Gratefulness~ pt.2 - Comments, page 2
@yonnaah
Wow! I always wanted to try living in the countryside! I live near the 2nd busiest city's downtown, so I pretty much know nothing other than tall buildings and foreigners. Where have you voyaged to? And how old are you? I'm almost 14. :)
@macoco10
Actually no it hasn't happened to me! I live in the countryside so I don't really meet foreign people. Near our capital it could be possible. Abroad I haven't really spoken too much other languagaes erither because I'm a bit shy... Even though I'm the best English speaker in our family haha! I wish I lived somewhere I could actually get to use my language skills.
@yonnaah
Has that ever happened to you? I mean, in Canada, there are many people from around the world, so there are many people speaking different languages, but sometimes, you're just like, 'what?'. Is it like that in Finland?
It is! But there are sometimes when I speak with a native from that country and he thinks I speak well the language, so he just starts blabbing words that I dont know, and I'm just on the side with a "da heck you saying, bruh" face. Haha! But it's really cool. Languages are awesome, don't you think?
@macoco10
Oh my gawd, gurl!!! :O And you can spam all you want! Wow, you are amazing and inspiring! I really don't have any words now... :D It must be fun to be able to speak so many languages.
@yonnaah
Oh, well, I guess it's hard to know which is my first language... I'd say English, French, Spanish and Romanian (since I'm a half-Romanian half-Cuban girl that lives in a French Canadian province) since I can speak all of them fluently and without hesitation. After that comes a bit of Korean (having a Korean friend at school helps a lot! I'm learning pretty much everyday thanks to her) and Japanese (all my Asian friends LOVE anime and manga/manhwa, including my Korean friend, so I got obsessed with it too and also, going to judo, a Japanese sport, helps). Um... I guess I can have a small conversation in Italian? Yeah, that's all I think. Oh and a few words in Bengali, Indian, Russian, Vietnamese, and Portuguese (my dad used to travel a lot so he taught me). Woah such a lonmg reply!! Haha! Sorry for "spamming" your comment section!
@macoco10
No, Finnish is my first language since I am a Finn, 100% :) but I enjoy speaking and writing in English. I'm more comfortable in it than in Swedish which is actually Finland's second native language. But I'm good at it too. I love studying languages! I know also a little bit of German and just a hint of Russian and of course a few phrases of Korean too. How about you? :)
@yonnaah
Tell me if it works! Is English your first language? Just asking, because there are many people on this site who is not an anglophone.
@yonnaah
Haha! I know what you mean. I just feel so ashamed when I find mistakes in my texts... :(
Like, I'm just going to read it over and over again to not make any mistakes, but you know what might help? Reading your story backwards after 10 minutes of not reading it. Then, I'm sure you'll find something because that way, you won't be used to reading the story in that sens. CAUTION! Not literally backwards! I mean, start from the last sentence and make your way to the top. I hope it helps you, 'cause it sometimes does for me. :)
@macoco10
Aaw! Thank you! :) that's good to know! I took a break from translating because I just finished the part 3! I'd like to fix the typos of part 1. I found so many when I was reading it yesterday... *ashamed* I should read the chapters at least x100 to make them perfect. I always write something wrong :D but I'll keep posting more soon!
Ok! :) I have never lived in a bigger city. I have only been in Cyprus, Rhodes and Alanya. Now I'm saving money so that I could travel to South Korea, hopefully this year. Aaand I'm 18 years old.
