Jongin doesn’t know if he really has to do this. But he just told Kyungsoo that he’ll see him after school. So he is waiting for the slower one to get to the school gates now. And Jongin fucking doesn’t know why he is being greeted by some students, he is not the boyfriend of fucking Do Kyungsoo.

He crosses his arms at how short Kyungsoo’s strides are. He rolls his eyes when he realizes that Kyungsoo has an injury which makes him slower. So Jongin goes to Kyungsoo’s building to fetch him.

Jongin is wrong. The reason why Kyungsoo is making him wait is because the fucker is still chatting with some students and Jongin doesn’t like it a bit. Why does he have to make Jongin wait when he has this company of his to walk him home? And Jongin doesn’t know why he fucking invites Kyungsoo to take him to his house. Jongin rolls his eyes.

Then Kyungsoo’s gaze goes to Jongin which makes his smile wider, he greets Jongin with a wave and eventually goes to him. Kyungsoo waves goodbye to the students and looks at Jongin. Jongin glares at Kyungsoo and starts walking to the school gates.

Jongin then finds this unusual silence which makes him uncomfortable. He watches Kyungsoo walks slowly with him and he can’t help but to break the fucking silence, “Is your foot okay?” he doesn’t know why he sounds like he cares for the man.

Kyungsoo looks at his foot and then at Jongin and smiles. He nods and that assures Jongin. Jongin is a little befuddled to Kyungsoo’s fucking attitude because it’s not so Kyungsoo, if this is Kyungsoo, he would have told all the things that have happened to him in his room today now that it’s all new and about how his foot fucking hurts, and he’ll end up shut by Jongin.

Jongin blinks as Kyungsoo waves his hand to bid goodbye to Jongin when Kyungsoo takes a bus ride home, because he obviously cannot walk with that condition of his foot. Jongin finds it unusual and uncomfortable but he lets this go for the day. He must see tomorrow.

Jongin is greeted by Kyungsoo at the school gates. Jongin goes to Kyungsoo and observes that his foot might has gotten beter than yesterday so he doesn’t need to ask.

Jongin and Kyungsoo are walking in the hallway and Jongin can’t help but to think about what the hell has happened to this Do Kyungsoo. He looks at Kyungsoo and he cannot find some worries through the image except that this boy is not talking. Jongin furrows his eyes on Kyungsoo thinking that he just cannot see it clearly but he ends up called ‘weird’ by Kyungsoo when Kyungsoo looks at Jongin with those same furrowed eyes.

Jongin flinches because Kyungsoo notices that he’s examining the boy in front of him. He looks at the hallway and the students greet them and he can hear the giggles of some girls about them. Jongin rolls his eyes and tells himself not to mind it because those are not fucking true. He just doesn’t know why it overwhelms him.

It’s time for them to part ways now and Kyungsoo just waves goodbye to him. And Jongin is bound in puzzlement at why Kyungsoo is fucking silent today. He thinks of the many possibilities.

He thinks, what if some students told him not to talk to me or else he will be beaten up because they now his weakness now? And kyungsoo is just so scared that he might be killed by these students? Jongin doesn’t know exactly what to think.

If this is true, fuck it. Jongin suddenly punches his desk which disturbs the whole class and he is fucking thrown out by the teacher in his class because of his sudden action.

Jongin doesn’t mean to punch his desk but he can’t help but to worry about Kyungsoo’s safety. What if the fucker has been trailing on Kyungsoo again? And then Jongin suddenly remembers that Kyungsoo is not wearing the star-shaped ring the little girl has given him. And that worries Jongin much more.

He bites his lips to think of other mild possibilities; maybe Kyungsoo’s voice has been hoarse especially that he cried a lot yesterday. Yes, that possibility is valid... but Kyungsoo is not that stupid to not to even say a word to Jongin. His gestures of hand and body are the only things Jongin can understand for now.

And then, Jongin remembers how Kyungsoo holds his notebook in his hands like there is something in it. And Kyungsoo is also holding a pen marker which is unusual for Jongin because Kyungsoo hates the smell of the marker yet he’s holding that as if he’s ready to use it everytime.

