Ignorance Is Bliss

As light filled into Minju's eyes, waking up she felt a sharp pain in her temple and winced. Slowly moving her head up to see where she was and felt a tightening around her wrist. Her hands and feet were both tied to a chair and she began to panic. Her memory of what had happened in the alley all came flooding back and she quickly began to look for a way out. She was in a dimly lit room with metal walls and the room had a moist feeling. She must be near water, maybe near the Han river. Her hotel was along the Han river, now if she could just get herself untied. The more she moved her wrist the more it began to burn as the ropes rubbed against her skin over and over.
"Ahh!!" She cried out in pain as she continued to struggle.
Suddenly the boy from before Jinsoo, who kidnapped her walked in.
"Ah I see you've finally woke." He said with a smile coming towards her.
"Who are you and what is going on?" She asked with anger.
"Lets just say I'm looking for someone and I needed bait and that would be you." Hes says in a playful manner.
"Bait for who?"
"Who do you think?"
"I dont know anyone in Korea."
"Didn't you come to Korea to find someone? Well I'm also looking for that someone and you are the key to finding him." He said while bending down to reach eye level with her.
"You mean my dad?" She asked.
"Bingo!"
"But what do you want with him?"
"Do you not know who your father is?" He asked.
"Yeah Song Sechul."
"One of the biggest names in the business before he disappeared."
"What business?"
"The gangster business!" He said. "Did they not tell you anything?"
"I dont know what your talking about, my father is not a gangster." She said getting upset.
"Believe it or not but your father has been hiding like a scared child and I will find him and get revenge."
"Revenge for what?" She asked.
"For killing my father." He said.
"Your lying!!" She screamed and lashed out.
She hit her head as hard as she could against his, knocking him to the floor. Blood started running down into her right eye and she began to throb in pain but she had to get out of here. She looked around for anything sharp to cut the rope and something shinny caught her eye. It was a piece of broken glass in the corner near the window. She started to scoot towards the glass but he caught her by the shirt and pulled her to him very aggressively. He also had blood running down his face from the blow to the head.
"How dare you try to fight?" He said and threw her down hard onto the ground.
Landing on her side she lost both her breath and sight for a moment. When she came back to she saw him wiping his wound and cursing to himself. This is my time she thought. Slowly sliding on her side inch by inch she finally reached the corner with the glass and began to cut at the rope. She felt the glass cut into the palm of her hand and held in her screams as tears formed in her eyes. After her hands were free she quickly moved to her feet and cut them free. Ignoring the immense pain in her body she got up as quickly as she could and ran for the door.
"Hey what are you doing?" He said realizing what had just happened and she ran through the door.
She didn't know where she was going but she was running as fast as she could down the hall. Her vison was getting worse and she began to get light headed when she finally found the door that lead to the outside. But she kept running scared that he was still following her.
"Viola!" She heard a woman yell.
"Mom?" She said stopping to look around confused.
"Over here!" Her mother yelled and she began to run towards her voice.
She found her mom hiding behind a tree and quickly grabbed her daughter to hid her with her. Minju began to cry at the touch of her mom who she had thought she would never see again.
"I know your over here Minju." Jinsoo said in a playful and creepy tone. "Come out, come out where ever you are."
"Shhh" Her mom said and put her hand over her mouth to stop her crying.
Minju looked down and saw a gun in her moms other hand, her eyes went wide. She was beginning to feel very weak and heavy but she needed to stay alert.
"Mom? Whats going on-" She was saying until she heard gun shots.
"No matter what happens run the other way and find mingi. Only trust him, okay? Do you understand me?" Her mom said urgently.
"W-w-what?" She said not understanding and feeling terrified.
"There you are!" He said coming around the tree.
"Run!" Her mom yelled and pushed her in the direction.
And she ran as fast as she could and felt several bullets hit the ground near her. He was shooting at her but all she could do was run. She had to find Mingi, whoever he was but she left her mom behind. She turned around to see where her mom was but saw her laying on the ground in a puddle of blood and Jinsoo racing towards her. When she thought she was finally done and going to die she felt a hand grab hers and suddenly she was running again. All she could see was the back of his head but he was very tall with black hair. Judging from his appearance from behind he was probably around her age. It was hard to keep up with him as they turned down different streets trying to lose him.
"I-I cant..." She said hardly able to breath as they finally came to a stop.
He turned around and bent down to look her in the eyes. He moved side to side getting a good look at her injuries. Seeing him carefully assessing her this way she felt as if she could trust him somehow.
"Mingi?" She asked before everything became black and she felt his arms going around her body.
