That Eye Smile!
Chapter 5
BamBam’s POV
Our teacher was explaining some maths to us when a girl walked into the room. I was shocked because I remembered her from the incident earlier this morning. I turned around to joke with Jr. about what had happened but he had an even more shocked face then my own. I asked him what was wrong but all he did was turn his head to the left to look at Mark who was beside him. I also did the same and saw that Mark’s eyes were so large that they looked like the giant meatballs in the spaghetti that JB usually makes for GOT7 when he has spare time. I instantly knew something was going on between Jr., Mark and that girl and I needed to find out what it was.
Our teacher suggested that she introduce herself to the class and she did just that.
“Hi, my name’s ___________, I hope we can be good friends!” she said while giving the class the brightest smile I have ever seen. The teacher thanked her and told her to find a seat. I looked around the class to guess where she was going to sit and saw that the only two spare spots was next to Jr. or JB.
She glanced around the room to find a spot and her eyes widened when she spotted Jr. and then trailed to Mark. She put her head down for a moment then lifted it back up and gave each of them a gentle smile. She slowly walked to JB, and sat down in the seat next to him. I turned over to Jr. who looked a bit disappointed that she decided to sit next to JB but instead of showing his disappointment, shrugged his shoulders and put his head down and started to do some Maths.
Something’s going on…………
JB’s POV
She looked around the room, and looked for a vacant spot. I realised that there was a spot next to me and gave her a small wave that only she could see. She quickly noticed my wave and walked over slowly to the seat next to me. There’s something about her that I realise but can’t quite put my finger on. Was it her face? Maybe I know someone that looks like her? Maybe it’s her name? I dunno, I just can’t remember………….
I admit it that she was pretty but I wasn’t looking to date anyone, just a new friend. She sat down and turned over to look at me.
“Nice to meet you” she says.
“You too, I’m JB by the way” I tell her.
“It is your real name our just like a nickname?” she asks.
“It’s kinda like a nickname I guess, but my real name is Im JaeBum. But please call me JB because I feel very uncomfortable being called JaeBum”, you tell her.
She smiles and replies “Sure!”
“So how are you liking your first day here” you tell her.
“It’s amazing! But I just moved into this area and don’t know where anything is like good cafes, parks and things like that”
“Oh, you know I could give you a tour if you want”
“Really? You would do that for me? Thanks so much!!!!”
“After school, me and my friends are going to a café like we always do. Do you wanna come? They have like the best peach iced tea ever!!!”
“Yeah, ok, that could be fun!”
“Okay, meet me afterschool at the front school gate and we’ll walk with the rest of the guys to the café!”
And with that, the bell sounds signalling the end of class and start of break.
“Ok! See ya then!” she tells me.
Youngjae’s POV
End of the school day.
GOT7 all met up at the front gate to walk together to ‘Poppy & Seed’. After a few minutes everyone had met up and everyone started walking. But then suddenly JB, stopped all of us.
“WAIT!!!! THERE’S SOMEONE ELSE” JB yells.
We all turn around and look at him with quizzed faces. Then we all see _________ come up to JB
“I invited her along with us because she’s new to this area and she has never tried the ‘Poppy & Seed’ experience” JB tells us.
We all smile at JB and _________ to show that we don’t mind if she comes along and we all start walking together to the café.
When we get to the ‘Poppy & Seed’ we get a table for 8 and all take a seat. Jr. takes his seat and looks up then sees that he’s sitting opposite to __________, puts his head down and blushes. Mark’s eyes glances back and forth from _________ to Jr. he then stops and starts looking at his menu.
“Can I please have a peach iced tea and a slice of caramel tart” Yugyeom says to the waitress who smiles and writes down his order. “I’ll give you an extra-large piece because a boy as young as you still has some growing to do” she says and Yugyeom just smiles at the fact that he has more to eat for free.
“I’ll have a banana split, please” says JB, “Hey Jackson, wanna share with me?” JB asks Jackson. “Sure hyung, I’m in the mood for some ice-cream!!” Jacksons says with an enormous but innocent grin on his face.
“What are you going to order?” Jr. asks ________. “I dunno…….. maybe a cup of bubble tea?” she replies. “Coming right up!” says the waitress writing down her order.
“Do you guys have cheeseburgers?” BamBam asks the waitress. She laughs and replies “No, I’m sorry honey but we don’t have cheeseburger at this café”. BamBam shrugs and just mumbles that he’ll have the same as ________.
When we all finished ordering, we all split into smaller conversations. __________ and Jr. were the only two not talking but no one took notice except for me. I give Jr. a signal directing to the silent ________ and Jr. seems to understand so he starts talking to her.
Jr.’s POV
When I saw Youngjae give me that gesture with his eyes leading towards ________ I instantly knew that I needed to talk to her so she didn’t feel alone.
“So where was your home before you moved here?” I ask her.
“I used to live in _________ which was absolutely amazing but we had to move because of financial reasons”
“You’ll enjoy it here, I just know it”
“I sure hope so!”
“So if have some free time, I could give you an extra special tour of this area”
“What’s special about this particular tour?”
“You’ll only find out if come” you tease her.
“Oh really? Sure, I’ll go”
“Great, when I’m free I’ll come around to your place” you tell her.
When GOT7 had finished eating and drinking, we all started to walk home. When we got to the place that she had to leave us, we all gave her a quick hug and parted ways.
Midnight 12:00am
I lay there.
I couldn’t fall to sleep whatsoever. She’s making my mind go CRAZY.
I need to see her.
Your POV
Midnight 12:00am
You woke up because of dad’s noisy breathing from the next room. You jump up to close your bedroom door. The room instantly goes quiet.
‘Finally I can get back to some snooze time’ you think to yourself.
After about 13 minutes
You wake up again because of a high-pitched ringing noise. It stops and the rings again.
Wait…………….. It’s a bicycle bell. You jump out of your bed and run quietly over to your window and look down.
There he was, gently smiling at you, with a bicycle by his side.