Jongin scratches his head at his wild and stupid ideas of why Kyungsoo is acting that way. It’s so mysterious. He leans his head on his fingers to think. Why is he so damn quiet... Jongin doesn’t know but Jongin has to know.

If Jongin’s idea earlier of having fuckers around Kyungsoo is true. What the hell, How can I protect him if he’s that quiet? How can I protect him if he won’t talk to me? He should tell me about his problems.... because if he won’t... how can I fucking protect him if he won’t let me. Jongin curses himself.

He doesn’t know what to do now. If he asks Kyungsoo about it, there’s a possibility that Kyungsoo won’t tell him the truth because the fuckers might have warned him not to, especially now that they know that Jongin is there to protect Kyungsoo. Are you fucking crazy Kyungsoo?! He feels frustrated.

Jongin gives thanks to the heavens when it’s finally lunch time. This means that he can ask Kyungsoo about what the hell is his problem. He walks to the canteen to look for Kyungsoo and when he finds it, he is a little doomed.

He sees Kyungsoo happily speaking with this Xiumin guy whom he saved from the other days. And they are both cute, Jongin must admit. He walks to Kyungsoo to threaten Xiumin but Xiumin just greets him, “Oh hi Jongin. How are you?”

Jongin says he is fine even though he is not because as soon as he’s a meter away form Kyungsoo, Kyungsoo starts to be silent again. Jongin looks at Kyungsoo, what the hell is your problem... Jongin wants to throw Kyungsoo on the roof.

Jongin doesn’t know why he still stays with this damned Kyungsoo even though silence drapes over them. The students are looking at them with curious looks because usually, these two should have killed each other now that they don’t have anybody to sit in with them in the canteen.

They look at them wanting to know what will happen next and Jongin curses them because with those looks, he feels like he cannot ask Kyungsoo about that problem. Because maybe, those fuckers are spying over Kyungsoo now that he’s with him. And if Kyungsoo tells something even if he would deny it, Jongin is a little too sure that Kyungsoo will be doomed.

So Jongin just lets Kyungsoo do this fucking thing and will just ask Kyungsoo in the cafe and restaurant and he’s sure that Kyungsoo will be able to tell him everything and everything will be fine, right?

Kyungsoo is cursing Jongin because Jongin won’t ask him about his silence yet. Kyungsoo can’t help but to think that Jongin doesn’t care about him. Maybe Jongin is just obliged to be with him because he told Kyungsoo that he will protect him, right? Kyungsoo pouts and he knows that Jongin sees this but the hell, Jongin doesn’t ask about it.

Kyungsoo looks at Jongin with those bored eyes and stands up to go to his room now because Jongin is fucking insensitive. This, he must restrain himself from talking and he just knows what he should do.

Soon, a smile appears on Kyungsoo’s face as he bids goodbye to Jongin to go to their own classes again. Jongin wants to curse the why the world didn’t let him be with the same class as Kyungsoo because he fucking has to keep an eye on him. But Jongin shakes his head because that is not a good idea especially when Kyungsoo will be normal again. If that will happen, Jongin must be in a prison now.

Now that Jongin has been thinking about this all day, Jongin is sure of that now that he thinks that this is just one of Kyungsoo’s games and Jongin finds himself cursing Kyungsoo because he fucking tricked him. But he surely won’t fall to this one anymore. Fuck you Kyungsoo… Game on!

Jongin is now waiting for Kyungsoo again at the school gate and he’s sure he’ll kill Kyungsoo for he made him worry. And when he sees Kyungsoo waving his hand happily with that notebook and marker on his hands again, Jongin crosses his arms across his chest to get ready kill Kyungsoo.

As soon as Kyungsoo is in front of him, Jongin pins Kyungsoo to the wall which startles the smaller one. Kyungsoo gulps because of Jongin’s sudden action. Kyungsoo’s big and surprised eyes meet Jongin’s raged and annoyed one. “Why the hell are you playing this game?! Talk to me!!” Jongin almost shouts at Kyungsoo.

