They’ve been there for each other for 3 years and counting. Nothing has changed though, but they are willing to accept the truths and changes which are coming their way.

Xiumin is reading a book in their shared room while Lay strums his guitar, composing a song for Xiumin. There is a comfortable silence around them which they are so so familiar with. Well to begin their relationship, it is really silent but in that silence, there are voices that are shouting both of their names inside which assure them of something they themselves only knew and shared.

Xiumin suddenly gets up for the nature is calling him. He walks in the bathroom outside their room and afterwards, goes to the kitchen to take some buns so they can eat it in their room.

Lay sees Xiumin goes out in the corner of his eyes and eventually, stares at Xiumin who doesn’t even spare him a glance. He pouts and suddenly feels disappointed at himself because he feels like he cannot make Xiumin happy. they haven’t done it either. He then looks at his notebook and sighs as he cannot find the right words for his song now that he’s feeling frustrated.

Then Xiumin goes in their room now and smiles at Lay. Lay finds himself smiling back at Xiumin, too. He’s lucky that I love him so much. Xiumin then sits beside Lay and hands Lay a bun. Lay smiles at him and tells Xiumin that he’ll eat it later.

Xiumin nods and looks at what Lay is doing. He asks Lay about it and Lay says as he strums his guitar, “Oh, I’m composing a song.” Xiumin nods and then places his head on Lay’s shoulder softly. Lay shivers at the contact.

“Aww, you know, you are a genius. You’re amazing that you can do things like this. I can’t even create a poem!” Xiumin exclaims then pouts. Lay just smiles because even though it sounds like a complain, he knows that Xiumin is complementing him. “Can you play it for me?” Xiumin asks.

“It’s not yet finished.” Lay shrugs but Xiumin won’t mind. “It’s okay. I want to hear your voice. You’re not yet speaking when you came here from school.” Xiumin complains and Lay can do nothing but to sing some composed lyrics and melodies for Xiumin.

Lay then leans on Xiumin’s back and Xiumin does the same, he leans on Lay’s back. Lay begins strumming the guitar and sings another song for Xiumin. Then he feels Xiumin’s head fall back on his head and he realizes that Xiumin has fallen asleep.

Lay chuckles because this is so Xiumin. He sets his guitar on the side and scoops Xiumin up in bridal style. He lays Xiumin on their bed and stands up. He fixes the book Xiumin was reading on Xiumin’s bookshelf, and arranges his things and places it inside his guitar bag.

He lies beside Xiumin and takes in Xiumin’s cute and fragile appearance. He smiles and stares at his loved one, remembering that he has his eyes on the person from the start.

Lay can’t help but to touch every part of Xiumin’s face and he smiles at himself whenever Xiumin winces at the feeling of Lay’s fingertips brushing his smooth skin. Lay then takes note of Xiumin’s lips and he can’t help but to kiss it softly. He continues to stare at Xiumin until Xiumin moves closer to him, still sleeping peacefully. Xiumin rests his hand on Lay’s chest and takes in the scent of the loved one even in his dream, “Lay…” Xiumin mumbles.

Lay then smiles as he admits to his self that he is wrong for thinking of those thoughts earlier. he realizes that even if their relationship is silent and not that intimate, it’s fine because Lay is sure that Xiumin loves him, and Xiumin is sure that Lay loves him. With just simple touches like this and simple conversations like that, it will make their relationship stronger and tighter, because they both wait together patiently for the time to learn many things about each other. And they will feel like they’ll need each other more when they notice each other’s shortcomings because they have each other to complete each self.

Lay then holds Xiumin tighter, and he whispers that he’ll wait for the right time with Xiumin. He promises that.

Xiumin then wakes up and he blinks to take in his surroundings. He feels warm arms wrapping around his waist and he knows who owns that so he hugs Lay tighter especially when he knows that Lay is asleep.

He hears Lay’s heartbeat and he wishes that it beat for him. Then he looks up at the loved one and he is indeed sleeping. Xiumin smiles as h drapes a hand on Lay’s cheeks and gives a soft kiss on his lips.

The lips move in sync with him and there Xiumin realizes that Lay us actually awake. He breaks the kiss immediately and covers his face because it’s embarrassing, kissing a sleeping person causing him to wake up. Lay realizes what Xiumin is embarrassed about and he chuckles at his cuteness.

Lay holds both of Xiumin’s wrists to stop Xiumin from hiding his red face. “Yah, don’t be embarrassed!” Lay exclaims.

“A-but you were sleeping and I suddenly kissed you!” Xiumin reasons out, not wanting Lay to see his blushing face.

“That only proves that you love me.” Lay states confidently and Xiumin freezes because it is true. He stays silent. Lay notices this so he asks Xiumin, “Hey, do you know that I love you?” Xiumin flushes red more as he nods. Lay smiles because he can now assure it, “Well, that’s great. We both know that we love each other. That’s wonderful!” Lay says cheerfully as he lifts Xiumin’s chin up.

“I’m willing to wait Xiumin, for you.” And Lay kisses Xiumin on the lips. And Xiumin is willing to return his kisses to the loved one.
