Someone is calling Kyungsoo. Kyungsoo lazily reaches out for his phone, he looks at who is calling him but it is just a set of numbers. He doesn’t know who it is but still, he picks it up, “Hello?” Kyungsoo lazily greets.

“Sleepy, are we?” the voice chuckles and Kyungsoo’s eyes get bigger as he recognizes who owns that voice.

“Mom!!” Kyungsoo shouts and sits up his bed. He checks his watch and fuck! It’s 9:30 AM, he’s supposed to pick up his mother at 10! He hasn’t eaten breakfast and shocks, his mother might get out of the plane. “Aish, sorry Mom, I’ll be there in 30 minutes, I swear!”

Kyungsoo fixes his things in the bathroom as he is still being scolded by his mother (foster) “Yah Do Kyungsoo, did you forget?”

Kyungsoo shakes his head frantically as if his mother can see him, “No Mom. It’s just I fell asleep late… too late.” Kyungsoo closes his eyes in what had happened yesterday night, Jongin didn’t let him sleep earlier by sending him a lot of text messages and such. He even called Kyungsoo 1 o’clock in the morning.

His mother ends the call and lets Kyungsoo do his thing this morning, she’ll just wait for him in more than 30 minutes; she knows Kyungsoo. She shakes his head on how she knows what will happen to her. And then she remembers what Kyungsoo told him, “Kim Jongin is my boyfriend.” And instantly, her heart pounds quickly at the name. Will Kim Jongin forgive her?

Kyungsoo quickens his movements and he goes out of his room revealing the Byuns looking at him. He greets them a good morning and they ask Kyungsoo what is going on; they even conclude that Kyungsoo and Jongin are having a date, AGAIN.

Kyungsoo wants to nod at their conclusion but he thinks they have to be prepared, too. He looks seriously at the Byuns and they know that he is serious, “Mom is coming.” He says as he looks at the eyes of the Byuns. And he can tell, everything will be revealed today, if not today, this week. And they’re sure, Kyungsoo is sure, that there are many people who’ll be affected at the changes and secrets. He just hopes that this will turn out good before he goes to America.

Kyungsoo soon bids goodbye to the Byuns and goes to the airport. He looks for his mother in the departure area. He scans for a tanned skin, sexy lady and when he finds her, he puts his hands around the lady’s waist. The lady is indeed surprised but she instantly hugs Kyungsoo back, “Wah Kyungsoo, I missed you so much!” she greets Kyungsoo.

Kyungsoo lets his face be smudged by the woman in front of him as she says that Kyungsoo is not yet changing because Kyungsoo is still squishy as ever. Kyungsoo holds his mother’s hands and tells her that they should eat because he hasn’t taken breakfast and he’s fucking hungry. His mother chuckles because Kyungsoo has changed in attitude, well; she expects it because that’s how Kyungsoo sends her messages.

They eat at one of the fast food corners there and when they settle in their seats, Kyungsoo gets ready for what is the main reason why his mother is here. “Mom… Jongin.” and his mother stops eating, she looks at Kyungsoo with nervous and teary eyes and Kyungsoo knows it but they have to tell the truth.

“Mom… or should I say… Mrs. Kim…” and there Kyungsoo says it and his mom Mrs. Kim hears it. And she can’t help but to tear up at what she hears. “Kim Jongin is doing well because of us. But you are not because he’s not with you. I think you should be showing yourself to him Mom, it’s been 7 years since he thought that you left him with nothing.”

“It’s true Kyungsoo, I left him with nothing.” She says coldly but Kyungsoo holds her hands and assures her, “No Mom, you left him with me and Tao.” Yes, Mrs. Kim told Kyungsoo and Tao to look for Jongin, her son because she wants to be with him since the Black Pearl Organization told him the Jongin died with his father. She didn’t believe at what those bastards said until she went to their house, and nothing was found there. His husband and Kim Jongin were not there anymore, the police said that they’re dead. They were fucking dead, they said.

And there Mrs. Kim met Mr. and Mrs. Do, Kyungsoo’s parents. She was still assaulted and attacked by the sharks of Black Pearl and she was found there in the hospital, together with the Dos. The Dos were the family that the Kims invested too before the Lees, thus, the wrath of Mr. Lee to Kyungsoo. Mrs. Kim was trying her best to return all the money they lost, and now, Kyungsoo will go in America, again.

But the sharks chased her and the Byuns found her in a hospital and they know everything about the Black Pearl Organization. They were the agents who were assigned to those sharks. And the Byuns were the one who’s assigned to the murder of Jongin and Mr. Kim.

