Chapter 24
"Calm down," I giggled.
"It's no big deal I just happened to run into her that's all."
"Were you talking about me?"
"That's between your mom and me."
Mark pouts and starts walking faster.
"Yah, Mark slow down!"
He ignores me and continues his speed walking.
"Mark! Yah Mark!" I whined.
He still continued to walk leaving me behind.
"Oppa!"
He quickly stopped and slowly turned around. I lightly jog over to where he's standing.
"Can you say it again?"
"What? Oooopa."
I pause and smile before I let him have it for leaving me behind. I playful punch on his arm, but he stops me and grabs me by my wrist.
"I like when you call me oppa."
"Well, oppa...let go of my wrist."
Mark ignores my demand and leans in for a kiss pushing his soft lips against mine.
"I really like you YoSung."
I blush uncontrollably.
"Yah Mark shut up."
"No, I'm serious YoSung... I love you."
"M-Mark."
"I-I'm sorry. I said it too early."
"No, no you didn't. It's okay because I love you too."
Mark quickly scoops me into a hug.
“I’m glad you said that. I’ll be here to pick you up in the morning.”
"Bye Mark. Don't forget about what tomorrow is."
"I would never forget about tomorrow. Bye."
[Mark's POV]
I smack my head with my hand. Did I really just tell her I loved her? I clenched my chest from my rapid heartbeat. But I do love her.
"You love who?"
I jumped from the sudden voice.
"Yah JiHae! You startled me!"
"Hehe sorry. But who do you love?"
"I said that out loud?"
"Yeah. So who?"
"Umm I guess my girlfriend."
"What do you mean you guess?"
"It's complicated."
"Does she go to our school?"
"Yeah."
"Wait is this why you’re always over here? What's her name?"
"Yes that is why I'm always over here and her name is YoSung. Do you know her?"
"I haven't started school yet Mark. But I've heard her name I'm pretty sure."
"Oh yeah sorry. I forgot your 1st day is tomorrow. "
"Wait I have heard her name. I heard girls talking about how she's dating some guy name Jackson I think.
"You heard all that and you haven’t even started yet? ...News spreads fast."
"Yeah everyone was talking about it... Is that why it's complicated?"
"Yeah," I sighed.
"She's really not dating him but he told the whole school a different story."
I turn my head and see JiHae just nodding her head.
"Well, why I don't you just tell the school that she broke up with him?"
"It's not that easy. If Jackson said they broke up everyone will think its YoSung's fault. And if YoSung says they broke up then it will still be her fault. Since everyone loves Jackson.”
The bus arrives and I get up to get on.
"Are you getting on?"
"No, my dad is picking me up today."
"Then why are you at the bus stop?"
"Cause I knew you would be here."
“Oh well um…okay see you tomorrow.”
“Wait Mark. Do you mind meeting me here in the morning so we can walk to school together?”
“Yeah sure.”
[JiHae’s POV]
He’s so naïve.
[YoSung’s POV]
I throw my body onto my bed and quickly dial Dani’s number.
“Hey YoSung! What’s up?”
“Dani you won’t believe what Mark told me today!”
“What?”
“He said he loved me.”
The phone went silent for a minute and I here Dani take a deep breath.
“YAAAAAAAAH? OMO, OMO, OMO, OMO, OMO, OMO, OMO…”
“Yah Dani calm down I should be the one yelling!”
“Sorry, I just can’t believe he said that.”
“I know!”
I was cut off when I hear the front door of my house open.
“Alright Dani I have to go my mom is home.”
“Alright, tell her I said hi! And I can’t wait for tomorrow! You think anyone will remember?”
“I hope so! Okay I really have to go bye.”
