The way which the wind blows
Chapter 35
Your POV
It’s been a month since Sehun went away to become an idol. Exo had debuted with great success; everyone loves them. I see Sehun on the internet, and I miss him so much. He stopped calling me every night. He became too busy because they were debuting. I don’t mind that much, because I understand how hard he has to work, but I feel so lonely without Sehun. I miss his voice, his touch, his presence, I miss everything about him.
Now that exams are over, and the need for all nighters are gone, I have fallen sick with a cold. Just the usual cold; sore throat, congested nose, stinging eyes, weak limbs and a headache. I persuade my mum to let me stay at home instead of going to school. I stay in bed and hug the blanket tightly to my body. I’m comfortable until my phone chimes and I have to crawl over to y desk to grab it. Luhan texted me. ‘Hello (Y/N)! What are you doing afterschool today? Our exams are finished and I have a day off today so why don’t we hang out?’ I squint at the brightness on my phone and groan. The light pierces through me painfully, but I manage to text Luhan back. ‘I’m actually sick today so I might not be able to go out, sorry. Does Sehun have a day off today too?’ I set my phone down next to me and close my eyes. But after a while, I don’t get a response from him. I hear knocking at my door. What? Who would be knocking at my door at this time? I ignore the knocking until my phone chimes. ‘Open the door for me!’ Luhan texts. I jump out of bed ad quickly open the front door. “What are you doing here?” I ask. The spring air rushes into my house and makes me shiver. “It’s so cold outside.” I say as I close the door behind him. “It’s not cold. You must be pretty sick.” He laughs. “I’m here to take care of a sick friend.” He says with a cute smile. I instantly blush. What’s with this reaction? It can’t be helped, I’m ill and my mind is scattered. “You shouldn’t be here.” I say while coughing. Wow that’s rude. “I might get you sick as well.” “No, it’s OK. I have a strong immune system.” He grins. “I bought different flavoured porridges for you.” He continues with the smile still on his face. His smile is so bright and warm and he makes me feel comfortable. “Thank you.” I say smiling back. I make my way back into my room and snuggle back under the blanket. “So does Sehun have a day off too?” I ask. “No. At the moment we’re filming a show called ‘Exo Showtime’ and they’re not filming Exo-M today. Nice room.” He grins and jumps onto my bed. We talk about our lives and what has happened since he left school. “Being an idol sounds fun yet tiring.” I say. “Yeah it is. Do you want to eat some porridge? I have…apple flavor, honey, cinnamon and wild berries.” He says. “Honey please.” I say. Once he leaves I roll onto my side and close my eyes.
I blink the light from my eyes. Ugh, what time is it? I check the time on my phone; 3:10pm. I see Luhan and almost fall out of bed. “Wah! You’re still here?” I say surprised. “I cooked you porridge and you fell asleep.” He pouts. “Rude.” “When are you going to go home?” I ask him. “Soon I guess. I have to get back to the dorms.” He replies. He mumbles something that sounds like “I like you.” “Pardon?” I say. “Uh…I like your ears.” He says while blushing. I cover my ears with my hands. “My ears…?” I say, conscious of my ears. “Um. I think I’ll go now.” He stammers. He stands up to leave. “Get heaps of sleep rest and if you ever need my just text me, OK?” he smiles and closes the door to my room. I eyelids fall heavy again. Oh no. Am I going to fall asleep again? Before my eyes shut, my phone chimes. ‘Get well soon!’ texts Luhan. I smile, and fall asleep.