Kyungsoo then sees Jongin through and he soon relaxes. He smiles wider than usual and pats Jongin’s shoulder to tell the taller one not to worry but Jongin still holds the same eyes. Kyungsoo sighs and writes something on that notebook, he scrunches his nose for he can smell the marker.

Jongin furrows his eyes on what the hell is Kyungsoo doing until he reads the note written in the notebook, “So you noticed it finally! Phew. Aish, just check one of your notebooks when you get home. ;)

Goodbye! See you tomorrow! XOXO~ <3: ” it says and Kyungsoo suddenly bids goodbye to Jongin and walks in the bus. While Jongin is left there, befuddled at this game of Kyungsoo.

And as soon as Jongin gets home, he throws his notebooks and looks for the thing that Kyungsoo has given to him. And when he finds a note in one of his notebooks, he reads it.

“Hi yah Jongin!
So you really searched for this little note of mine for you. I am so happy because I thought you won’t ask me about my silence, because if you really don’t ask me, I will kiss you on the lips, for real. Fuck it.

So the reason why I am quiet whenever I’m with you is that you asked for this.—and Jongin blinks at what Kyungsoo is telling him. He recalls the things he asked for Kyungsoo and he finds himself asking, Did I ask Kyungsoo anything? And it’s a no, for him. Well, Jongin, just continues reading the note – You said you want to protect me but I must be quiet whenever I’m with you. And that fucking sucks now that I’ve tried it but I have to keep quiet so you’d be able to protect me. And the reason why I don’t at least say a word to you is because if I even say a word, it will be followed more and I won’t be able to keep quiet when I’m around you.

I’m sorry for this stupidity but I want to know what the feeling of being protected is, okay? And it just happens that it’d be you. OMO, I’m blushing. Ahaha, you’re my knight in shining armor—Jongin rolls his eyes at what the fuck is Kyungsoo’s idea –I know you understand. So just remember that I’m doing this BIG sacrifice for you. (Yes jongin, this is a big sacrifice because being with you without saying a word is hell. So you must reward me something after this)

Jongin takes note of the image of Pororo and Krong at the end of Soo’s O and Jongin’s X. What the fuck is this, Jongin will say. But he finds himself smiling at how a 18-year old fucker can think of these childish ideas.

Jongin finds himself now waiting for the new Kyungsoo and as he sees the stupid one, he refrains himself from smiling because he still made him worry. So he shows his usual face to Kyungsoo while Kyungsoo plasters the same smile he shows to Jongin and everyone now.

Jongin and Kyungsoo are walking to the hallway with the silence only the two of them can understand. And that makes Kyungsoo smile more now that he’s thought of it. They share the same secret. Kyungsoo giggles which makes Jongin look at him. Kyungsoo sheepishly hides himself on his shoulder and puts a peace sign with his fingers. Jongin rolls his eyes and proceeds to his room with no worries.

Xiumin and Lay are walking with Kyungsoo to their PE class which is usually held outside. The teacher scolds the other students who are not exercising and warming up except for the three. The students will point at them and the teacher will say that Xiumin and Lay are looking and entertaining Kyungsoo who is not yet allowed to do the things in PE because of his foot. Xiumin and Lay would usually just laugh at the unlucky students who are not chosen by Kyungsoo.

Kyungsoo is all mouth now. He tells his and Jongin’s story to his new found close friends and they are listening intently to Kyungsoo because they are both quiet and don’t have much to say. They just ask Kyungsoo about Jongin but Kyungsoo just shuts his mouth up because yeah, he doesn’t know Jongin that much. But he knows that Jongin is living alone in that big house of his aunt because Baekhyun told him before when he was not able to take Jongin home because he was sick.

Kyungsoo looks at the other students and gives thanks that they are not that minding him for being all so smiley. And then he remembers how Lay and Jongin met. Yes, Kyungsoo knows that Jongin made SOME students to realize the things that made Kyungsoo cry. And Lay is one of those.

Lay then storytells at how he met Xiumin. When Xiumin was being bullied by the other guys, Lay was just awakened by his shouts and such. And Lay didn’t know who Xiumin is that time, he just always saw the other one before. Then he suddenly thought of Jongin who beat the guy who fucked Kyungsoo in just a matter of minutes and Lay immediately looked for him and dragged him to where Xiumin was.

