[8:30pm]

Caroline’s POV.
We had arrived at LAX after 3 hours of flying in the air. As we rolled out suitcases out of the entrance, Payton asks.

“Who is driving you guys home?” Payton asks Jana & Caroline.

Caroline says, “Darin is driving me home.”

Jana says, “Shaun or one of the guys are driving me home.”

“Okay. Kevin is coming to pick me up too.” Payton says.

“Oh! My ride's here!” Caroline says as she spots Darin driving up to pick her up.

Darin stops and i put my suitcase in the trunk of his car. I hugged Jana and Payton goodbye and went on home.

Payton says seeing Kevin driving up to pick her up, “there’s Kevin.”

Jana smiles & says, “bye Pay. i’ll see you next week.”

“Bye Jana”, Payton says putting her suitcase in Kevin's car.

“Drive safely Pay”, Jana says.

Jana’s POV.
I see Payton leaving and i stood there waiting. I was really tired inside and i wanted to go home and sleep since we’ve been out for the entire day. I unlocked my cellphone to get a phone call from Shaun.

Jana answers her cell phone, “hello?”

Shaun says over the phone, “i’m sorry Jana. i'm going to have Ryan pick you up. I’m stuck at the office. I’ll be home in a few hours.”

“Alright, thanks for letting me know”, Jana says over the phone.

We hung up the phone and i see Ryan pulling up to pick me up. He parks on the curb and gets off to help me put my suitcase in the trunk while i went into the car to sit. That's what i liked about the guys at the congregation. They are so well mannered that they would do everything and anything to help others no matter if its elders or kids. The entire ride back, i was so quiet because i was tired and just wanted to go home. Ryan kept on glancing at me and wondering if i was alright. He starts to ask me while driving.

“Did you have fun on your trip?” Ryan asks trying to break the silence.

Jana says, “it was really fun. We got to do things we haven't done before.”

Ryan smiles & says, “that's good. I want to take you to eat dinner before taking you home.”

“You can just drive me home Ryan”, Jana says looking out the window.

“I’m hungry and i want to talk to you about something”, Ryan says continuing to drive.

Ryan drove up to this plaza and we go inside to eat. At this point, i was getting sleepy and wanted to go home badly. We ordered and waited for the food to come out. Once the food came out, i just sat there looking at it in space while Ryan eats his food on his plate. After a while, he looks up at me and says in his worried eyes.

Ryan said looking at Jana holding his fork, “you should eat Jana.”

Jana says in Korean & looks up at Ryan, “i’m tired.”

I got up from my seat and walked out of the restaurant with my purse. Ryan ran after me to see what was wrong.

“Jana”, Ryan catches up to Jana, pulls her arm & says.

“What?”, Jana stops & asks in Korean sadly.

Ryan says letting go of Jana’s arm, “come back inside to eat.”

I began to cry and my tears just ran down my cheek. I couldn't control it because what i was feeling inside was sadness and tiredness. I wanted Shaun to pick me up so i could tell him that i wanted to continue our relationship with him and marry him. I wiped my tears on my face and Ryan notices.

Ryan asks, “what's the matter?”

“Everything. I’m sorry but i wanted Shaun to be here so i could talk to him about the wedding. I don’t want everything to fall apart anymore. I want to fix it.” Jana says.

“I’m sorry Jana. he’s caught working late at the office. And everything is going to be okay.” Ryan says hugging Jana to make her feel better & patting her back.

Jana asks still holding onto Ryan, “how do you know it's going to be okay?”

Ryan says letting go of Jana, “because we seem to work everything out.”

“Wait across the street on the bench. I’ll be right back.” Ryan says.

“Okay”, Jana says walking towards the bench.

I walked to the bench to sit across the street while Ryan went back inside of the restaurant. He asked for the food to be to go home. He paid for the food and grab the bags to walk where I was. He says standing in front of me.

Ryan stands in front of Jana holding the bag up & says, “here. Take these home and eat. I’ll take you home.”

Jana grabs the bag & says, “thanks.”

“Let's go home”, Ryan says holding Jana up.

While he drives me home, he begins to apologize for the other night to me.

“I am sorry for what happened the other night Jana. i realized how much i hurt you and Shaun.” Ryan apologizes.

Jana asks, “what made you do that the other night?”

Ryan says, “i guess i was jealous of you and Shaun’s relationship. I’d never thought he would find someone so compatible to him and care for him like you do. I wanted that someday for me.”

“And you will find it. I already have a feeling that you had met someone.” Jana says.

“Well, i recently went on a date with my neighbor who just moved to town a couple months ago.” Ryan says.

Jana asks, “how was she? Whats her name?”

Ryan smiles shyly & says, “she’s everything i was looking for in a girl. She’s friendly, successful, and cute. Her name is Janey. She moved here from Vietnam.”

“Janey. She sounds very friendly.” Jana smiles as she knows it is her cousin Janey but pretends not to know.

“You have to meet her someday”, Ryan smiles & says.

We arrived at the front of my apartment. Ryan helped me take out my suitcase from the trunk and said goodbyes to me. He drove off and i went up to the apartment. I rolled into my room and unpacked everything and put the clothes in the dirty bins.

[10:30pm]

After unpacking everything from my suitcase, I went into the living room to watch some tv. As i sat there, i thought about what Ryan said when he went out with his neighbor named Janey. It was my cousin Janey who just moved here from Vietnam. You see, she wanted to come to America for the longest time, ever since she went to college i remember. I went home to Vietnam with my mom a few years back to hang out with Janey. We talked over lunch and she had said that her dream was to see the world possible before she gets married or a little after. So after i came back from Vietnam, i arranged immigration papers in LA to see if she was approved for her to come over here. And she did get approved after a year. She passed the interview process and were able to move to America after a little after she graduated from medical school. It was the perfect time too because she was looking for a job after getting her degree as a Doctor and Surgeon. So i referred her to Sophia (Ben’s older sister) who was working at the Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles and got a job there. After months of being here, Janey wanted to be in a relationship so i told her that i was going to introduce her to someone (Ryan) once i settle everything with Shaun’s family. But little did i know when i was on my vacation with the girls, she found Ryan who is actually her next door neighbor. The reason why i chose Ryan was because i think they are really compatible for each other. They have the same goals and maybe the same future later on in their life. I think they will be fine together.
