the bike resting by his side. It was one of those bikes that had that straw basket attached to the front.
“NO!” you said sternly.
He doesn’t listen, hauls you onto the bike and launches off the sidewalk before you get a chance to run away. The ride starts extremely bumpy and you nearly fall off the bike.
“Hold my waist” he says shyly.
You smile because it was the only way you wouldn’t fall off the bike and bonus you get to back hug him. So, you slowly wrap your arms around his waist and lean against his back.
After a few minutes of silence and pedalling……..
“So this is the Damiea Cathedral and this is the best ice cream place in the whole town ‘Watermelon & Co.’” he tells you but all you were thinking about was Jr. and that you were back hugging him.
“___________, _______________??????? Are you listening to me????” he says.
“Waaaa???????? OH……….yeh, of course I was, Jr.” you tell him. He smiles and slows down to a halt near a park overlooking a beautiful river
“Why are you stopping??” you ask him.
“I have breakfast for you”
He gets off the bike and helps you off. He sets a picnic blanket on the snow covered grass and brings out a plate of little cakes from the bike basket. You sit down first so you don't have to determine the distance between you and Jr. . You smile at him, take a small madeira cake covered in pink icing and bite into it. The icing melted in your mouth like marshmallows. Jr. then takes a seat fairly close to you.
"__________, I need to tell you something....." he says looking at you in the eyes.
"What is it?" you ask.
He fiddles around like he was uncomfortable, then takes a deep breath in and out.
"I like you........" he says gently.
You smile, move closer to him and rested your head on his shoulder. This movement kind of startled Jr. but then smiled when he realised you had accepted his feelings.
"I like you too, Jr. " you tell him, sleepily. You yawn quietly hoping Jr. wouldn't notice but he did and layed down gently and pulled you down with him. You loved the warmth of him so you wrap your arms around him, and cuddle him. He puts an arm around you and pulls you closer to him.
"I don't like you _________, I love you" he whispers
You eventually fall asleep in Jr.'s arms.