Black Pearl became so dangerous and scary that Kyungsoo’s parents feared for Kyungsoo’s life in this town. But their life were threatened more than Kyungsoo’s thus, the Byuns send them to America to be safe. Afterwards, Kyungsoo was sent in America, too, but he never met his parents there. And there Kyungsoo didn’t know that Mrs. Kim filed an adoption paper for him, Kyungsoo didn’t fucking know.

But Kyungsoo soon knew about it when he came back here 3 years ago. And he didn’t fucking saw his parents for those fucking 7 years and he didn’t know why, he didn’t know where they go. Kyungsoo questioned Mrs. Kim for adopting him, Mrs. Kim told Kyungsoo that he didn’t adopt him through papers; she once decided that she’ll do it but Kyungsoo’s parents and Jongin were still alive, and she knew and Kyungsoo knew that Kyungsoo cannot fulfill Mrs. Kim’s loss for his true son, Kim Jongin. Kyungsoo knew that he cannot replace those memories Jongin and Mrs. Kim had. He will never. And Mrs. Kim and his uncle cannot replace the memories he and his parents had. And they settled in with that because Huang ZiTao happened.

Kyungsoo came back with Tao; Mrs. Kim didn’t go with him because she’s still in danger. Kyungsoo and Tao then decided to look for Jongin, and Kyungsoo’s parents. They didn’t know where to start until the sharks found them, thus, they had to be more careful. And looking for Jongin and Kyungsoo’s parents stopped eventually.

They almost forgot about looking for those people until Mrs. Kim told Kyungsoo that he has to come back in America. Kyungsoo was about to say no because he’s safe and fine in their town because he has the café and restaurant and its members. But Kyungsoo’s parents are in America, thus, the coming back and leaving the town WILL happen.

He agreed for it and in a week, he was looking forward for it but… Kim Jongin happened. Kyungsoo told everything about it to Mrs. Kim that’s why there’s an extension for a month. For a month only because Mrs. Kim knew that Kyungsoo wanted to be with his parents and because Tao was there to look after Jongin.

He got to know everything about Jongin because Jongin let him. And now, he is scared of telling Jongin the truth but he has to so Jongin would understand. And it’s the first step to forever: being honest with each other.

Jongin sends Kyungsoo a message that they should meet each other tonight, Jongin will do everything to Kyungsoo, Kyungsoo has less a week left. He still hasn’t told Kyungsoo to ask for an extension, Jongin just cannot. And he doesn’t know why. He goes to the mall to have a gift for Kyungsoo until he finds something…

Kyungsoo finds himself being with Mrs. Kim in the mall afterwards, they just settled in Kyungsoo’s room for a while and a little conversation with the Byuns. He tells everything what happened to Jongin and he can see in Mrs. Kim’s eyes, she wants to touch and be with Jongin like what Kyungsoo is doing.

Kyungsoo continues to tell Jongin’s stubbornness and sweetness. “Mom, did you know that your son, Kim Jongin is so stu---“ and Kyungsoo doesn’t know why he stops when his mother stops walking too. Kyungsoo looks at his mother looking in front of them with teary eyes. And there Kyungsoo’s heart stops, he knows. Kim Jongin is here.

He looks at the man in front of them and sees his dark and lonely eyes, “Mom?” Jongin’s eyes reflect confusion. Why did Kyungsoo call his mother Mom? What’s going on?

“Jongin…” Mrs. Kim steps forward just as Jongin steps backward. Jongin looks at Kyungsoo asking what the hell is this, but all he can see in Kyungsoo’s eyes is nervousness that Jongin doesn’t know what is true now.

Kyungsoo is about to explain Jongin everything but Jongin shouts at them, “What the hell are you doing with this woman? Y-you know each other? You even call him Mom!” Jongin’s not sure if he’s just seeing or hearing things or what, but Jongin’s mother tears up. And he tears up too when he realizes everything now, “You’re Kyungsoo’s mother…” then Jongin looks at Kyungsoo who is shaking his head, “Kyungsoo? You’re my brother? B-but…” And Jongin cannot believe all the things they did. They even…. Urgh, then Kyungsoo is his brother?

Kyungsoo shakes his head and explains Jongin, “N-no! I’m adopted, remember?”

Jongin takes some time to sink those words in him, “My replacement.” And Jongin smiles as his tears fall from his eyes. Kyungsoo breaks down; he shakes his head because it’s never true, no one can replace Jongin in Mrs. Kim’s heart, Kyungsoo knows it. He feels the same way towards his parents. But it’s too late to tell that to Jongin. Jongin runs away to nowhere.

Mrs. Kim bows his head to Kyungsoo, apologizing; she’s the one at fault. Kyungsoo knows everything so he pulls her into an embrace and tells her that it’s okay, Jongin will understand and he knows it. He trusts Jongin.

