School was a drag, and I couldn’t help but worry over Sally. Was she so obsessed with Hyuk that she moved schools to be with him? To be honest, it never occurred to me as to why Hyuk still went to school. I thought that once you became an idol, you had to devote yourself to being one. VIXX was so different to Exo…

I unexpectedly got a text form someone during class. I sneakily took a peak at who it was sent from, and I couldn’t believe who had texted me; Luhan from Exo. What did he want? Why was he texting me in class? I couldn’t control my curiosity so I opened the text. ‘Hello Melinda! Long time no see, or speak, or anything… If you hadn’t heard already, Exo kind of disbanded... A lot of things were happening and we couldn’t take it anymore. I’m free today, so why don’t we hang out or something?’ Exo disbanded? That’s impossible! They were doing so well… If Exo disbanded and Luhan was free… that meant Sehun was also free… Tanya nudged me hard and I almost yelped. I hid my phone in my pocket before the teacher saw. “Thanks Tanya.” I whispered. She rolled her eyes and smiled. “Be careful next time.”

School finished and I dread pick up time. Who was going to walk with me home? Hyuk, Leo…no one? I waited in the usual area where Hyuk or Leo picked me up. But usually, Hyuk or Leo would’ve already been here. I felt someone hug me from behind and I jumped out of their grasp. “Leo you scared me…” I said while turning around. But it wasn’t Leo, heck, it wasn’t even Hyuk. My eyes widened and I clenched my fists to stop my hands from shaking. “Sehun…What are you doing here?” I asked nervously. He had a huge smile on his face, and it hurt to remember that his smile used to be mine. “What do you mean? I’m visiting you.” He laughed. “Um, right. Luhan told me about Exo disbanding and stuff…” I said. After what happened between us, I can’t act normal around him.
“So who is this ‘Leo’ you confused me with? Does he usually hug you from behind?” asked Sehun, raising his eyebrow.
“It’s not really any of your business…” I said, not making eye contact with him.
“Are you and this ‘Leo’ dating?” Sehun asked, stepping closer to me.
“No…” I said, taking a step back.
“Oh good. Because, I actually wanted to try and make us work again.”
I look at him in the eye. “What?” I was speechless.
“I realized that I was being a real big jerk. I-I distanced myself from Nari and I apologized to Luhan for punching him. And I wanted to apologise to you, for making you sad and for making you cry.” He felt the hairs at the back of his head. I didn’t realize before, but he dyed his hair dark brown. I looked down at my feet. I didn’t know what to say.
“I-I also wanted to know if you’d give us another chance.” Sehun said suddenly.
Tears flooded my eyes.
“Before you say anything. I just want you to know that I know that I was wrong, I realize that I was being hard on you because there was a lot of pressure in being an idol. I’m sorry for taking it out on you… Please, give us another chance…” he said.
I looked up at him. Part of me wanted to say yes; I still loved him. But part of me wanted to move on, part of me thought to Leo. The tears dripped down my face. Damn these tears, they always came in the worse time. “Melinda! Don’t cry.” Sehun said, startled. He came up to me and wiped my tears from my face. “I won’t make you cry anymore.”
Someone else called my name. I turn around and Leo is staring at us. “Let’s go home.” He said bluntly. I break away from Sehun and walk over to Leo. “Hello Taekwoon, so this is the ‘Leo’ you were talking about…” says Sehun. I felt my cheeks burn hotly. Did I feel embarrassed? “Consider what I said, Melinda. I’ll come back tomorrow and…” Sehun was cut off by Leo. “You won’t need to come back.” He said, slipping his fingers between mine. I gripped tightly on to his hand, but I’m sure he could still feel them shaking. Sehun’’s eyes turned sad. “Oh…” he said weakly. “I see. Well, see you around, I guess.” Sehun turned around, shoved his hands into his pockets and walked away. I felt frozen, my brain was numb. Half of my wanted to rip my hand from Leo’s grasp and run after Sehun, to hold him tightly and tell him yes. But half of me knew that it would be a mistake. “Let’s go home.” Leo said softly. I nodded, and we walked home with our fingers tightly entwined.
