IT’S THE MOMENT
“So, I’ll announce the winner…” Baekhyun said
“WAIT!” Someone shout and catch all the people’s attention.
“I bid 50,000 dollars for number 7!” the man continued. Me and Chanyeol look at each other.
“Obviously, we have our winner for the year’s Stolen Photo Exhibit. Number 7! You’ll receive 5,000 dollars each and of course the prize.” Baekhyun announced.
The crowd applause for us and it’s really overwhelming. In happiness, I unknowingly hug Chanyeol though he’s too tall for me. The crowd applauses even more. I know that Chanyeol is also surprised on what I did but I feel his arms slowly wrap my waist. Just then when I realize what I did, I broke off from the hug and smiled at him as a sign of ‘sorry.’ He give me a smile and he put his arm around my shoulder then the school media took a photo of us.
“Congratulations number 7. Mr. Park Chanyeol, the photographer and his unknown model, Ms. Son Yumae. Let me announce the prize for this event.” Baekhyun said. The crowd become quite again, as if everyone is listening. Baekhyun get something inside a box beside him.
“Here’s a ticket for two to Hong Kong Disneyland! This is an exclusive VIP ticket for our winners. Please use this ticket before the end of the month. You should also submit your photos in Disneyland to the Arts Club for a proof and verification. If you’ll not submit, you’ll not have the certificate title as well as your grade for the arts club.” Baekhyun excitedly announced.
I drop my jaw in that announcement. Everyone cheers. Well, I guess I’ll be in so much trouble again. Baekhyun give the ticket to me. I want to visit Disneyland—I really do, now that I have the opportunity but not in a way that I expect it to be.
After congratulating us, I decide to look for Kai because he’s gone after the announcing of winners. I searched everywhere inside the art gallery but I can’t find him—no signs of him. Where could he be?
“Yumae, thank you. I’ll not be here without you and your help.” Chanyeol said. His face is like a child being rewarded by his favorite toy.
“No, it’s you whose a great photographer. I’m just an instrument.”
“Yeah. But without your fascinating face, I can’t win here tonight. We can’t win this far.” What? Fascinating face? I can feel my cheeks are burning.
“Oh, and did you notice Kai? I didn’t see him after the announcing of winners.” I said, trying to change the topic. I feel it so awkward when the topic is all about me—myself.
“No. I didn’t see him too.”
“Maybe I should go to my dorm, Chanyeol. Thank you and take care.” I wave at him.
“Okay, see you soon!” and he wave back.
I am walking near the physical ground when I see a familiar man, sitting in one of the swings. Kyung Soo? It’s late… what are you doing there?

I knew it—that Yumae and Chanyeol will win in the exhibit. I never saw such model like Yumae despite that it is a stolen shot. I can’t take her image out of my mind until I see the swing where we always used to be before—yes, before. Because she’s gone…

“Congratulations.” I said, changing the topic.
“Thank you. I didn’t expect it…” it’s like I can’t hear anything. I can still remember her. The same setting, place, time. She’s like her—they’re so alike, until I unknowingly made a move. I hug Yumae. The last feeling I felt that night before she left. It’s all coming back to me. It’s like the time had stopped.
‘I’m sorry.” That’s all I said to Yumae then run away—that’s all I can do, runaway.
YUMAE’S POINT OF VIEW:
“I can’t sleep.” Kyung Soo said. I approached him.
“Oh, I see.”
“Congratulations.” He said. Oh, he knew?
“Thank you. I didn’t expect it. You know what, the crowd applause for us too much. I am so overwhelmed! I even hugged Chanyeol in happiness—” I didn’t finish my story because Kyung Soo hug me, tightly. The world had stopped between us. I don’t know what to react. Kyung Soo what are you doing? I want to ask but I can’t even open my mouth. He quietly broke off from the hug.
“I’m sorry.” He said and runaway. He run away from me? I’m frozen there, looking at running Kyung Soo slowly fading out of my sight.
I reach my door 407, I see a box and a note:
“Sorry I left early. Congratulations. You’re so pretty. Goodnight and Sweet dreams. XOXO.”

I enter my room and open the box. WOW! It’s a bracelet with my name on it and a letter ‘K’ at the lock. It’s so cute! I quickly wear it and text Kai.

Ow. I was wrong typed! It should be a smiling face and not a kissing face! Yumae, what have you done again?
KAI’S POINT OF VIEW:
After Baekhyun announced the winner, I quickly went to the store and buy the personalized bracelet. I made a note. As I am walking back to the art gallery, I see Kyung Soo hugging Yumae in the swing. I step back in surprise. I run and go straightly to Yumae’s dorm. Instead of giving it to her personally, I guess I should give it to her this way. Kyung Soo and Yumae is getting closer to each other. There’s a part inside of me feels a sudden pain. I leave the box in front of her door for her to see it easily. I am nervous on what would be her reaction especially to my note with ‘XOXO.’

SHOCKED. What? Kissing face? Meaning she knew XOXO too?
A smile quickly draw out of my lips and write a reply.

