YUE

Changmin and Yue

“She is more beautiful than the flowers after a spring shower.” Prince Yunho whispered, his glass of Lyora wine close to his lips. Changmin and Junsu could only nod their heads in agreement for Princess Yue was more charming than all the other princesses in the Gala. “Not that Junsu is paying much attention to her with her brother besides her.” Changmin snickered once he noticed how his friend’s eyes followed Prince Yoochun. Both the royal siblings from the kingdom of Shuye wore stunning attire of the most preeminent red. Red that attracted the eyes of Yue’s potential suitors and red that brought the eyes of potential future queens of Shuye. Red had just happened to be Junsu’s favorite color and it was no secret amongst the trio of friends that the young politician’s favorite Prince was Prince Yoochun.

Changmin hated attending the young royal gala. He found it to merely found it to be an event that was set up the kingdoms long ago in attempt to marry off their young available bachelors and bachelorettes. Within two hours into the event, Changmin had been forced and pushed into dancing with plenty of young princesses that his parents had found suitable for him but none of them had caught his eyes like Yue. She carried herself with such grace and elegance that could not be compared to the other women around her and when her eyes had caught Changmin’s, well the young prince knew he was done for and that she was to be his wife. Never had seen such intelligence and a soul so wise in any woman he has ever met or encountered but with that came the mystery of what she was thinking during that specific moment, Changmin wanted to know. He had to know.

The next dance segment, Changmin made his way to Yue and bowed before her and her brother. “Prince Yoochun, thought you might have changed your mind this year about joining us.” Though his words were towards Yoochun, Changmin’s eyes were on Yue who stared right back at him without the slightest blink. “Save the talk Prince Changmin. You came to ask me if you can dance with my precious Yue, correct?” Yoochun was not that older than Changmin and could easily see the attraction between his baby sister and the tall handsome prince. He smirked and brought his glass of champagne to his lips with a slight chuckle.

“Ah, Yes. Yes I did.” Changmin ended the heated gaze and turned his full attention towards Yoochun. “Brother please do not tease.” Yue smiled small towards her brother before extending her hand to Changmin. “I would love to dance with you Prince Changmin.” She bowed slightly and seemed to have worn the same small smirk her brother displayed only seconds ago. Changmin felt his breathing had stopped and his heart had paused as he took Yue’s small soft hand into his. Her voice was not small and annoying but soft and smooth like silk. As Changmin lead the way to center of the ballroom where the dance would take place, he tried to regulate his breathing. Yue made him nervous and while most men tended to stay away from what made them nervous, Changmin welcomed the feeling and worked at it until it became a strength rather than a weakness.

Yue did not break eye contact with Changmin as they moved to the traditional music. One pair of hands clasped with fingers interlocked stayed raised to the height of their shoulders as one hand of Yue rested on Changmin’s shoulder and Changmin’s free hand rested a bit above her waist. “Breathe Prince for I am not as amazing you think.” Yue blushed for she was woman after all and Prince Changmin was handsome. He was tall and his features were prominent. Princesses from all over the country have gossiped about his eyes and his lips, their favorite topic of course was the young prince’s body. Thinking about all she have heard is what made Yue blush, remembering how Changmin stared at her is what made her blush. Changmin only grinned and licked over his lips slightly. “And just how much do you think I think of you Princess?” He asked softly. “It is not question of how much but what you think of me.” Yue answered. Changmin’s grin had turned into a full blown smile as he laughed, Yue smiling as she got to hear for herself his laughter. She was sure she was going to be the one to marry Changmin, very sure.
