True Love Never Dies
First Meeting.
[January 19th, 2019 Saturday]
[Port of Miami]
[8:00am - 10:00am]
Caroline’s POV.
We woke up super early that morning to get ready to leave the cruise ship and pack our last minute things in the room. We got changed and our suitcases are already packed ready to go. Payton went into the bathroom to get ready. She wore a grey button up collar shirt tucked into black shorts, blue cardigan with a heart on it, and her black shoulder bag purse. It was an LA and Florida outfit. Then it was my turn to get ready. I wore ripped baggy blue jeans, black halter top, a green cardigan jacket, and white slip on vans. After i got out, Jana went into the bathroom to get ready. She wore a black t-shirt with ruffles on the sleeve and the bottom, blue skinny jeans, and white converse sneakers, with her black backpack. Lastly, it was Bailee’s turn. She wore her black puma leggings, white loose t-shirt, ripped jean jacket, and her white high top vans, with her black backpack.
Janey’s POV.
I was so excited that i woke up really early that morning. I gotten ready and had a small breakfast. I wore a white dress that was up to my calves, tan long coat, tan pointy heels, and her beige purse.
After getting dressed, i looked in the mirror and had a pep talk to myself. I didn't know what to expect when it comes to dating cause apparently i'm not good at it and it's been a very long time since i went on one. On top of that, I was going to meet his friends and family this morning. That didn't make everything better so yeah. I heard the doorbell rang and i went to open it. Ryan was standing there in his suit again which made me smile. I closed my door and we walked to his car. We drove to the Kingdom Hall which he calls and explains it to me in the car. After 10 minutes of driving, we had arrived. As we were walking towards the door to meet everyone, i stopped and took a deep breath. Ryan stopped in front of me and asked if i was okay.
“Are you okay?” Ryan asks back at Janey.
Janey takes a deep breath & says, “i think so.”
Ryan walks toward Janey & says, “it's going to be alright. I’m going to be right beside you the whole time.”
“Okay”, Janey says.
Ryan holds out his arm and i take it so we walk inside together. As we went inside, there were so many people. They were dressed so nicely and some of them were just so friendly. Ryan were talking to some elders while i just stood on the side watching. Then a guy whom i slightly remembered named Shaun came up to me. He is Jana’s fiance and we met the first time when Jana picked me up from the airport couple years ago when i came over here. If you didn't know, Jana was the one who helped me come over here from Vietnam. She did most of the papers and paid for most of the fees.
“Hey. i don't think you remember me but i’m Jana’s fiance.” Shaun says to Janey.
Janey smiles & says, “of course i remember you. You and Jana picked me up when i got here from Vietnam.”
Shaun asks, “how have you’ve been since then?”
“I’ve been busy but great. I tried to contact Jana but it went through voicemail.” Janey says.
“Jana went on vacation with her high school friends this week. She's actually coming back tonight if you wanted to catch her.” Shaun says.
Janey says, “okay. I’ll probably contact her then.”
Shaun asks curiously, “are you here with Ryan?”
“Yes. he invited me after last night’s date.” Janey smiles shyly & says.
“A date? I see.” Shaun says.
Janey says whispering, “Ryan doesn't know about me and Jana being cousins. I want to tell him when Jana gets back from her vacation. Please promise me you won't say anything to him.”
Shaun slightly smiles & says in Korean, “i understand.”
“It was nice to see you again Janey”, Shaun says.
I smiled and Shaun walked away to talk to more people. Then Joyce came up to me and talk to me.
“Janey, how are you?” Joyce asks.
Janey says, “Joyce. I’m great. How about you and your family?”
Joyce smiles & says, “been busy. Wendy and Will are big now. Ben is here too, he’s parking outside.”
“That’s great! I’ll see you later okay.” Janey smiles & says excitedly.
Right then Ryan pulled my arm to sit me down at the chair in the back row cause the meeting was starting.
[12:00pm]
Bailee’s POV.
We got out of cruise ship with our suitcase and called for an uber to the airport. We went there to rent a car just for a few hours before we had to go home. We got the car and put our suitcases in the trunk. Caroline volunteered to drive while Jana sat in the front seat looking after the navigation on her phone. Me and Payton sat in the back seat taking a nap here and there. We were super tired from the morning and we knew we needed to sleep for the day. Caroline drove us out of the airport into downtown Miami. There, lies a little cafe shop. We went in there and ate a quick lunch together. Afterwards, Caroline drove us to the beach near there. We parked and got off walking on the sand in our toes. Payton took pictures on her phone with Bailee while me and Caroline stood there taking in the breath of Florida. It was the best feeling ever. We got off the beach and took a walk on the main street and bought some souvenirs for our friends and family. We wished we could stay longer but our time was up.
[4:30pm]
Jana’s POV.
We arrived at the airport and returned the rental car to the area. We grabbed all of our suitcases and went into the airport to check in our flight. Since we were all using the same airplane brand, we got in line and checked in. Bailee was going back to New York City while me, Payton, and Caroline were going back to LA. After checking in and getting our flight ticket, we walked to our gates. Bailee’s terminal was the first one we see. The four of us stood in a group and hugged her goodbye. Though we were going to see her in a week for Caroline’s wedding, we still didn't want our friendship to come to this end. We loved each other like real sisters and we couldn't break that bond between us.
[5:30pm]
Payton’s POV.
Once we said goodbye to Bailee, me, Jana, and Caroline walked to our gates which were a few terminals down. They were already boarding our plane and everyone had gotten in line by the group. We were the B group so we stood in line with our suitcase after the A group went in. The next thing you know, we were already in the air going home. We couldn't believe that one week had gone by so quickly. Caroline was already getting married next weekend. Where did the days go? We wondered.
