One True Love

~Kai's P.O.V~
I waited till Carla left Roxanne, then I went up to her.
"You know she's lying." I said as I approached her from behind. She jumped at the sudden sound. she then turned around to face me. " What?" She asked.
" She's lying. Her mom isn't dead. I've known her for about a year now and she has a mom. Trust me, she is just using you."
" Wait- you were listening to our conversation?" She asked
"Yes but that's not the point here Roxanne. Listen to me please. She's lying. Trust me. Huh?"
"No." She said. "What?" I asked.
"I said no. I trust her. Kai, when I gave up on you please understand it took a lot from me. I'm the type to give endless chances, always have your back even when you're wrong, and truly accept you for who you are. So when I gave up on you, understand that it took EVERYTHING I had left inside of me to leave you... because I loved you, and cared about you and there wasn't anything on the planet I wouldn't do for you. So to prove that I loved you, I left you for your own happiness. I just wanted someone who will stay in my life so I wouln't have to worry about another goodbye but no. And right now you're trying to take my happiness away by telling me that my friend is lying to me?" Roxanne fought back.
I reached out to hold her but she flinched away. " Kai, don't touch me. I don't belong to you anymore. I'm not your priority anymore. I'm not your girlfriend anymore."
My heart broke into a million pieces. I want you to become my girlfriend again. I want you to never give up on me again. It was my stupidity, I wasn't happy with her, I was happy with you. I'm happy that you decided to come back to my life. I wanted to say all these things to her but I couldn't because I'm such a coward.
~Sehun's P.O.V~
I woke up to see Kai's and Roxy noona's bed empty. I went out of the room and saw those two talking in the balcony. I crept up behind them trying to scare them but then they seemed like they were in a deep conversation so I decided to wait until they were finished but I couldn't help but over-hear their conversation.
"It's okay you're not mine anymore. I mean it hurts but I'm okay with it. I mean it hurts but I'm okay with it because I've accepted the fact that we're both better off without eachother. I still cry over you and I still think about you but it's okay, it takes time. But the one thing that hurts the most is that you gave up. On us, on me. You f***ing promised, you gave me false hope. You were my future and when you gave up, there was nothing left. I just felt like my whole world was crashing. And you know what? I'm glad I got into the car accident and lost my memories about you even if it was for only a little while because I'm not sure what would've happened if I kept thinking about you. I would probably live on streets and have absolutely no idea what I would be doing right now. And now that you're here, I'm so confused. I never expected for you to come back to my life. I really don't know what to do with you anymore Kai." Roxanne said.
My brain started processing that. Oh.... So Kai hyung and Roxanne noona used to date? And she got into a car accident? Well.. that sort of explains why Kai hyung was so tense around her. What the hell did Kai hyung do to her? Why is she this helpless? She's a strong woman. God damnit noona, get yourself together. As like that as if she read my mind telepathically, she gave a weak smile and said " I need to clear my head. I'm going for a walk. You should get some rest. " And just like that, like nothing happened, she walked away. Kai couldn't do anything to stop her. He's the type of person that will bottle everything up till the point he explodes. I went back to my room as quietly as possible to overhear Carla's conversation on the phone.
"She's coming, make sure you don't mess up this time you idiots. Yeah, okay. Yep. Meet you tomorrow. Yeah Good luck." She said on the phone.
"Don't mess up what?" I asked curiously.
" Ah- Sehun oppa. You scared me. "
" Don't mess up what?" I repeated my question.
"Oh, it's my grand mother's birthday and I told my friends to give her a surprise. Last time I asked them that favour, they messed up so I was just threatening them." She explained.
"Oh, well goodnight." i said as I climbed into my bed which had a sleeping D.O on it.
" Good night oppa." She said. I closed my eyes but not being able to sleep. Until I heard Kai get inside the room.
~Kai's P.O.V~
I just couldn't do anything. I wanted to hug her, make all her worries go away but it felt like my hands were frozen to place. She walked away and I felt helpless. I just walked into the room, completely defeated. I waited for sleep to come to me but it wouldn't. I just waited and thought. I think I spent about an hour waiting for Roxanne to walk back through the door but she didn't. I just gave up on sleep and started to go look for Roxanne. I looked around everywhere and I couldn't find her. I was about to give up and turn back around when I heard a scream that sounded like Roxanne. I turned around to see two boys running towards an alleyway. I followed them. They entered an abandoned warehouse. I walked inside with them and saw Roxanne all tied up in a chair. Okay, on three I go and save her. one, Two, Three. I walked up to one of the guys and punched him. I beat up both of them and walked towards Roxanne when two girls suddenly came out out of no where. " Not so fast Kai oppa." One of them said.
I ignored them and kept walking closer to Roxanne. Then she held up a knife next to Roxanne's throat. Roxanne's eyes widened in fear. I stopped dead in my tracks. " What do you want?" I said defeated. "I'll do anything, just don't hurt her."
"Oh really? Fine, date me." One of them said. What? I can't believe they would just give themselves to men like that.
" No, date me." The other one said. Then they started arguing. It was so heated that they didn't even see me sneak up around them towards Roxanne and set her free. I tugged on Roxanne's arm, she tried to pull away but I just tightened my grip. We ran out of the warehouse. We didn't know where we were going but we sure as hell didn't want to look back. Then I saw a small alleyway. I pulled her in there and waited. There was no one coming after us. Well that's good. I untied the ropes of her hands and then the cloth that covered her mouth. She looked up at me and I looked at her straight in the eyes. I looked down on her lips and back on her eyes again while biting my lips. She tilted her face towards me the slightest bit. And that was all I needed. I captured her lips with mine and put my arms on either side of her face not letting her escape. Then she broke the kiss. "Kai- we shouldn't be doing this. This is wrong. Let's forget this all happened okay?" And she walked away without waiting for my answer. I sighed. I just followed her and we tried to find our way back to the hotel. By the time we found the hotel, it was morning. We walked into the hotel to see everyone waiting for us. Uh-oh.
"Where were you two? We've been waiting here for over an hour!" Mr Lee exclaimed, obviously not happy.
We both bowed. "We're sorry sir, but something came up. We'll accecpt any punishment. We're sorry." Roxanne apologised. and i nodded my head.
" You'll do all the cooking and the washing up once we get to the camp, now pack up and meet us at the coach in 10 minutes." Mr Lee said clearly refusing to take our apology. I shook my head. Carla hugged Roxanne. " Oh my god, where have you been? I've been so worried." She said her voice full of fake worry. "I was kidnapped and saved by Kai." She said.
"You're so lucky, I wish I could be saved by Kai." Carla said. I shook my head again and went to pack my things up.