And Jongin instantly helped Xiumin thinking that Xiumin was Lay’s friend, but he was not his friend that time but eventually, when Lay brought Xiumin to the infirmary, they became friends and so was Jongin. Even though Jongin doesn’t seem to befriend with them.

Kyungsoo says that it is normal for Jongin to act like he never cares. But Kyungsoo knows that he cares, especially for Kyungsoo. And Kyungsoo finds himself blushing because he knows it. Lay and Xiumin just smile at how in love Kyungsoo is with Jongin.

Then Xiumin asks Kyungsoo, “Are you and Jongin going out?” which makes Kyungsoo blush. Lay coos but Kyungsoo shakes his head and becomes redder than he is now.

“Wooh! Don’t deny it! Your face says it all!” Lay shouts but Kyungsoo shakes his head and tells them that he is not going out with Jongin and he doesn’t know why he is blushing.

“Noo!! We’re not dating… not yet.” Kyungsoo stomps his not injured foot and laughs afterwards with Xiumin and Lay. Their laughter fills the air but that laughter also dooms someone that he curses them for being so loud because he still has fucking test in English after this fucking homeroom where his pedophile adviser Baekhyun seonsaengnim holds his class outside the building once again.

Jongin glares at Kyungsoo, Lay, and Xiumin because they’re having a good time there while he is fucking studying here and he can also hear the laughs and words of the fucking Do Kyungsoo, I should ask him to not continue this game. He tells himself as he pouts and goes to studying his English notes.

Then Jongin hears that Kyungsoo’s teacher is dismissing them now and it’s time for Kyungsoo to go in the building. So Jongin takes one last glance to Kyungsoo and to his surprise which makes him blush, Kyungsoo is waiting for him to look at him. Then he holds the same notebook and has something written on it.

“Check your English notebook. XOXO~ <3: ” the note says and Kyungsoo smiles and waves goodbye to Jongin. Jongin waits for Kyungsoo to disappear before searching through the notebook he is holding to find the note Kyungsoo is talking about.

Then he reads,

“Hey Jongin,

Do you miss my voice? Can you hear how my voice sounds so soft? At how it blends with the wind when I’m singing a soft song? At how it blends with the crowd when I’m singing a rock song? At how it blends with your shouts and curses that I like the most? Can you hear my heart beats louder and faster whenever I’m with you? OMO. I’m afraid that you do now that I’m not talkie talkie with you anymore. But it’s not that I always talk whenever I’m with you to hide my heart beating loud. I’m really talkative. But do you Jongin? Do you hear my heart beats louder and faster like drumroll when I’m being with you? If not, I’m afraid you’ll try to listen to it now that I told you this. Argh, this is embarrassing.

But but, it’s not the reason why I wrote this note for you. But let me tell you the reason why I placed this note in your English notebook. English for E.

E for Envy
Hey Jongin, don’t be envious of the people I am talking with. -- and with this sentence, Jongin tells Kyungsoo that he’s too full of himself, thus, he continues reading. -- I know you are sending daggers when you hear my laughs and voice whenever I’m with someone. I know that I’m that loud. Just like now, I know that you are cursing us for being loud. And I’m allowing you to do that. But I won’t allow you to curse us because you’re envious of them.

You don’t have to envy them because they’re just my friends, especially for Xiumin and Lay because they’re my bestfriends in my class. You don’t have to envy them because I think they like each other. And I don’t like one of them (like as in attracted) You don’t have be jealous of them ‘kay?

E for Enemy
Jongin, I know that you’re cursing me now that you’ve read the upper part of this note. I’m too full of myself right? -- yes you are so full of yourself. Jongin rolls his eyes but smiles afterwards because this is just so Kyungsoo. His Kyungsoo. -- but the things I’ve said, it’s merely true, right? And don’t you ever deny it or I’ll hit you with the notebook I have, or better yet I will draw eggs on your face when you’re asleep in my room. :3 But hey, continue to read the last part because you’ll be E for Elated.

