True Love Never Dies

[January 17th, 2019 Thursday]

[Cozumel, 8:00am-5:00pm]

[7:00AM]

Jana’s POV.
It was the 6th day of our vacation. And also the last day we get to be on land. We got to Cozumel. I booked us a travel package for the entire day in Cozumel with a group of people on a bus. Today, we were going to a chocolate factory (where they make coco), tequila company (where they produce & make their version of tequila), a beach tour of 3 different beaches in the city, and a late lunch at a family home. It was going to be a very productive and a lot of walking day. I was the first one to wake up so i went into the bathroom first. I came out wearing a pink loose t-shirt with a cat and cactus on it, white high waisted skirt, white low top converse with red and blue stripes on the side, with my black leather backpack. Then it was Payton’s turn. She went into the bathroom to get ready. She came out wearing a white style t-shirt with ridges at the bottom, orange with white pattern flared skirt, with her brown sandals. It was cute and stylish at the same time. After Payton was Bailee’s turn. She went in there and got ready. She wore a white shirt with black stripes inside of her dark blue short overalls with pockets, and her white low top converse sneakers (exactly like the ones i wore). Right when i was going towards Caroline to get my phone, she got immediately from bed. I guess she didn't want me to wake her up this time since she was the last one. Haha. but she made her way into the bathroom to get ready. She came out wearing a white crop top, black jean shorts, an a plaid long jacket, with her black and white converse sneakers.

[9:00AM]

It was 8am and we had already arrived in Cozumel. Since it was a little early, we decided to have breakfast at the restaurant where we normally ate for brunch. Once we were done eating, we headed out of the cruise ship on land. As we came out, we saw our huge cruise ship and we had to take a group photo together in front of it. It was gorgeous and we looked great.

So we walked together down the pathway and through this house where they checked our passport before we could go to the other side of the land.

When we reached the other side, there were so much to see and areas we had to take pictures of together. It was absolutely amazing and beautiful. There were souvenir shops lining up on both sides of the walkway which made it tempting for us to buy stuff.

So we met our group tour at one of the tent houses and everyone were there to check in with the leader and assistant. Then the leader escorts us to the bus for the tour. The first place we went to was The Mayan Cacao Company. There, we took a tour of the place where they made chocolate and the beans from it. They even gave us a demonstration of how they unpeel the beans and into a recipe. It was very fascinating and different from what we normally see.

After an hour there, the driver drove us to this Mayan area where they only sell souvenirs and people living there just to do that. We spent 30 minutes there and going around checking out the souvenirs for our friends and family. I wanted to buy everything for my friends at the congregation and so i eased myself and only bought a small bag full of souvenirs.

[12:00PM]

Once we were done with that place, we went on the bus and drove about a 15 minutes ride to the Tequila Factory. It was a place where they made their own version of Tequila and we got to try different kinds of it. They even showed a demonstration of how to mix Tequila in a regular drink. Then we were escorted to where they sold all types of Tequila. So i had to buy one for Joyce because she loves Tequila or alcohol in general.

After an hour there, we drove for another 30 minutes and to three different beaches. It was very beautiful and refreshing. While everyone took pictures, i took in fresh air and it felt amazing. Wind was blowing in my face and the air was just nice. I wished that Shaun was here with me, he would've liked it a lot.

[2:45PM]

After the beaches, we drove back to the dock where we met in the morning. When we arrived, the leader escorted us to this little home right next to the souvenir shops for a late lunch. The food was delicious and it was different from what we had in LA. It was real authentic mexican food.

[4:00PM]

Payton’s POV.
When we were done eating, we said our goodbyes to the people we went with and thanked the leader for being so great to us that entire day. We saw some amazing things. After, we walked back to the cruise ship and towards our stateroom. We laid on the bed and just talked to each other about our day and how we loved every bit of it.

Bailee asks, “how amazing was today?”

“It was! Thanks Jana for planning all of this.” Caroline says in excitement.

“It's what i do best and i'm glad you guys enjoyed it”, Jana smiled & says.

Payton says in excitement, “i can't wait to tell everyone at work that i went ziplining. They are going to be so proud of me.”

Bailee smiles & says, “WE are proud of you for doing that.”

