But Jongin doesn’t know… all he knows is he cannot love Kyungsoo. Jongin stands up and suddenly runs away from him. Kyungsoo suddenly stops from his singing and the music stops just as Jongin opens the door from the inside to escape.

Kyungsoo doesn’t know why. He fucking doesn’t know why is this happening. He just did what he can… but why does Jongin have to runaway? He just told Jongin what he’s feeling. He looks at Jongin’s table and sees the notes on it. They have marks, I LOVE YOU.
Jongin knows now that he loves him, so why does he have to runaway? He can just reject Kyungsoo in front of everyone else but Kyungsoo can’t understand. Kyungsoo suddenly feels a lump in his throat causing him to shed a tear because of fucking rejection.
He doesn’t know that rejection hurts that way. Or maybe because Jongin just ranaway. Fuck it. Kyungsoo cannot let this. He runs outside the café and restaurant and looks for Jongin to fucking know why he has to runaway when he can just reject Kyungsoo that time, that easy. It’s not hard to reject someone, especially because Kyungsoo is Kyungsoo, and Jongin is Jongin.
But Kyungsoo finds himself asking, Who is Kim Jongin? He runs to nowhere even if he wants to cut his injured foot in this fucking time of the evening now.
Kyungsoo doesn’t call Jongin’s name anymore… he doesn’t know why but he feels disappointed because this is not fucking Kim Jongin… or this is the true Kim Jongin that Kyungsoo is longing to know.
Kyungsoo searches everywhere but he cannot find Jongin. Then someone clutches his arm hard that he winces. He turns around to find one of the sharks of that organization. His eyes widen because he knows that he cannot fight with this big man.
Kyungsoo tries to get out of the person’s grip but the man turns his head to face him harshly, “Where are the Kims?” the man asks Kyungsoo.
Kyungsoo shakes his head and shouts, “I don’t know what you’re talking about!” just to be hit on the cheek by the big man. Kyungsoo’s neck feels like it breaks at how hard the man hit him.
He thinks first before getting into an action. If he spits on the man’s face, Kyungsoo knows that he’ll be beaten up and killed by this guy, so that option is a never. Kyungsoo holds the man’s arm and bites it. When he hears the man’s groan, he instantly knees the man’s member so that he won’t be able to catch Kyungsoo because Kyungsoo’s foot is cursed.
The man loses grip of Kyungsoo’s arm so Kyungsoo gets a taxi and tells the driver to send him home because he knows that there are more guys who are looking for him now that they saw that he’s with Kim Jongin all the time. Kyungsoo should be fucking careful. And so is Jongin.
Kyungsoo knows that he has to protect Jongin but how can he protect Jongin when he cannot protect his self. Just what the fuck, right? So Kyungsoo thinks that it is better to go home because they won’t be able to follow them here, right?
Kyungsoo knocks on the door of the Byuns and Chanyeol opens the door with shocked and worried face because Kyungsoo has a bruise on his cheek. “Oh my god Kyungsoo, what happened to you?” Chanyeol drags Kyungsoo in the house and sits him on the couch.
Baekhyun walks out his room just to find Kyungsoo treated by his mother, “Kyungsoo, what happened? Where is Jongin?” he asks frantically thinking that Jongin might be in danger too.
“I cannot find him, but Tao… Tao followed him.” Kyungsoo knows and Baekhyun nods because he sees that Tao ran after when Jongin ran away earlier.
“Why the hell did he runaway?” Kyungsoo curses. “He can just reject me that time… is he scared?” Kyungsoo asks everyone but they all have no answers because the only one who can answer that is, of course, Jongin.
Tao is still following Jongin who is running so fast. Tao doesn’t know why Jongin is running away. Kyungsoo doesn’t do something bad to him, or did Kyungsoo tell him the truth? Tao is fucking tired and he curses Jongin who is still running and running.
Tao huffs and tells himself to stop but it is fucking dangerous right now, especially it’s night time when the sharks are negotiating with some other people and for fuck’s sake, they know that Jongin is a Kim.
Tao crouches down because he’s so tired but he still keeps an eye to Jongin because he shouldn’t lost him. And when he sees that Jongin is running to his direction, Tao stands up and knows that the sharks are chasing Jongin. He runs to Jongin to protect him and Jongin is surprised when he sees Tao in front of him.
