She Doesn't Love You.
[One Week Later]
[January 11th, 2019 Friday]
A week went by. Everyone had been busy with work and such. For the past week, i've been trying to get everything done for the Academy before leaving on a one week vacation with my girls. I also didn't get that grant for my school and i knew why too and that was okay. Shaun has also been busy with work lately with Ryan too. They were in the process of making their company bigger and moving into a much bigger place.
That Saturday night, Shaun’s mom (Miyoung) invited everyone at the Kingdom Hall over to her big mansion house for a party. Everyone dressed in formal clothing like dresses and suits.
Skye wore this pink dress that showed a little of her cleavage. It fit her perfectly and she was so pretty. Jaelynn wore a two piece dress that had a lace long sleeve crop top with a long sheer like skirt. Even though it was black and up her alley, she looked beautiful in it. Joyce wore this dress that was half white with gems at the top and black at the bottom. It had a slit where the leg was and brought our her figure. Sophia was also there too. She wore this beautiful ivory all lace long sleeve dress. It looked very nice on her. And of course, Kari was invited too. She wore this lavender long dress that had lace at the top and layers at the bottom of where the skirt was. I have to admit it looked really nice on her.
And for me, i wore this black halter top with a white skirt with black lace long the bottom. It was very matching and beautiful.
After eating dinner, we headed to the floor to dance a little. Then everyone went their separate ways to hang out with each other. I saw Shaun and Ryan talking together outside by the balcony. Joyce and me were talking while Ben played with the kids Wendy and Kyle.
Ryan’s POV.
I saw Shaun standing by the balcony looking out with a glass of wine in his hands. I came over to stand next to him to talk.
Ryan asks in Korean coming towards Shaun with a glass of wine, “something on your mind?”
Shaun takes a sip of wine & says in Korean, “just the future.”
“Are you really going to marry Jana?” Ryan asks in Korean.
“We plan to. Why do you ask?” Shaun says & asks.
Ryan says trying to make Shaun turn his back on Jana, “she doesn't love you.”
Shaun says in Korean, “of course she loves me and i love her.”
“Mom isn't happy with everything, especially with you dating and marrying Jana.” Ryan says.
“Have you been talking to mom lately? What did she tell you? Bad things about Jana?” Shaun asks curiously one questions after another.
Ryan says, “i always talk to her. She’s mad at you and Jana for making this decision without talking to her. She doesn't want you to marry someone outside of our culture or religion.”
Shaun says angrily, “i don't care what mom says. I love Jana and she loves me back. That's all that matters and we’re trying to figure everything out.”
“And your sure Jana wants the same thing too?” Ryan asks.
“Of course! What makes you think that?” Shaun says & asks not knowing what Ryan is trying to say.
Ryan says, “i heard around from people that she's planning on building her own academy for the kids with a grant she signed up for a few months ago. But she can't do that because her grant was declined.”
Shaun says, “oh my gosh. Jana is going to be crushed.”
“We all saw it coming”, Ryan says putting the drink down & crossing his arms.
I can tell that Shaun was getting mad and he grabbed me by my collar. We were looking face to face.
“I have a feeling you and mom have something to do with it”, Shaun says he grabs Ryan’s collar.
Ryan lets go of Shaun’s hand & says, “there’s nothing you can do about it. It's already been done.”
Shaun got so angry that he punched me and i punched him back making him fall onto the floor. He deserved it for breaking up our family. He never made the right decisions and yet he is the leader in our group of friends. Our mom was never happy with anything he does in his life and she deserves to be happy now. So i want to protect her now and be on her side when i still can. Then i see Jana running out to see if Shaun was alright and helping him stand back up. Shaun was about to punch me again when Jana stopped the both of us from fighting again.
Jana says out loud in Korean, “stop! Really!”
“He started it first!” Ryan says out loud.
“I don't care who started it first. You two are at an event and people are watching.” Jana says holding the both of them back.
Ryan let's go of Jana & asks & says, “what do you know? Your going to make a mistake marrying him.”
Jana says confidently reminding Ryan what he did wrong that day, “and you made the mistake for not showing up that day at the bowling alley to meet me.”
I couldn't believe Jana brought that night back. I had thought she forgave me but she still held on grudges about that night. I was so mad that i slapped Jana on her face and she fell onto the ground. She scraped her elbow and he bled out. Shaun helped her up and i just walked away because i was so mad.