Don’t be jealous of Xiumin and Lay ‘kay? I don’t like them because you’re the one I like. -- and Jongin feels something in his stomach which makes him puke. And he blinks and feels his heart beats faster as he continues-- And I’m yours, right? I’m yours I’m yours I’m yours I’m yours!!! You better remember that. Now tell me, are you smiling? Hit me when you see me later ;)

Reading the last part, Jongin finds himself smirking, Is this what confession is supposed to be? He closes the note and can’t stop smirking until the homeroom class is dismissed. Oh fuck, Is Kyungsoo’s note so long? Or does Jongin read it again and again? Shit, he’ll fail in English test surely.

Kyungsoo doesn’t know why he sneaks when Jongin is reading his note. He feels nervous because he just confessed in that note, right? Or Jongin will play dumb as if he doesn’t get what Kyungsoo means in the first and last parts of the note. If he doesn’t, Kyungsoo guesses that he has to make another confession letter that Jongin will surely understand. But because it’d be the second time he’ll confess, let’s trick Jongin after.

Kyungsoo walks nervously to the school gates because he doesn’t know what to do now that he’s confessed to Jongin. Then someone calls him and his nervousness is changed to a smile when he says “Hwaiting!” for Kyungsoo and he gives Kyungsoo a candle. Kyungsoo smiles and feels relieved as he walks slowly to the school gates.

He greets Jongin who seems not in the mood at the school gates. Jongin walks him to the bus stop and he thinks if Jongin is listening to his heart beating loud. He looks at Jongin who seems to be ready to a fight.

Then he sees a bus and it’s time for him to go home now. He waves his hand to Jongin when Jongin starts hitting him on his arms, then Jongin shouts, “Now, you won’t ask me why I’m fucking feeling this way?” that startles Kyungsoo because he doesn’t know why the hell is Jongin so mad at him.

Jongin searches through his bag and shows Kyungsoo his failed English test. Kyungsoo looks at Jongin to ask him why. Then Jongin almost shouts at him, “I failed in this test because of your fucking note!!” and Jongin hits him with his bag which makes Kyungsoo sit on the ground. The driver shoves Jongin away because he just hurts his passenger. Jongin then shouts at the driver, “He fucking deserves to be hit!” and Jongin walks out and takes the bus opposite to Kyungsoo’s bus’ direction. He asks himself, Did I just do it right?

Then the bus driver tells Kyungsoo to stand up and asks him who Jongin is. Kyungsoo tells the driver not to mind Jongin. He is rubbing the skin which Jongin hit when the bus driver asks him, “Why do you deserve to be hit? Did you do something to him? Way to go boy.” The bus driver says and Kyungsoo pouts as he checks the part which Jongin hit. It is all red and it’s stinging.

It’s not Kyungsoo’s fault that Jongin failed in English test because he just told Jongin to read his note. Kyungsoo pouts because this is the first time Jongin becomes brutal to him and he doesn’t fucking know why.

“He fucking deserves to be hit!!” and Kyungsoo sees through it. His eyes get bigger and his rosy cheeks becomes redder and the small smile which tugs in his lips becomes into a heart-shaped one when he realizes, now tell me, are you smiling? Hit me when you see me later ;)

He can’t help but to smile while he stands up and tells the bus driver, “I really really fucking deserve to be hit.” And the driver just focuses his eyes on the road but he eventually hears Kyungsoo’s giggles and squeals in his bus.

Okay, fuck it. The bus driver is supposed not to be in the scene ahahaha but it’s fine with you guys, right? Now, tell me about your feels for this chapter okay? I’d really like to read them and I’ll try reply to all of you.

Oh my god. I can’t explain what I feel gulls. Ugh, let me update you to the story. This chapter has 4,008 words and with this chapter, we’re uhm, I think 20% to 30% of the story. Yes chingus, it’ll be long because I’m not yet introducing some important characters in the fic, ‘kay? But I’ve done the little introduction to Jongin’s life and will be done in the next five chapters I think, hahaha, but I don’t have any plans for that yet but we’ll get through it someday. Ahha.