Tao faces the sharks and gets ready for a fight. But before attacking, Tao tells Jongin, “There’s nothing we can do but to fight. They’re everywhere you fucker. You’re so careless.” Tao scolds Jongin. And Jongin readies himself for a fight too, throwing the questions out of his head for the mean time to mind the sharks in front of him.
One of the sharks screams and that indicates that start of the fight. Jongin punches the man in front of him and immediately kicks the stomach of the man behind him which makes the man groan in pain. He shoves the man in front of him and then straddles him to give punches in the face.
Tao then uses his skills in martial arts for he is born to fight. His long arm reaches the man’s face which makes the man fall down the ground at the speed and impact. Tao sees something on the ground which can really help them beat these asses off.
He quickly picks it up and his arm instantly goes to where the guy who is beating Jongin up is. The guy looks at him and shouts curses for what Tao did to him. Tao hits his hand with the stick in his hand. The guy flinches at how his hands sting when Tao hit him with the stick.
The guy now faces Tao and cracks his neck to let Tao know that he’s ready. Tao cocks an eyebrow to him and hits the guy’s hand. The guy flinches and flies as Tao’s kicks blow to his head and body. Tao flies as he does the things he learned when he was young.
The guys who saw the scene instantly feel scared at what Tao is doing. They don’t have any weapons to give to the two. So when Tao faces them, they run away quickly and leave the guys who are beaten up just there.
Jongin looks at Tao and he really feels different towards him. Jongin flinches when Tao offers his hand to him. Tao laughs at how scared Jongin is to him, so he assures, “Don’t worry, let me take you to a safe place.” Tao says and Jongin hesitantly holds Tao’s hand to stand up.Jongin is not beaten up badly, it is just he’s so tired for running away from the café and restaurant. He thinks of what Kyungsoo will say then Tao asks him, “Why the hell did you run away huh? Kyungsoo was just confessing, are you really that scared?” Tao asks him with annoyance in his voice.
Jongin must admit, “I am scared.” For the first time, to this strange man, Jongin admits that he’s scared. Of the organization. Of Kyungsoo. And of his feelings. Because he doesn’t know now.
Tao gets a taxi so they’d be able to get to the place easier and he knows that Kyungsoo is worried for Jongin now. Tao looks at Jongin and tells him to rest, Jongin nods and leans his head, feeling the coolness of the winter wind blowing from the opened window of the taxi.
Tao should have told Jongin that it is fucking cold but he understands Jongin. He understands why Jongin is scared. He just lets the younger one to think of what is the right thing to do. “Running away isn’t a solution to your problem.” Tao suddenly says.
He looks at Jongin whose eyes are closed and Tao smiles. And because he knows that Jongin is listening, he continues, “Running away is nothing but cowardice.” And Tao knows that Jongin agrees that’s why Jongin won’t run away anymore or else, “You don’t have the right to protect him.” and he sees Jongin clenches his knuckles into a fist.
Jongin eventually falls asleep in the taxi cab and Tao just lets him. But he fucking closes the window because it gives him shivers in his body. Tao watches Jongin sleep and he really thinks of why the hell did this boy run away. He can just tell Kyungsoo that he’s scared because Kyungsoo will understand. Kyungsoo understands.
Jongin is now awakened by Tao. He opens his eyes sleepily as Tao says, “We are here.” He straightens his sitting and he licks his lips for he feels that it’s dry, maybe because of the wind blowing into his face earlier. Tao goes out the taxi and so is Jongin.
Jongin looks around the place and he fucking curses, “Why the hell are we in the Byuns residence…” Jongin heart beats so fast. He ran away because he cannot face Kyungsoo and here he is. Can he run away again? Definitely not, Running away is nothing but cowardice or else you don’t have the right to protect him…
Tao knows that Jongin will curse him to live in hell, but Tao tells the truth, “Don’t worry, this place is safe. Because almost all of their neighbors are policemen. And so is Mr. Byun and Mrs. Byun.” Jongin nods learning the occupationg of Baekhyun’s parents. He fidgets in front of the Byuns door until Baekhyun opens the door for them.
“Jongin! Tao!” Baekhyun greets and lets them inside. Yet, Jongin can feel the weight of the stares of the Byuns at him. Then Tao speaks up, “Jongin was chased by them.” and that softens the looks of the Byuns and that makes Jongin wonder.
