Sehun takes nursing as his course and he is apparently taking his job training in a hospital. It’s his third year of taking this course. He greets every nurse, doctor, and patient he meets in the hospital as he goes to take a break. He looks in the garden of that hospital to take a rest.

He takes the job offer this hospital offers him. Sehun recalls the first operation he’ll assist and he can’t help to feel nervous even though he doesn’t have to be, because it is the doctor who will operate and he will just assist and help the doctor for it. But he swears, his first operation should be successful.

He walks slowly in the garden and he sees many patients smiling at the things they are seeing. This is just right for the patients who are suffering, they still deserve to be happy in the remaining days and hours they have in this world. He holds a water bottle and drinks on it. He sighs as he thinks that he hasn’t visited their world for a year. Is he a bad member of their world? No, he answers his self because he’s been there for 4 years and this is his last chance to reach his dream. He’ll be graduating this year and he’s so happy for this, because finally, he’ll be a nurse. But there’s a life that’s waiting for him after his graduation.

He scans the surroundings and admires the hospital for having a hospital like this. And his world suddenly stops when he sees someone familiar sitting on a bench wearing a hospital gown.

He blinks as he looks at Luhan looking at him. Luhan instantly gives him a smile. The smile of an angel, Sehun could describe it. He calmly walks towards the person and he hears his sufferings, and his heart instantly breaks, he doesn’t know that this guy is sick. Luhan is sick.

Sehun then gives Luhan his water bottle and tells him, “Drink this, this may ease the pain in some way.” He says and Luhan recognizes the voice, he recognizes the words and the meaning of it. He looks at Sehun and Sehun sees that Luhan is fighting with his sickness: the bags under his sparkling eyes, the pale as well as red lips, and the little smile that tugs on his lips. Sehun ruffles Luhan’s hair and sits beside Luhan.

“How are you?” Sehun asks Luhan who is drinking the bottle he gave. Luhan gulps painfully and his voice is hoarse, “I’m fighting.” Luhan manages to say and Sehun understands. Luhan has cancer.

Sehun then excuses himself to get a pen and paper for Luhan not to feel pain in answering his questions. Sehun immediately goes to Luhan’s side and hands Luhan the paper and pen. He then asks Luhan, “Have you visited them?” Sehun wants to smile at Luhan but he doesn’t know why he cannot. “They’re together now.” Sehun tells Luhan, Luhan just nods.

Luhan doesn’t need to write on the paper because with a simple shake of his head, Sehun would understand. Luhan shakes his head no to change the topic, and then he writes on the paper to ask Sehun the questions in his mind, “How about you? And why are you here? You’re a new nurse here?” Sehun reads.

Sehun straightens himself up before answering Luhan’s questions, “I haven’t visited them for a year because I’m busy in taking this course for it’s my last year in taking this. I’m taking my training job here Luhan. And I took this hospital’s offer.” Sehun can now smile because he knows now what to do.

Luhan nods at what Sehun says and smiles, he tells Sehun even he’s hurting, “Congratulations.” And that makes Sehun’s heart beats fast. Why didn’t just Luhan write it on paper? He rubs Luhan’s back and asks him, “Are you willing to take the operation?”

Luhan looks at him because he doesn’t know how Sehun knows about his operation after a year. Sehun understands Luhan’s expression, he says, “Take it and you’ll be my first patient Luhan. After it… let me kiss the pain away.” Sehun says as he holds Luhan’s hand. Luhan smiles at Sehun and tells him. “I will.”

“Luhan hyung!!!” somebody calls and they turn to see a smiling, energetic guy who is also wearing the hospital guy running to them. Luhan greets him and smiles, “Oh, he’s here! He’s here!” he excitedly tells Luhan and he anticipates.

He turns around and calls his boyfriend who is also wearing a hospital gown, “YiBo! Here!!”

“Yah Seungyoun, no need to shout too much.” Luhan chuckles and pats the back of the younger one.

Seungyoun smiles at him and exclaims when his boyfriend is with them already, “You know what Luhan hyung, YiBo here is also a Chinese! A-- Oh, a doctor here? Hi!” Seungyoun greets Sehun and Sehun smiles at him and introduces himself, “I’m Oh Sehun.”

“Oh you are a Korean! I’m a Korean! YiBo’s a Chinese, Luhan Hyung’s a Chinese! I’m a Korean, and you, Luhan hyung’s boyfriend Oh Sehun is a Korean! Ohhh fate!!” he exclaims and Sehun and Luhan really are determined to take the risk to be together.
