The Favor

Lunch time seemed to be extended to me as some of the classes' first period teachers in the afternoon seem to be unavailable, which gave Hyesun more time to gain extra cash through the match making process she's been making. On her cute purple clipboard were all the contracts that each customer signed proving that they were doing this at their own risk to get hurt emotionally, since there was no way she was giving a refund.
Some were desperate, some had nothing much to do and out of boredom decided to sign up for a match making date, and some, well, let's say dared. If it wasn't worth it for them, it was worth it for the smiling girl who hands them out papers to fill up just to get their perfect match. But all of them would surely give her a thumbs up. Most of the couples in their school were mostly matched by her and they would usually last for more than a year. They wouldn't be the only ones happy with the match up results, but also Hyesun, who's reputation is still clean towards customers although this business almost got her expelled the past year.
"Hyesun!" Yoohyun waved her hands at her with excitement as she sat down on the provided seat in front of the table.
"Any good news?" She asked as she rested her elbows on the table, with her chin resting on the palm of her hands as she acted cute towards her best friend. Her aura was brimming with happiness.
"Uhm. I don't know what he likes, but I'll be finding out soon," Hyesun said as she poked her pen on her cheeks.
"Soon? You're going to talk to him?" Her friend's eyes seem to be bulging out in suspense.
"Maybe, maybe not." She hummed teasingly as she continued to poke her pen on her cheeks.
"Hyesun you sneaky fox!" Yoohyun almost yelled as she playfully grabbed Hyesun's pen.
"How? How? How?!" She would almost squeal if not for the class to their right who was having a class.
"I have connections."
"You're really amazing! Gaaaah! The next thing I'd find out we'd be dating," she stated as her eyes sparkled. She was in her imaginary world envisioning she and Youngmin chasing each other on the beach.
"Yeah~ I know, you could praise me later," Hyesun said with a wink.
"Now can you help me clean up this booth." She stood up.
"That would be no problem." Yoohyun entered their classroom which was just in front of where the booth was, and called out to some of her admirers to help out her best friend, and as expected they obeyed. The booth was gone in no time and with fifteen minutes to spare. The teachers woudn't find out that Hyesun was still with her match making antics.
Class 5-B was noisy, as usual, and they really don't mind. So what if they were noisy? Other classes do it too.
Everyone was in the room although they'd be scattered in every corner of the room. The popular clique composed of Mooyi, Sohee, and Yejoo were chatting loudly, gossiping as they sit in a sophisticated manner on the teacher's table. The boys were too focused on their laptops playing Attack on Titan, Command and Conquer, League of Legends, and other games they have installed. Other boys continue to cause trouble as they throw pieces of a broken rubics cube at each other. The girls, were casually doodling, some focused on their homework, and the rest maybe asleep or probably dead by now, but no one bothers to wake them up.
Hyesun grabbed her phone and dialed Kwangmin's number.
"Kwangmin!" She called him, excited to get things done for her best friend.
"Yes, girl who doesn't bother putting respect or at least call me oppa," the other line answered and with that Hyesun wanted to strangle him. Duh, she wouldn't bother acknowledging seniors as seniors or someone older than her. She doesn't like putting in too much effort for something as simple as a name. She just wanted things easier, or quicker, although life for her has really been rough.
"How can I talk to Youngmin?"
"Why don't we walk you home later, we pass by your street all the time."
Hyesun had it on loud speaker for Yoohyun to hear.
"Oh! Oh! Can I join, too?!" Yoohyun asked with her high pitched voice.
"I suggest don't. You might embarrass yourself again," Kwangmin said bluntly. He wasn't one of Yoohyun's admirers, and probably will never like her for some reason, but hey, he was doing a favor for Hyesun who was also doing a favor in return. So why not. They're both quits.
Yoohyun pouted as Hyesun decided to turn the speaker off and talked to Kwangmin privately.
"Okay. Sounds good."