Then a crack on the door is heard and Jongin instantly freezes when Kyungsoo greets him, “Jongin… let’s talk. In my room.” Jongin’s heartbeat races when he turns around and feels scared at Kyungsoo for the first time.
Jongin hesitantly walks in Kyungsoo’s room he is familiar with. He bites his lips when Kyungsoo tells him to come in and sit on a chair. Jongin can feel the disappointment in Kyungsoo’s voice and he doesn’t like it a bit.
Jongin hasn’t heard Kyungsoo’s soft voice for fucking three days (let’s not include what happened yesterday night) and this is what he can hear? Jongin feels so bad.
Then Kyungsoo faces him but he is the one who cannot face the older one. “Why the hell did you run away?” he asks and Jongin can only bow his head in embarrassment. How the hell is he supposed to tell Kyungsoo the truth?
Kyungsoo repeats the question with more roughed voice. Jongin then tells him, “You won’t understand…” “Then make me understand Jongin. Tell me the truth. Tell me all… for fuck’s sake!” Kyungsoo doesn’t know why he is shouting right now. But he thinks that Jongin will answer him if he shouts.
Kyungsoo is hurt knowing that Jongin ran away after he fucking confessed, all he wants to know is Jongin’s reason and he won’t desire for anything anymore. “You know, you don’t have to runaway from me when you can just reject me that time, you’re tak--“
“I’m not fucking rejecting you ‘kay? Who told you that I’m fucking rejecting you?! I don’t have the answer okay? I don’t want to answer because I can’t understand it yet!!” Jongin hisses at Kyungsoo like the old times. He doesn’t know anything now, all he knows is that he has the right to protect Kyungsoo.
Hearing Jongin says that. Kyungsoo can’t help but to smile. The fluttering feeling in his heart is coming back to him now. Oh my god he’s not rejecting me. And Jongin can see it yet he still asks, “Yah why are you fucking smiling?” Jongin rolls his eyes like the usual.
Kyungsoo’s smile turns into a heart-shaped one he always has, and he tells Jongin, “And that’s the reason why you ran away?” his voice is softer than earlier. Kyungsoo is so bitch and fucker.
Jongin looks at him and thinks… he fucking admitted to Tao that he’s scared. So can he admit to Kyungsoo that he’s scared too? He looks at Kyungsoo’s concerned eyes and he’s not sure but he’s decided.
Then the door opens, revealing a Chanyeol with a tray of sandwiches and juice on his hands. He walks in the room and excuses himself for the mean time. He tells the two to eat his sandwich while talking to each other.
And when the door closes, Jongin immediately gets a sandwich from the tray and readies himself to tell Kyungsoo the truth, Kyungsoo wants it too. “Listen--“ he mumbles as he bites on the sandwich on his hands. It fucking tastes sour. He looks at Kyungsoo who is always ready to listen to him.
He gives Kyungsoo a familiar look and Kyungsoo smiles and is about to laugh as he munches the sandwich, “Enjoy the mayo.” And Jongin fucking wants to puke. He drinks the juice and places the sandwich on the tray again and stops eating.
“I’ll sue that pedophile to the school.” Jongin curses but he won’t do it. And Kyungsoo knows it because he laughs so hard because Jongin’s serious face has gone into an angry and annoyed one. And hearing the word pedophile…
“Am I a pedophile?” he should have asked himself and he doesn’t intend to let Jongin hear it. Jongin looks at him and he instantly goes red. He looks away and feels his heart beats faster than earlier.
He places his palm on his mouth and he doesn’t know why he answers Kyungsoo. “I don’t know.” It should be a whisper but Kyungsoo hears it that makes the surroundings more awkward.
“Fuck it.” Kyungsoo mumbles and groans. He looks at Jongin’s embarrassed and lost face and he decides, “Just tell me everything tomorrow. Now go, fix yourself and let’s sleep.” Kyungsoo shoves Jongin away and Jongin instantly goes out of Kyungsoo’s room to ask for Baekhyun’s brother for another set of clothes.

Urgh, I’ll cut to this one because if I still continue to the story of Jongin’s life, I think this will be more than 6k+ word chapter… but this is a 3+k word chapter.
