“Yah Mark you’re late! And who’s this?” Jr questioned.

I could feel my face getting red and I guess YoungJae noticed. He grabbed my hand and began to lead me away from the situation.

“Well it’s getting a little late so we’ll leave first,” YoungJae said.

“Ah y-you’re right, I’ll get going too,” Dani followed behind.

“Same,”Jackson left as well.


[Mark’s POV]

No one even gave me the chance to explain who was with me. But I guess that wouldn’t matter since I totally forgot about YoSung’s birthday. I felt horrible.

“Whose birthday was it?” JiHae asked.

“YoSung’s,” I sighed.

“Omo! Was it my fault that you forgot?!”

“No-no of course not, it was my own fault. Anyway let’s head to class.”

[YoSung’s POV]

“Noona are you okay?”

I slightly nod and smile to reassure YoungJae that I was fine.

“Get to class before you’re late.”

He nods.

“I promise I’ll find out what’s going on noona!”

“It’s fine. I trust Mark…now get to class.”

When I said that I felt as if I was trying to convince myself that I trusted him.
When YoungJae left I was left with Dani and Jackson. I looked over to Dani and she already knew that we would talk during class and lunch, so she left soon after YoungJae. And now there’s just…Jackson.

“You don’t have to stay Jackson.”

“I know… you okay.”

“Yes!” I snapped.

I put my head into my hands.

“I just don’t understand how he forgot my birthday and how was suppose to pick me up this morning. He never forgets things like that… I guess this girl must be special.”

“YoSung, you know you’re special to Mark. No one knows who this girl even is. We all might just have the wrong idea.”

“Thanks Jackson, but I’ll believe it when I see it. I’ll leave first.”

Before I could walk off Jackson grabs my hand causing me to turn around.

“Just remember that you’re always special to me.”

[Mark’s POV]

The 1st class of the day always seems to go by quickly. Now the 2nd class is starting soon and I might have time to talk with YoSung to see if she would even forgive me.

“What class do you have next?”

“We are headed to English.”

“Aw I hate English.”

“Really? It’s pretty easy for me.”

“Are you super good in English?”

“I’m actually fluent. I’m from California.”

“Wow! Really? Maybe you can help me after school with my English Studies.”

“Uh…Sure.”
“When we enter the class just stand over by the teacher’s desk, I have to talk with YoSung really quick.”

“Okay.”

[YoSung’s POV]

“YoSung!”

I hear Mark call my name. I sigh heavily and turn around. Mark waited for my response, but I didn’t give him one.

“I-I’m sorry about this morning.”

He waited for my response again, but I still didn’t give him one.

“W-well, I was hoping that you would forgive me.”

I paused and thought about his statement.

“Mark… Are you serious?”

“W-what?”

“You just want me to forgive you after what you did? Let me list everything that you did today.1st you didn’t pick me up this morning like you promised, 2nd you forgot it was my birthday, and the worst of it all you come into school with some total stranger girl! The day hasn’t even started. And you want me to pretend like nothing even happened?!”

I was so displeased with Mark, that I didn’t want to stay in the same class as him.

“Excuse me Mr.Kim, but I don’t feel well may I go to the nurse.”
“Of course YoSung.”

I bowed and started to walk out the door. I saw YoungJae starting to get up to follow me.

“YoungJae I want to stay in class, please.”

“Alright Noona.”

[Mark’s POV]

“YoSung, please calm down.”

“Calm down?! Mark, you really don’t understand anything.”

YoSung gather’s her things and leaves the class I try to go after her, but someone stopped me.

“There’s really no point in chasing after her. Trust me I’m a girl you have to let her calm down first,” JiHae explained.

JiHae is right. I’ve never seen YoSung so upset. I take my seat, but see Jackson get up.

“Where are you going?”

“To find YoSung.”

“Why? Can’t you just leave her alone?!”

“No! I can’t because you can’t seem to keep her happy.”

Jackson pushes pass me and walks out.
