One True Love

I knocked on the door and Kai came to open the door.
"Why are you so late?" He said, as soon as he saw me.
"Sorry, I was with a friend." I said. He just pulled me in for a hug. "I was worried. You should have called. Why didn't you answer your calls?" He asked as he released me from the hug.
"When Sehun called this morning, manager got angry and took it away from me. He forgot to give it back." I explained. He let me in, and I could feel the atmosphere was tense. As soon as Sehun saw me, he ran to me and engulfed me in a tight hug, which I gladly returned.
"Why didn't you answer my calls? I was so worried!" He told me off. Before I could answer, I was attacked by hugs from Chanyeol, Baekhyun and Bryan.
"Noona!" Bryan called out. I smiled. I ruffled his hair. I just repeated what I said to Kai. They understood after 5 minutes of apologising from me. I woke up early the next day and called James.
"James! Can I ask a favour?" I asked him.
[What kind of favour requires for you to call me at 5?] He still sounded sleepy. I was guilty but not enough.
" Come with me somewhere after school."
[ Couldn't you have told me that at school?] He sounded annoyed now.
"Forgot. I'm too excited." I bounced on my bed.
He sighed from the other end of the phone. [ Roxy, get some sleep.] He said, and hung up. But I was too excited to get offended. I didn't feel sleepy, so I jumped in the shower, and got dressed, trying to be as quiet as possible not to wake anyone up. I went to the balcony and looked at the view when suddenly a voice spoke up from behind me. " Not sleepy?" I turned around to see Kai. I shook my head. " You?" I asked.
" Jessica doesn't let me sleep." He chuckled. I smiled. " Well you'll get used to it."
"Want coffee?" He asked.
"No thanks, I've had too much caffiene for the past few days. I would love a cup of tea though." I smiled and he nodded. He went and 5 minutes later, he came back with two cups. He passed one over to me. I thanked him and we sat in silence, drinking.
"Oh, I'll be late today as well." I told him, suddenly remembering that I was going over to En's house. He nodded. "Thanks for letting me know." He said.
It was quite awkward. "You make a good father." I told him. He smiled and said. " And I'm sure you'll make a wonderful mother." Then as if on cue, Jessica cried. I let out a soft giggle and Kai stood up. "I'd better bring her here." And so he did. We took in turns to hold her.
"By the way have you heard, Mr Lee Soo Man retired?" He asked, out of the blue.
"No! He was so nice!" I said and he agreed. We talked about random things until it was time for me to go.
"Anyway, I should be going. Bye." I gave Jessica a peck on the forehead and Kai smiled. I poked his forehead and waved. I took my car to the school and walked in the classroom in a good mood. Everyone came in and the day started. During lunch, I even invited En to sit with us. He refused at first, being the bad boy he is. Finally, he gave up and sat at the table with no food. "Not hungry?" I asked. He shook his head.
"Sure? You could ask him to buy you something." I said mentioning towards James. He shook his head but as if on cue-again, his stomach rumbled. I stood up to buy food for him. I also bought him a small cake. "Thanks" He said and started to take big bites. I gave a laugh and started eating my own food. It was a good atmosphere. James and En got along quite well.
"What's your korean name?" En asked out of the blue.
"Random question." I commented and he glared at me.
"It IS quite random. But my name is Im JaeBum." James said, sipping his drink.
"JB! Justin Bieber!" I teased James and he spit out his drink and started coughing. I patted his back while laughing because he'd just drenched En in strawberry smoothie. En just stood up and left. Me and JB ( Going to start calling him that and ignore the picture of James I gave earlier on) just stared at his back, trying to figure out what's wrong with him. We both stood up and walked after him but I stopped seeing that he was walking into the mens. James walked inside but shortly after he came out with a light cut at the corner of his lips. Then En came out with this glint in his eyes that I had never seen before. Probably because I haven't known him for a long time but whatever. He then held JaeBum by the collar and was about to hit him again when I let out a piercing scream. They both looked at me and I grabbed them both by their ties and pulled them until we reached the rooftop.
"What the hell Roxy?" JaeBum (James) moaned. "My tie is all messed up."
"Shut up JaeBum. You." I said, pointing at En. " Do you not understand a mistake? Why were you hitting him?"
"It's my f***ing school uniform. I don't have another one unlike you rich people. What the hell am I going to wear?" En burst his anger.
" Just say so. He's going to buy you a new school uniform." I say, pointing at JB. En just looked at me with an annoyed face. "I don't have the time to argue with you. I need to go and study now." He said and started walking towards the exit. I caught his wrist and turned him around. "I'm sorry about James, seriously. And I promise we'll buy you another uniform. It's our fault so technically we should buy it for you." I said before he could even think about walking away. " After school, wait outside the school gates." I said and before he could reply, I turned aroud and walked away, pulling James along with me.