“I’m going downstairs to get something to drink. You girls want anything?” Jana says & asks as she takes the ladder down from her bed.

“Can you get me a margarita?” Caroline asks Jana.

Payton says, “isn't it a little early in the day for that Care?”

Caroline says, “it’s never too early for it and besides, i want to get a head start for tonight.”

“I got it Caroline. Anyone else?” Jana says to Caroline & asks Bailee and Payton.

“I’m good. I’ll call you if i want anything.” Bailee says to Jana.

Payton says, “yeah, i’m good too.”

Jana says, “alright. I’ll be right back.”

Jana had left the room with her phone and purse. I got up from my bed and changed into my work out clothes. Caroline asks me while i change.

“How do you even have strength to work out after today?” Caroline jokingly asks.

“I have to get my workout in for today so i could relax tomorrow before we go home”, Payton says.

I finished changing my clothes and said to Caroline and Bailee.

Payton says walking out of the room, “see you girls later!”

Jana’s POV.
As i was walking out of the elevator towards the bar area, i got a phone call on my cell phone. It was from Shaun. I stopped and talked to him sitting on one of the tables near the bar area. Since we were still on land, i had reception and i could answer phone calls.

Jana answers her cell phone, “hello?”

“How are you doing Jana?” Shaun asks.

“I’m having a blast with my friends here. Everything has been amazing. I wish you were here with me.” Jana says excitedly over the phone.

Shaun says over the phone, “i’m glad that you are having fun with the girls.”

Jana asks sensing the tone in Shaun’s voice, “is everything okay with you?”

“How did you know something was wrong?” Shaun asks.

“We’ve been together for too long Shaun. I can hear it in your voice.” Jana smiles & says over the phone.

Shaun says, “i just really miss you and i want to see you.”

Jana smiles after hearing that & says, “i’ll be home in a couple of days.”

“We have a lot to talk about Jana”, Shaun says over the phone.

“I know and i will explain everything to you when i get back, i promise.” Jana says.

Shaun says, “i’ll be here waiting for you then.”

Jana asks, “are you going to pick me up from the airport or should i take an uber straight home?”

“What time will you be in LA on Saturday?” Shaun asks.

“8:30PM at LAX”. Jana says.

Shaun says, “alright. I’ll pick you up. If i cant, i’ll call one of the guys to pick you up and text you then.”

Jana says, “okay.”

“Have fun and be careful, ok”, Shaun says over the phone worrying for Jana.

“I know. Tell everyone i said hi and i’ll be back soon.” Jana says.

Shaun says one more thing, “of course. oh Jana.”

Jana asks, “yeah?”

“Your mom came by the other day and she talked to me. She seems a bit sad about something and it might be bothering her. I think you should talk to her when you get back.” Shaun says.

“Okay. i will. Thanks.” Jana says.

Shaun says, “take care, i love you Jana.”

Jana says over the phone, “i love you Shaun.”

I felt better talking to Shaun over the phone. I was missing him and he was missing me. I wanted to hear his voice and he seemed sad without me there. I spent a few minutes scrolling through my photo album on my phone and saw all of the pictures me and Shaun took together when we went places. I really missed him and wanted to be with him more. Then i got up from my seat and went towards the bar. I ordered a coke and a margarita. I took it back to the room and see only Caroline there by herself. I gave her the drink and sat next to her on the bed. We got to talking a little and hanged out like sisters.

“Where did Payton and Bailee go?” Jana asks.

“Payton went to the gym and Bailee went to the art gallery to check out some paintings”, Caroline says after sipping on her margarita.

Jana says, “Shaun called me just now.”

Caroline looks at Jana & asks, “what did he say?”

“He misses me and wants to see me soon. And he said that he was going to pick me up from the airport on Saturday night.” Jana says.

“Aww, that means he loves you and cares about you.” Caroline smiles & says.

Jana says, “after this week is over, im ready to get back to reality and fix everything that's been happening. I’m not going to let anyone be in the way of my love for Shaun. I love him and i can't let him go.”

Caroline says, “show them who your made of. i’m so proud of you.”

“I will and i’m going to be proud about it”, Jana says excitedly.
