One True Love

~ Your / Roxanne's P.O.V~
I opened my eyes and saw James and Harmonie on either side of my bed looking at me. When I opened my eyes and their eyes lit up. I gave them small smile. My head was still hurting but i ignored it.
" How are you feeling?" James asked me softly.
" I'll live." I replied back. My voice sounded so bad. " Can I have some water please?" I requested.
" Sure." He smiled. Then suddenly Harmonie said " I'll get it" and she left the room. I looked around the room. Then suddenly I saw Kai outside the window. I smiled at him and he smiled at me back. I miss him. No! Did I really think that?! No Roxanne, what's wrong with you? Don't fall for his charms! He broke your heart remember? I suddenly closed my eyes ignoring the pain in my chest. Then I heard the door open. I opened my eyes hoping it would be Harmonie with my water but it was Kai.
" How are you feeling?" He asked me touching my forehead to check the temperature. I turned my face the other way so he wouldn't be touching me anymore. He dropped his hand and sat in a chair next to the bed.
" I'm fine." I told him closing my eyes. Damn, I miss him too much. Heart, listen to me! Stop beating this fast.
" Isn't it your mom's birthday tomorrow?" He asked out of no where.
Boom. Those six words sent me into depression. I know that he doesn't know anything about it so I decided not to tell him.
" Yes, it is." I gave him a small smile.
" Can I come with you to visit her tomorrow? I brought a present for her. She likes drawing right?" he asked me.
I felt a tear roll down my cheeks as Kai kept talking about my mom. Kai stopped and looked at me. " Wae? What did I do wrong now?"
" Nothing. Please I need to be alone. Get some rest Kai. Good Night." I closed my eyes and felt the air tense around me. Then I heard the door close. "Is he gone?" I asked James.
" Yeah. Why did you send him away anyway? He was just trying to be nice." James said. " Just shut up and sing for me. Please. A thousand Years. Please. " I requested him without opening my eyes. It was quiet for a few moments and I thought he wasn't gonna sing when suddenly I heard the guitar. Then he started singing. [ A/N : CLICK HERE! ]
Tears rolled down my face and James hugged me tightly. Just then Harmonie came in with my water. I opened my eyes and saw her face. It was full of surprise and sadness. " Harry, it's nothing like that. " I tried to explain to her but she put my water on the table and just left the room. Obviously James doesn't know what's going on. He looked at me questioningly. I shook my head and told him to go after her. Great, just what I need.
~ Kai's P.O.V~
What did I say wrong? I was just trying to be nice. I'm just trying to make up for what I did to her before but.... Aish. What happened? This is really annoying. I kept trying to work out what I did wrong while I walked back to the dorm. I knocked on the door and Baekhyun came to open the door. " How is she?" He asked once he saw my face. Hello to you too Baekkie. " She's fine. She's awake now atleast." I told him. His face realxed a bit. " Get some rest hyung. We've got school tomorrow. " I said. He smiled a little and nodded. Everyone was in their bedrroms. I sat down in the couch and thought and thought and thought. I don't know how long I've been thinking for but I heard the door open. I turned around to see Roxanne. What is she doing here? " What are you doing here?" I demanded her.
" I got discharged." She replied back.
" What's the time?" I asked her.
" I don't know around 6 I think." She said. " We've got an hour before we have to go to school. Get some rest Kai. You've got dark circles."
I nodded. Wow. I stayed up all night thinking. " Hey.... Rox?"
" Yeah?"
" Erm.... about before.."
I felt her tense. " Yeah?"
" What did I say that was so wrong? I mean I was trying to be friendly." I looked at her. She avoided my gaze and played with her fingers. Then she took a deep breath. " Do you really want to know? " She asked
" Yes. I want to know what I did wrong." I begged her ( not literally)
" Fine, I'll tell you. You know the day me and Kris left at Sehun and Luhan oppa's birthday party? "
" Yes I remember."
" Well that day, my parents and my brother got into a car accident." She said. My eyes widened and my heart was beating really fast. I know she doesn't like talking about these things but my mouth just wouldn't move.
" My brother was fine but my dad got into a coma after that but he woke up, that was why I came in at late last time. The day I sold my car. I sold it so that I could send my dad and my brother to America. I wanted my dad to get better treatment and my brother, well I didn't want him to struggle. So he's currently living with my aunt and my uncle in California. He hasn't even called yet. Bad boy. I worry about him all the time. And well my mom....." She suddenly paused. But I knew what she was going to say. I now feel like an absolute jerk for asking me to tell her. I didn't know she had been through this much. I don't know why but I suddenly just hugged her. She froze and she tensed up.
"Let it all out." I whispered in her ears. And then with those four words, she wept like a child.
