As I Say
Debts, Wives, & Deals
J-Hope walked into the club shaking hands with the few men who offered then smiled as he sauntered into the back, he was dressed in baggy black jeans, a oversized t-shirt and he had a bandana around his neck. This was his usual wear, he never really wore anything nice because he never felt comfortable in it. Besides, if he started getting a big head now – he'd end up getting himself killed, and being the youngest most feared man in South Korea was dangerous. He always had his guard up, so he wouldn't get himself killed. As he made his way to the back, where he was going to tell the big man exactly what he wanted.
There'd been a girl he had his eyes on for quite a while, she'd been eying him as well but he couldn't wait to claim her as his own. Of course this sounded strangely territorial, and to be honest – it was. Ever since he'd laid his eyes on her, he knew she'd be his and she'd be able to do nothing to stop it. When he bowed to the big man, he took a seat across from him.
“What gift do you want?” he asked J-hope as he sipped the alcoholic beverage straight from the bottle.
“There is this girl,” he said to him as he rested his arms on the back of the sofa, his legs spread comfortably. He was definitely not known for his manners .He remembered after his mother and father disowned him how complicated it was to have respect in the crowd he ran in, it didn't take long to earn it. He shoved a knife through a mans throat then walked off as the man choked on his own blood.
“There is always a girl, no?” the man laughed a little then motioned for him to continue.
J-Hope smiled a little, “I want her to be mine,” he told him as he produced a picture out of his seemingly never ending pockets.
“If you can make her mine, then your debt will be paid,” he told him as he sat back against the sofa as the man looked at the picture. The older man nodded a little. Albeit he wasn't older than thirty, he had a lot more experience in this line of work than J-hope did. While J-hope didn't struggle with means of self defense or money, he didn't have many connections. So making friends was where he had to be careful.
“She is a beauty, but she is American,” he told him sighing a little. Americans were nearly untouchable due to their government taking an interest in the disappearance almost immediately.
“You must have misunderstood me, she'd be mine.. as in you'd file the correct paper work to make her my wife, and a South Korean citizen,” he told him smirking a little as he watched the mans expression change from one of doubt to understanding.
“I see, you're a smart boy, you saved my life... and I do owe you,” he said as he handed him the picture back.
“It will be done before the week is out,” he told him nodding, he had to collect the girl and make her understand the gravity of the situation. So getting in touch with people in the states was one step. Finding out where her family live, and using it as a bit of leverage against her. The last thing he needed was her thinking she could escape, and run home with out repercussions.
