My habitual reaction to the black van was to panic. But there was no time. The doors to the van swung open and three men dressed in black leaped out. They had horrifying hockey masks to conceal their identity. Two of the men grabbed onto Hyuk and punched him in the gut, Hyuk hunched over in pain and the men threw him into the van. I attempted to scream, but the third man put his hand over my mouth and tried to drag me into the van. I new it was going to be disgusting, but I poked my tongue out of my mouth and licked his fingers. I wanted to vomit. The man shouted “Gross!”, he removed him hand from my mouth to wipe his hands on his pants. I screamed for help. I screamed at the top of my lungs but he dumped me onto the floor of the van, he stepped in and shut the door behind him. I fell back as the van started moving. Oh no. We were finally captured by these mad men. “What do you want?” I asked meekly. “You’ll know when the boss sees you.” One man answered. The back of the van had no chairs, so we all sat of the cold floor and swayed with the motion of the van. I was afraid. My whole body trembled and no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t calm down. I felt Hyuk’s finger slip in between mine. “It’s OK. I’ll get you out of this.” He whispered. The van stopped abruptly and I tumbled forward. I intersected with one of the men and he fell backwards. He groaned. “Are you OK, Melinda?” he asked. His voice was so familiar that I froze. “Tony….?” I asked, horrified. “Melinda, I-“ he started, but I jerked away from him. “Why?” The word came out as a cry from my mouth. I was crying. Tony worked for Sally’s family. That meant that Sally’s family was probably involved in this. “Melinda, I didn’t-“ Tony tried again but the other man interrupted him. “She’s here.” He grunted. The sliding door opened and tears flooded my eyes. Standing in the doorway, was my best friend; Sally Cayler.

My body wouldn’t move. It couldn’t move. I was paralyzed with pure horror and confusion. How could my best friend be the kidnapper? I could never imagine that someone as sweet and kind as Sally would every do something like this. I could never imagine that someone as perfect as her would have such a big character flaw. My lips trembled as I tried to speak her name, but nothing came out. She stepped into the van and kneeled in front of me.
“I really hoped you’d stayed out of the way, Melinda.” She sighed while shaking her head.
I tried to say “What do you mean?” but I couldn’t.
Sally rolled her pretty blue eyes and scoffed. “Things were just perfect when you stopped hanging out with Hyuk. I really didn’t want to do this, but you’ve left me no choice.”
She clicked her slender fingers and instantly the Tony and the two men grabbed onto Hyuk and bound him with rope. They tied his ankles together and his hands behind his back and they tied some cloth around his mouth to prevent him from speaking.
“I’m sorry Melinda, I really am.” Sally said softly.
“What are you doing?” I asked loudly. “You’re crazy!”
“Hyuk is mine!” Sally shouted at me. “You can’t take him away from me!”
She took my arm and dragged me across the floor. She opened the doors of the van and threw me outside. I expected to hit the sidewalk but someone caught me. I turned my head to see them. “Jeesun.” I breathed with relief. She wore a bicycle helmet and her bike was lying on the ground. She let go of me and darted into the van. She used her martial arts skills to knock out all three guys in a second. Pretty Sally stood in the van looking helpless and afraid. “I called VIXX and the police when I saw you being kidnapped.” Jeesun said to me. “I’ll call them again to let them know where we are. Take out the driver.” I suddenly remembered about the driver. I ripped open the driver’s door and tried to punch him in the face. I think it hurt me more than it hurt him. Pain rippled through my fingers and up my arm. Red blood poured from the man’s nose and he screwed his face. He curled his fist and I could tell he was going to punch back. I quickly slammed the door closed and he screamed in agony. I opened the door again and punched him again, this time with the opposite hand. It still hurt, and he still wasn’t knocked out. “Let me do it.” Jeesun said behind me. It was over in a flash. Jeesun had already freed Hyuk from the ropes so he could supervise Sally and make sure she didn’t escape. I looked at who used to be my best friend, she looked so pitiful. Tears streamed down her face like waterfalls. “It was all going fine until you had to ruin it Melinda.” She sobbed to herself. Jeesun and I sat on the edge of the van floor with out legs dangling outside the van and I asked her how she found us. “I was on my way to the grocery store on my bike when I saw you and Hyuk being dragged into the van.” Jeesun sighed. She kept talking, but I wasn’t paying attention. My mind was too fixated on the fact that Sally was the mastermind behind the men in black. How could she do that? How could she betray our friendship? I felt Hyuk come and sit beside me, he sighed. “She cried herself asleep.” He informed us. I didn’t turn around to see, but I could imagine her sleeping soundly without a care in the world. We all sat in silence until VIXX and the police came. The police instantly inspected the unconscious men and Sally. VIXX came running and shouting towards Hyuk, I saw N holding little Jinho in his arms, but Leo slowly walked up to me. The VIXX members were talking loudly but it was all a white noise to me, all I could focus on was Leo. “Are you OK?” he asked, folding his hand over mine. I nodded. “I’m sorry I didn’t come to your rescue this time…” he said sadly. “Pardon?” I asked him. “I won’t let it happen again. I promise you.” He brought my hand up to his lips and lightly kissed my hand. I blushed instantly. I could feel eyes on us so I turned my head and all of the VIXX members plus Jeesun were staring at us with wide eyes. I blushed even harder and my face became hot. In the back though, I could see Hyuk turn his head away and look at the ground. Something inside me shed a tear, what was this twisted feeling inside my stomach?

I re-read all of my chapters starting from chapter one and i realised that i sometimes switched from past tense to present tense >.< what a horrible author! i'm sorry if it confused you guys in anyway, i really am sorry :(