Welcome. XOXO.
No response. Maybe she’s already sleeping.

The next day, I only have one class today—creative writing. Hmm, I check my phone I received one message.

My eye brows frown a little. What is XOXO? Never mind, I take a bath and get dressed up. When I open the door, Baekhyun is already outside of my room.
“Hi Yumae!” he greets me cheerfully, wearing a gray shirt with ‘Please’ word.
“Hi! What brings you here?” I asked as I lock my door outside.
“Uhm, I just want to ask you something…” he said. I’m curious. He has my number and yet he didn’t text me regarding of what he wants to ask. He went all the way in my place just to ask me. What would it be? Is it about the exhibit? Hmm… it must be something important.
“Oh, it’s seems so important. What is it?” I asked as we reach the last step of the stairs.
“Uhm…” I’m still waiting for what he’ll going to ask.
“Uhm… can you, can you—”
“Can I… what?” he looks nervous. He’s looking in his shoes. He face to me and hold my shoulders.
“Can you go with me this weekend?” he asked then he slowly slide his arms from my shoulders down to my hands and hold it.
“Please?” he said, doing some cuteness stuff with his eyes.
“Please Yumae, please?” he said, showing off his shirt with ‘please’ word on it. A weekend with him? Where?
“Uhmm, where are we going?” I asked.
“To our house!” he cheerfully answered. To his house? What if Kris Wu is there? They’re brothers right? Should I come or not? I don’t want to be a bad girl. I take a deep breath…
“Of course!” I replied. That’s right Yumae. You should not be affected by that Kris’ presence.
“Oh really?” Baekhyun asked.
“Yeah.”

“Yes. I mean it. So don’t let me change my mind.” I joked.
“Yes! Thank you very much Yumae! Thank you so much!” he said while jumping like a child, still holding both of my hands. I laugh as he expresses his happiness.
“Okay, I’ll pick you up at 6 pm okay?” he said.

“Thanks again Yumae.” He kisses my left hand then run away. I’m frozen again there. I can’t move my feet. Last night Kyung Soo make me froze and now Baekhyun? Then they’ll run away by themselves? Aiisshh….
KYUNG SOO’S POINT OF VIEW:
I woke up. Still, I can’t believe what I did last night. I hope our friendship will not be broken because of that. I try my best to have the best mood for today, I’m going to ask Yumae to come with me for the weekend and also I will apologize to her.
I’m walking to the elevator but it’s out of order. I guess the maintenance team starts repairing the elevators. I don’t have any choice but to take the stairs all the way to reach the ground floor.
As I am walking down the stairs, I hear some echoes of voice talking and before I could reach the ground floor, there stood Yumae and Baekhyun. Baekhyun was holding Yumae’s shoulders then slowly, he slide down his hands to reach Yumae’s hands and hold it. My eyebrows furrows as I’m watching his next move.
“Can you go with me this weekend?” he finally asked.
FROZEN. I’m just a second late and yet Baekhyun already asked her about the weekend. I’m just about to ask her but I’m too late. Why am I too late?
“Of course!” Yumae replied.
That’s it. It’s over. She already accepted it. I sigh. Better luck next time Kyung Soo…
YUMAE’S POINT OF VIEW:
“Kyung Soo! What are you doing there?” I hear a familiar voice. I look and I see Kyung Soo standing at the stairs while Kai approach him and pat his shoulder.
“Huh?” Kyungsoo said. Looks like he’s caught flat footed.
“Hey guys!” I approach them.
“Let’s eat!” Kai said.
We decided to eat at the cafeteria. Kyungsoo is not even speaking, he seems weird today. While Kai on the other hand is so upbeat. Me? I am in a current stage of being confused. Yeah, I’m confused.
At this moment, we’re eating. I can feel that there’s a wall between me and Kyung Soo. I wanted to ask him about what’s that hug is for, but I don’t know how to start.
“I’m sorry but I have to go.” I lift up my head. Kyung Soo is now leaving.
“Why? We just get started?” Kai said.
“I’m sorry. I have an emergency meeting. Mr. President texted me.” He answered.

“School-dorm-appointment. That’s he’s routine since—” I waited for his next word but there’s nothing came out.
“Since—?” I asked. But instead of answering my question, he just smile and said:
“Let’s not discuss the past. Anyway,” he lean forward, his elbows on his knees.
‘Did you wear the bracelet?” he asked, changing the topic. I lifted my right arm and showed it to him.
“Of course and I really liked it.” I said.
“Good.” Then he smiles.
“Uhmm.. Kai?”
“Hmm?”
“What is… XOXO?” I curiously asked.
KAI’S POINT OF VIEW:
“What is… XOXO?” She asked.
FROZEN. I thought she knew that. She even sent me a kissing face last night. I just smile.
“It’s nothing. Just a goodbye thing usually a friend do.” FRIENDS. You’re a liar Kai. I don’t want it to be friends.
“Oww…” she said while nodding.
“I’m sorry about last night.” She utters. Hmm? What should she be sorry about?
