My Kpop Idol Boyfriend
Chapter 4: Flashback Part 1
~Taemin's Flashback~
~2008~
"Taeminah! You're going to get cold." My sweet girlfriend told me as I wrapped my scarf around her.
"I don't care. My little cherry is more important than my warmth." I called my little cherry because she had cherry colored lips and loved cherries. We were walking to our favorite coffee shop near her house. She lived in a quiet peaceful area. It was really good to have dates here since I just debuted earlier in the year. I became too busy to be with her with all the promoting for our second single. It was tiring but it's what I've been training for. I feel bad for her because she is still waiting to debut. But I think that she will soon. We got to the coffee shop and went to the counter and ordered two mochas with lots of whipped cream. After that we sat down at a table next to the window and she looked outside while I looked at her.
"It's so pretty outside. The snow makes it look like a wonderland. Only something is better in this one. You." She looked at me with her beautiful smile and giggled. She is so cute.
"---------. I wanted to ask you something. I'm going to the Gaon Awards (Korean awards show) and I was wondering if you wanted to be my date." I looked at her with hopeful eyes. She frowned.
"I can't. I promised my friend that I'd watch it with her at her house. We're having a sleepover with the other trainees. Sorry." I sighed.
"It's okay." Our coffee came and we enjoyed our date for the rest of the day.

I walked to her room backstage of Music Bank while humming her debut song. It was amazing. When I turned the corner, I saw -------- talking to Seungri sunbae. I stopped and hid behind the wall to hear what they were saying.
"So when GD fell on the ice, he grabbed my pants on the belt loop and made me fall on top of him. It was so awkward because we both were face to face. After that, we didn't talk for the whole week." He told her and she laughed and touched his arm like all girls do to guys. When they're flirting... Seungri laughed a little awkwardly and told her that he had to go. After he left, I started walking towards her.
"What the hell was that?" I asked her angrily.
"What are you talking about?" She asked surprised at my tone.
"You were just flirting with sunbae. I saw you two." I told her.
"He was just telling me a funny story. It doesn't mean I like him. Calm down, okay?" She told me with a reassuring voice. I still felt a little unsure about it but nodded in agreement. She smiled and kissed me. I kissed back but the kiss felt different. It didn't have the sparks I always felt when our lips met. I pulled away and told her I had to go. Why do I feel different around her now. It felt awkward, not happy.

I was going to meet up with --------. But I wasn't really excited about it. It has been a year since her debut and now we're both busy. We mostly see each other on music shows and interviews. We don't really have enough time to date. Tell you the truth, I don't feel a connection anymore. We have been drifting apart and spoke less to each other. I think about it and I think that it would be good to try to spark up our relationship. I stopped the car in front of a flower shop and got her a bouquet of white roses. I smiled when I thought of the happy look on her face. I paid for the flowers and got back in the car. I drove to the park and walked to the spot I was meeting her at with the bouquet in my hand. I smiled with a good feeling in my gut. I saw her sitting on a bench looking at two squirrels in front of her. I walked in front of her and handed her the flowers.
"Surprise!" I said. She just looked at the flowers and then at me. No smile. She stood up and just looked at me.
"What's wrong? You don't like the flowers?" I asked worriedly
"It's not the flowers. I need to tell you something. It's very important." She said in a very serious manner.
"What is it?" I asked.
"We've been dating for a while and I really did like it. But now, I don't feel that spark anymore. I felt it...with someone else." She looked at me straight in the eye and continued.
"When it was six months after my debut, I started to talk to someone who I kind of...connected with." She took a deep breath.
"That person is..."