~ Baekhyun's P.O.V~
I woke up 6 : 13 in the morning to go to the toilet. I walked towards the toilet but I saw someone in the living room. Kai? What? Is he still awake? I was about to go talk to him but then I heard the door open and Roxanne walked in. Why is she here?
But then as if Kai read my my mind, He asked " What are you doing here?"
She said " I got discharged" Really? but she needs to rest though. I was about to talk but then Kai said something and it looked important so I stayed quiet. Then I heard her story about how her parents got into an accident and the reason why she wanted to sell her car. I felt my eyes getting teary as I heard story. Then Kai hugged her and said " Let it all out" and she wept. My heart felt like it was being broken in a million pieces. Why does it hurt so much? I felt my own tears going down my cheeks. I just sat down on the floor and closed my eyes.
~ Roxanne / Your P.O.V~
Kai let go of the hug and wiped my tears away. " How are you feeling?" He asked me.
" It's hard to explain." I said.
" Then put it into a song." He whispered. He knows me too well.
I grabbed my guitar and started singing Payphone by Maroon 5. (This is a beautiful song about being stuck when they were in love. It's between lovers but think of it as mother and daughter . Click here. )
I closed my eyes through out the song. I know he couldn't understand me because I was singing in English. I guess my singing woke everyone up so by the time I finished the song and opened my eyes, everyone was in the living room. Everyone clapped but Kris just came straight to me and gave me a really tight hug. And then I cried. All over again. The members were concerned but I told them it was nothing. " What's wrong? Why are you singing sad songs Rox?" Kris asked me ( in English)
" It's m mom's birthday today. " I sniffed.
" Sh*t. Sorry." I laughed because he swore.
Why does he always have to be the one that makes her laugh and not me? From now on I'll start learning English - Baekhyun's thoughts.
" Guys, we have to get ready to go to school. I think Roxanne should take a day off from school today just to be sure you're completely recovered. " Suho told everyone. Everyone nodded. " I'll stay with her!" Baekhyun said. Everyone glared at him. I smiled. " It's fine, thank you for the concern Suho oppa but I'll go to school. " I declared
Then Baekhyun started running towards the bathroom. The Chanyeol ran after him. Then everyone started running towards the bathroom and everything went back to normal again. I laughed at their silliness.
I went to me, Baek's and Chanyeol's bedroom and realized they had a toilet there. Why did everyone use the one downstairs if there is one here as well? I brushed my teeth and got dressed.

I went downstairs and saw Kai waiting his turn to go in the bathroom.
" Is it always like this? " I asked him.
" Yes. But you'll get used to it." He grinned at me. Then my stomach rumbled. " Eat something." Kai said. " Okay, I'll make breakfast. " I said and went to the kitchen. I heard Kai shout: Hey Chen! Don't you dare go in there! It's my turn! Yah!
I giggled andstarted taking the pans out. Then D.O. came in the kitchen. " Hey" we both said at the same time. I laughed and he joined in. " Need any help making breakfast?" I asked him.
" I'm fine." He said. " But do you mind making everyone tea? Oh Sehun and Kris like warm milk and Kai likes cold milk. Make tea for me, Suho, Chanyeol and Baekhyun. Lay just drinks plain water. Luhan drinks apple juice and Tao drinks orange juice. And finally coffee for Jongdae and Minsoek-- I mean Chen and Xiumin. " He told me while he was mixing the ingredients to make pancakes.
I blinked. Then he looked at me and copied my look. Then we started a stare off. I was the first one to blink. " My eyes! " I cried while rubbing them. " Damn Kyungsoo oppa, do you even blink?"
" I do blink. Just a lot slower than normal people." He replied while mixing the batter.
" Maybe like Baekhyun said in EXO's Showtime, you should go to an eye doctor." I gigled while taking out the milk from the fridge.
He narrowed his eyes. " Are you mocking me?"
" Of course not." I giggled.
" Hm, I don't believe you."
" I'm being seri---" I stopped talking when something hit my face. I touched my face and saw that it was flour. " Oh, you're on. "
I grabbed flour and threw some at D.O's face. Then it went on and on until Suho came in the kitchen. Since he was standing me, D.O threw the flour. I ducked and it landed on Suho's face. We froze and looked at him. Then me and D.O laughed our heads off. Then all the members came in the kitchen looked at what we were laughing at. Me and D.O. were literally on the floor. Then out of the corner of my eyes, I saw Suho grab something. " D.O. RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!" I screamed and we both ran around the whole appartment. Somehow Suho got all of them on his side and basically it was Me and D.O. against the rest of them. " That's unfair! Two against 11! " I screamed trying to dodge Kris and Suho. Then someone grabbed me and pulled me into a bedroom. " I'm on your side." He said.