"And I'll take Yeonhee so you two could talk," he added as smiled cheekily on the other-line with the other members of his group almost teasing him for talking to girls. Calling him a player or a chick magnet, but either way, they know that Kwangmin would never turn his back on Yeonhee.
"I'd bring Youngmin hyung along, you and my pretty Yeonhee just wait there." He instructed before he finally hung up.
Hyesun shook her best friend lightly.
"Don't worry, I promise it'll turn out great and you'd get your Youngmin soon, sweetie," she said brightly as Yoohyun faced her.
"After that, it wouldn't mean anything right? Promise me that Hyehye." She looked like a child asking for a pinky promise, but her best friend liked it about her. She handed out her hand with her pinky raised as it hooked with Yoohyun's.
"I promise!"

Their second period teacher arrived and things went out boring. Well, it was Literature class, and most of them were bored out, except for the very studious ones like Wonwoo and Junhui, along with Yoohyun who brightly listened. The class went on like that as four more subject teachers entered the classroom.
-
Rrrrrrring~
The school bell rang at around five in the afternoon, dismissing the two batches of seniors. As Hyesun was fixing her things, organizing her notebooks and such, Yoohyun head out earlier because of Kwangmin's disapprovement of her joining, and along with her parents' plans to attend a classy dinner in a country club with investors.
"Hyesun! Yeonhee!" Kwangmin called from outside their classroom, while Youngmin was outside, leaning by the door. He wasn't close to any of the girls, and he wouldn't bother.
Yeonhee looked at Kwangmin and greeted him happily. "Hi Kwangmin oppa!"
"Why don't you date each other already," Hyesun murmured as she rolled her eyes playfully.
"Hyesun! You're so slow!" Kwangmin mocked.
"Yeah yeah~ Go ahead," she replied as she got her backpack on. She followed them with her cousin and the flirty Kwangmin in front and behind them was the loner Youngmin.
She kept her distance slightly, as the four of them walked together.
It was as if they were forming a number seven, and it was really awkward for Hyesun's part who have couldn't get pass Youngmin's seemingly unapproachable aura. She was really close to boys, but she seemed to be distancing herself from him. It was as if his aura was driving her away from him. The two at front were laughing with all smiles, like a happy couple and such. While them at the back were awkward strangers, with one of them spying on the other.
"Are you that awkward with other guys?" Youngmin finally spoke up as he glanced at Hyesun then turned his direction to the sidewalk.
"Uh... Uhm... Not really," Hyesun answered as she looked at him.
"Then why do you seem so awkward with me?"
"I- Erm. Your aura," she answered, but it was as if her throat was dry, but it really wasn't. She just couldn't talk that well around him. His aura was intriguing.
"You think I bite?"
"Well... Not really."
"Yeonhee, let's go watch the sunset by the Han River," Kwangmin suggested as the two of them walked towards another direction, leaving the two of them still awkward, walking side-by-side with almost a meter of a distance.
"Uhm, you could go ahead if you want to. I... I have somewhere to go to,"
The sky darkened, and maybe it was a wrong timing for Yeonhee and Kwangmin to go watch the sunset. It was about to pour as a few raindrops fell and temporarily stained the ground.
"You're just using that as an excuse," Youngmin said as he took his jacket off and put it over Hyesun.
"Do you really think you're always right?" Hyesun asked, a bit tempered because she couldn't leave the situation.
"Look, I honestly have problems with awkward people, and it'll be better to settle it."
"Well, look, this is how I am." She said as she took Youngmin's jacket off.
"And my twin might lose his chances on your cousin because of this, so yeah, keep it," he replied as he pressed his jacket down on her, closing their distance.
"Now. Let me walk you home," he said as he continued to cover her carefully.
They were like that until they reached Hyesun's street, and she insisted on walking alone, since she was slightly embarrassed with the house they live in. It wasn't like theirs or any of their schoolmates since it was a private school, for rich people, and she was there because of a scholarship and after that she was supported by Yoohyun's family.
She handed him his jacket which covered her all the way home, but he insisted that she keep it.
"See you tomorrow, Hyesun," he bid her goodbye as he walked along.