But that trust… will it last long when Jongin doesn’t trust Kyungsoo anymore? Can a trust survive when there is one doubting and concluding things in his mind?

Jongin is still here for 3 hours now; he drowns himself for the first time. He drowns his self in alcohol at what the hell he saw earlier. Kyungsoo, that woman, Kyungsoo calling her Mom, adopted, replacement, son, Jongin, what the fuck… he does’t know now! Kyungsoo knows Jongin for all those times! He knows what is going on and probably, fuck it! Kyungsoo knows about the Black Pearl. Kyungsoo is a great liar, right? And actor? For all those weeks, for all the things they’ve done, Kyungsoo didn’t bother to tell him that he knows what is going on. It’s not fair.

And suddenly, Sehun shoves his drink away, “What the hell Jongin? Since when are you drinking?!” Sehun doesn’t know why he instantly gets mad; he just doesn’t want Jongin to see like this.

Jongin looks at Sehun and laughs, “Oh Sehun, you’re here. Are you here for me?” Jongin puts an arm around Sehun’s shoulder and Sehun knows that Jongin is drunk.

He pulls Jongin to stand to take him home; Kyungsoo shouldn’t see them like this. But there is one man who is thinking the wrong thing. He sneaks and looks at the ex-couple going in Sehun’s unit. He wrinkles his eyes at what the hell Sehun is doing. Thus, he calls Kyungsoo.

Sehun puts Jongin on his bed and lets Jongin drink water. “Hey Jongin, what happened?” Sehun pats Jongin’s back. Jongin has been mumbling that he trusted Kyungsoo. What happened?

Jongin looks at Sehun and instantly hug him, “I trusted him.” And Jongin starts to cry. Sehun feels sad at this break down of Jongin, did something happen to Kyungsoo? “Kyungsoo lied to me.”

And Sehun breaks the hug, wanting to know what happened to them. “Kyungsoo and my mom, they know each other. They know all about me, about the organization but he lied, he told me that he didn’t know Kris but I know he knows Kris! And about you Sehun he knows it Sehun… he knows it but he kept his mouth shut. I’m sorry Sehun.” Jongin holds Sehun’s hands and apologizes to him.

Sehun tells Jongin it’s alright. Jongin didn’t know about the threat and he just disappeared, “Do you want to go back?” Jongin doesn’t know what he’s saying. Sehun thinks that Jongin is just drunk. He keeps on rubbing Jongin’s shoulder and tells him to rest.

Then Jongin turns to him, “Do you want to come back to me Sehun?” Sehun’s ears instantly tingle at what he heard. Sehun looks at Jongin in disbelief; he takes a step backward from Jongin. Jongin is so drunk.

Jongin stands up and walks closer to Sehun, “Let’s go back to what we used to be.” Sehun steps backward and shakes his head. He doesn’t want this. “No Jongin, you’re just drunk.”

“But you want to take me back, right? I’m coming back to you Sehun. Let’s forget everything that happened here in this town, it’s only 3 weeks.” Jongin says until Sehun is trapped on a corner. Sehun pushes Jongin but Jongin is stronger than him. “Don’t do this Jongin. N-no----“ and Jongin starts kissing Sehun on his lips.

And there Jongin receives a slap which he doesn’t expect, he wrinkles his eyes to Sehun, “You want this, right? You want me to take me back! Here I am!! I am the one who’s coming to you!” And Jongin attacks Sehun with a kiss. Sehun doesn’t want to give in to Jongin’s kisses because this is not right.

“Don’t act like you’re hard to get Sehun, I know you want this too.” And Sehun slaps Jongin and a tear falls from his eyes, “I never thought you think of me that way!” Sehun hits Jongin on his chest.

“Sehun...” Luhan gasps when they see the whole scene. Sehun looks at his door with Luhan, Tao, and Kyungsoo at it. Sehun opens his mouth to apologize but no sound is coming out.

Kyungsoo’s eyes water instantly and he runs to Jongin and hits Jongin’s chest, mumbling “I trusted you.” With every slaps and hits he gives Jongin.

Jongin feels Kyungsoo’s slaps and hits, and when it hurts now, he holds both of Kyungsoo’s hands to stop him and shouts at Kyungsoo, “I trusted you too!!” and Jongin throws Kyungsoo’s hands away.

He digs in his fingers to Kyungsoo as he insults Kyungsoo to what he has done. “You know that I am lost because of my mother, and now, here I am, learning that you replaced me in my mother’s life. Is it the reason why she didn’t look for me? That woman has you while I don’t have anyone?! That’s great! She’s happy in America while I’m struggling here!” Jongin shouts at Kyungsoo. “Did you know? I should’ve wished that she’d be the one who died instead of my father!” and there Jongin receives a big slap.