After school, I was waiting outside the gates. People were staring at me but I didn't really care. I was used to being judged and hated upon. I blasted out music in my headphones and kicked pebbles. Suddenly a hand covered my mouth. I looked to my side to see JB laughing his head off at me and En looking at him as if he were mad. I took my head phones off and glared at JB. "It's not funny you know." I scolded him. He gave me a childish grin and held my hand. "Let's go!" He said childishly, and started to pull me along. I turned back to see En following us. Firstly we went to a uniform shop and bought En new clothes. Then we went to a bubble tea store. I saw Ray working there. "Hello there waiter." I teased him. He stuck his tongue out at me. " What do you want? My treat."
"Chocolate bubble tea please. Make that three." I said.
After we got our drinks, we went to a clothing store. En was insisting that he went home but I couldn't just let him go now otherwise my surprise birthday plan would be ruined. I was looking at clothes when I saw En looking at some clothes dreamily. I went over to him " You like it?" I asked him and he snapped out of his thoughts. "Huh?"
"They're pretty awesome." I said. "Go try them on." And before he could reply back again, I pushed the clothes towards him and pushed him inside a dressing room. When he came back, I couldn't believe my eyes. He looks so different. I thought to myself. "Killer look" JB commented from no where, and I totally agreed.
"Get them." I said. He looked at the price and his eyes widened. " It seems a bit bland don't you think?" He said and he went back to the changing room and 3 minutes later, he emerged in his normal clothes again. "Let's go." He said and left the store. We had no choice but to follow him.
I pulled JB near me so I could whisper to him. " Yah! You keep him busy for a while or so. It's his birthday today and-"
"Really?" He said out, really loud, causing En to look over at us and raise his eyebrows at us questioningly. I gave him a quick grin and smacked JB on the head. " Shut up." and he rubbed his head and muttered a sorry. " It's his birthday and I want to give him a surprise birthday party. It's just a little private something with his grandma and us two but i guess you could come along if you'd like." He nodded. "Anyway, my point is, keep him busy for about half an hour or so, I'll buy presents and all the necessary items. Wait for me in the bubble tea store" I told him and he gave me a quick smile and a wave and walked off towards En's direction. I went back to the shop we were in earlier on and bought En the clothes that he wanted. I also remembered that he didn't have a phone so I went to a phone store and bought him one. I went to a cake shop to buy him a cake. After I did all the shopping, I went to the bubble tea store, just like I said, and JB and En was waiting there- just like I planned. We went to En's house, thought En refused. I walked inside and greeted grandma. She waved at me and I waved back. "Hello, have you been well?" I asked her.
"Don't you worry about me, I'm fine. By the way, do you remember what I told you yesterday?" She asked.
En picked it up with his sharp hearing. " What did you tell her?" He asked curiously.
"It's a girls thing." I told him "Stay out of it."
He shrugged and stared at the T.V. "James, could you go to the company building and bring me my phone? You can ask manager Do for me. Take En with you. I want to talk privately to granny." I told JB and winked at him secretly. He understood and dragged (literally) En along with him. I took out my stuff and started setting everything up. Granny told me where to put things, and I did. After about 20 minutes, I heard a key going in to the locked door and with one click, it opened. When En entered the room, Me and Granny yelled out "Happy Birthday" in sync. He looked genuinely shocked and then tears. He actually cried. I went over and gave him a hug. " Thank you." He said between sobs. I smiled and softly stroked his hair. "Hey, it's allright. You should celebrate now." He blew the candles and cut the cake. Then granny wanted to go to the toilet. She said she would go by herself and wouldn't let us help her. "You have fun." She said, going out of the room. 5 minutes passed then 10 then 15. We started getting worried since she still hadn't returned. Finally, I went over to the bathroom and knocked on the door. " Nan, are you okay in there?" I asked. No reply. I panicked and screamed "En, JB! " and in the speed of light, both of them came running up the stairs. "She's not replying." I said, panicking. En knocked on the door and asked if she was okay but still no reply. The he slammed his body on the door with such force that the door broke open. Then we saw such a sight that I felt my soul was going to leave me. Gran was lying on the floor. She looked so pale and lifeless. I broke out in tears, JB called the ambulance meanwhile En just held his grandma like his life depended on it. Then I felt a pair of arms going around my body. I silently thanked JB and leaned against his bosy, and after what seemed like forever, I could hear the sirens in a distance.

I'm sorry! I know it's a very very very very very very very very late update. *does a formal bow*
Blame my school. It's school's fault. Anyway, finally and update. I'm sorry, there's not much of EXO in this chapter, but you know I felt like i should apologise because this is supposed to be an EXO fanfic and all... I'll focus on EXO now ^^ Along with everyone else :P
Anyway, I felt proud of the last bit ^^
