It had ben a while since I had visited Jeesun. The weekend came quickly and I visited all of VIXX at Jeesun’s house. “Melinda!” Jinho laughed. He finally warmed up to me. Gathered together, we all listened to Hyuk’s story about being stalked. “Wah! You’re being stalked?” N asked, shocked. “I know we have a lot of fans, but I never thought that I would be stalked.” Hyuk sighed. “What do they look like? Should we report them?” Hongbin asked. “She has nice blonde hair and she wears my school uniform. Although, I’ve never seen her before…” Hyuk said. Oh no. I have a bad feeling that it was Sally. She was too obsessed with him, had she resorted to stalking? “Report a stalker!” Ravi said. “She’s not doing anything… She’s just following me back to Jeesun’s house. I don’t know, maybe she lives on the same street, or goes home the same way. But I just get this creepy feeling from her.” Hyuk sighed. I thought about Hyuk and Leo walking me home. What did Leo say to Hyuk when one of them had to walk me home? Maybe Sally would back off if she saw Hyuk and I walking together. “Why don’t Leo and I walk home with you so you don’t feel insecure about the stalker?” I said. My phone started ringing. Sehun was calling me… Why did he want to call me? I answer. “Hello…?” I asked shakily. I excused myself and walked into the hallway to speak in private. “Hey Melinda! It’s Sehun. When did you move houses?” He asked.
“How did you know I moved houses?” I asked.
“Well, I’m at your house, or, your previous house. I thought about spending time with you on the weekend and I walked over to your house, but strangers opened the door.” He chuckled lightly. “Why did you move?”
“Well because mum was getting busier at work and my dad had moved to Africa, so no one could drive us to school. We moved close enough so that I would walk home, I guess.”
“Where do you live now? Let’s hang out.” He said cheerily.
I sigh sadly. “Listen, Sehun. It’s not natural, to force yourself to try and make us work. You don’t have to be like this.” I said frankly.
“But I want to make us work. I want you to know that I am willing to try again, and I won’t let you go this time. I promise.” His voice was sad and pleading.
“Have you even considered me and my feelings? How do you know that I haven’t moved on?” I asked.
“What? With that Leo guy? I am more fitting for you, I’m just being honest.” Said Sehun.
“Sorry, Sehun. I have to go now.” I said.
“Goodbye, beautiful.” He said, hopeful that I would say it back.
“Goodbye, Sehun.” Said robotically and I hang up. Guilt ran up my spine. I should’ve been nice to him. “Melinda…Are you OK?” Hyuk asked, coming into the hallway. “Yeah. I think I should get going. I’m not feeling too well.” I lied. “OK. Do you want us to take you home?” he asked. “No, It’s OK. You guys don’t have to go out of your way for me.” I said. I walked back into the living room and said goodbye to everyone. I gave Jinho a bear hug and kissed him on the forehead. “Melinda!” He babbled. “Goodbye! I will miss you.” “I will miss you too little one.” I laughed. Leo accompanied me to the door. “Do you want me to walk you home?” he asked. “No, it’s OK.” I said. “Let me re-phrase that. I will walk you home.” He said as he closed the door behind him. My stomach filled with butterflies and I felt all of the air escape my lungs. I wonder if the reason why I didn’t go back to Sehun, was because I liked Leo…That couldn’t possibly be it. He saw me as a friend, as a child even. There couldn’t possible be anything between us.