Kyungsoo wrinkles his eyes at Jongin because Jongin doesn’t have enough knowledge at what happened to his mother to insult her, “You don’t know what she did when she was in the hospital because she did everything to look for you. Do you know why she went to America? No! You don’t know! She was attacked by the sharks of Black Pearl because of looking for you! I’m not telling this to you for you to feel guilty Jongin. I’m telling you this because you don’t know everything and you don’t have the right to tell her that you want her dead! She even told us to look for you for your sake Jongin! And we’re supposed to bring you in America with me, but here you are...” Kyungsoo shakes his head and walks away from Jongin.

“So did she hire you to love me too? To look for me? Tell me how much money she gave you.” Jongin says that makes Kyungsoo stop. Hearing that, Kyungsoo instantly throws his shoe to Jongin; it hits him on his stomach.

“She didn’t need to hire me Jongin, I wanted to help her because I can never replace you in her heart, and I will never Jongin. You still deserve her and she deserves you.”

Jongin looks around, and when he sees that there’s no one other than Kyungsoo who is making his way towards the door, he pulls him back and turns his body to face him, “Tell me, why did you lie?! It’s my life Kyungsoo, and you cannot control it, I still have to know everything! But why didn’t you tell me?!!”

“I was planning to tell everything to you before but… but I was scared.” Kyungsoo bites his lips which are quivering.

“Why are you scared?! You didn’t care for me that time!!” Jongin shouts at Kyungsoo, wanting to understand what the hell has gone in Kyungsoo’s mind all the time. Kyungsoo has so much time to tell him the truth but he didn’t speak even once.

“I did Jongin, because you are Mrs. Kim’s son!”

“So you pitied me! So everything was all because of pity!!” Jongin realizes it, but Kyungsoo keeps shaking his head no.

“I was afraid that you might run away because you ALWAYS run away from your problems Jongin, you run away from me, from us. I did that to protect you too.”

“So it’s my fault then!!!” Jongin exclaims but Kyungsoo becomes guiltier.

“No…” Kyungsoo whispers. “I did that to protect you, you were not happy then so I was afraid that it might make you lonelier and sadder. I didn’t want that to happen.” Kyungsoo tells his side to Jongin and he keeps on looking down the ground.

“Look at me Kyungsoo…” Jongin says after a second of silence. Kyungsoo eventually looks up just to see his tear-strained face, and his eyes filled with loneliness and regret. “Am I not lonelier now that I thought I could trust you, I thought you could make me happy… but I guess I am wrong.” Jongin closes his eyes just as the tears from his eyes fall to his cheeks, and Kyungsoo breaks witnessing that.

Sehun now is being taken by Luhan. Luhan drags him to somewhere Sehun doesn’t know. He feels Luhan’s grip tightens and he pulls his hand away from Luhan’s grip. He doens’t know why Luhan is doing this. “What the hell Luhan?” he asks him.

Luhan then shouts at him, “What are you doing Sehun?!” Sehun wrinkles his eyes at what Luhan is talking about. Luhan sees this and he continues, “I thought you’ll let them go!”

“I did!” Sehun shouts at Luhan, still figuring out what Luhan’s point is. “But what are you doing?!” Luhan shouts back. “Why did you take Jongin home?”

“Because I don’t know where he is living. And he’s fucking drunk in that bar. I cannot let him walk or be drunk like that!” Sehun defends himself which Luhan doesn’t understand.

“You still love him.” Luhan doesn’t know why he shakes his head, but he knows that Sehun shouldn’t do what he did to Jongin.

But Sehun is not doing anything wrong, he just helped a friend. Sehun nods. “Yes, I do.” Sehun now understands what Luhan is trying to say, and now, he’ll make Luhan understand what he is doing.

“So thus the help he got from you.” Luhan points out.

“And you love Kyungsoo... so thus the call he got from you. You didn’t know what happened Luhan, but still, you concluded things, am I right?” Sehun finds himself asking Luhan who sinks at the very words of Sehun. Sehun is somewhat right.

“You’ve seen the whole scene, right?” And Luhan finds himself nodding. “What happened? Did I return the kiss?” Luhan bites his lips for being unreasonable. He called Kyungsoo saying that Sehun and Jongin were cheating on him. Why did he say that? Sehun continues, “No Luhan... I let him go for Kyungsoo. I saw him with that Kris... but after talking about it with Tao, I realized what he’s doing; he’s protecting Jongin.” Sehun says calmly. Luhan bows his head to say an apology but Sehun understands, Luhan still wants Kyungsoo... but Luhan needs to let Kyungsoo go.
