True Love Never Dies

Who You Can & Can't Love.

[5:00PM]

Caroline's POV.
After getting back to the stateroom, everyone took turns taking a clean shower. I wore this tight black criss cross halter crop top, black with white floral long skirt, black strappy heels, with my black cross bag. Then it was Bailee’s turn to get ready. She wore this crop top floral shirt, dark tan long skirt pants, black slip on heels, and her black leather bag. Payton’s turn was up. She wore this white crop top tank top, beige puffy long skirt, tan strappy heels, and her tan clutch purse. Lastly was Jana’s turn. She wore this white lace short sleeve crop top, pastel pink long skirt, and white heels.

We all wanted to match somehow tonight again since we were so good at it a couple nights back with the dresses. After getting dressed, we headed downstairs to the atrium deck. There were so many people there drinking and listening to music. We danced a little with some drinks in our hands.

[8:00PM]

Bailee’s POV.
We headed on over to our dinner reservation and ate together. We spent a lot of time talking about of day together and how successful it was. We had a great time with each other’s company. It really felt like it was high school again where we were at the bleachers talking about our future plans after high school. We always had a blast just the four of us together. We were each other’s pieces in the full puzzle. We completed each other in ways you can't explain.

[10:00PM]

After dinner, we went to the open deck where the pool was and watched a movie together. They were showing Beauty and the Beast (the newest version). Even though we watched it already, we wanted to watch it again because it was our favorite movie of all time. It was actually the first movie where all of us liked it. As we sat there watching it, it reminded me of the first time we watched it together. I was in town a couple years ago in LA for a business trip and we all went over to Caroline’s beach house to watch it. I still remember that during that time, Darin was working late at the office in the city so he isn't home yet. And Caroline wanted us to come over to watch it together in her theater room. We had snacks and everything. We actually fell asleep towards the ending of the movie so yeah. It was something we all remembered doing together.

[12:00AM]

Jana’s POV.
It was already midnight and the movie showing was over. Everyone went back to their staterooms. Payton and Caroline were asleep so i talked to Bailee.

“We should go back to the room”, Bailee says.

Jana smiles & says, “i'm going to stay here for a little while and watch the stars. You guys go on ahead.”

Bailee smiles & says, “alright. I'm going to take these two up there. Don't stay up too late.”

“I won't”, Jana says.

“Goodnight Jana”, Bailee says holding Payton and Caroline up.

Jana says, “night Bailee.”

Bailee carries Payton on her left side while Caroline was on her ride side. I see Bailee making her way towards the sliding doors and out of the shot. I stood up from my chair and walked over to the rail to watch the stars a little clearly. It was pitch dark and so beautiful, nothing i've seen in my life. I wish everything stopped for a while so i could catch my breath. I watched the bright stars and i sense someone standing next to me. There, it was an old lady standing next to me.

Lola asks looking at the stars, “beautiful, isn't it?”

“Definitely”, Jana smiles & says.

“Something on your mind, sweetheart?” Lola asks after realizing the worry look on Jana’s face.

Jana says, “i think its love.”

Lola asks curiously, “you have boy trouble?”

“I'm not sure what to do from this point on”, Jana says.

“What seems to be the problem?” Lola asks trying to understand Jana more.

Jana says, “ive been together with this guy for 3 years now and he asked me to marry him. But the problem is, his mother and middle brother doesn't like me. They hate my guts.”

Lola asks, “and how do you know they hate you?”

“His mother forbids me to see and marry him. She even threatened me that if i continue to see him, she will put a stop to my grant from the school of board. She has the power to do that and she did.” Jana explains.

“There must be something more than that”, Lola says looking at Jana.

Jana continues to say, “me and him have a different religion but i do go with him to the meetings and listen. I also learned his language to communicate with his family and friends. His mother doesn't like the different cultures between us too.”

Lola says, “oh honey. You are dealing with an evil mother-in-law here.”

“What do you think i should do? Marry the guy or find somewhere else?” Jana asks.

“Do you truly love him? And will you do everything for him? Sacrifice your life for him?” Lola asks Jana.

Jana says, “i would do anything for him because i really love him.”

Lola explains, “i was married at 22 to the love of my life and we’ve been married for 48 years. You do the math.”

“Your 70 years old??” Jana asks in shock.

“Right”, Lola agrees.

Jana asks, “what do you do to keep it going?”

Lola says, “we fight one day and learn to let it go the next. It's not worth jeopardizing our relationship.”

“Then what about him?” Jana asks Lola.

“I'm always his first priority. If he has something bothering him then he tells me and i try to fix it somehow. When i cant, i ask him for help. If we go down, we go down together. If one of us fall, the other one help gets the other one back up. We’re a team.” Lola explains.

Jana turns around to her back against the railing & says, “i'm not sure what to do now.”

Lola puts her hand on Jana’s shoulders & says, “don't let anyone tell you who you can or can not love. Follow your heart.”

The lady left leaving me there by myself. After a few minutes, i went back to the room to sleep. As i was laying there in bed, i remembered all the good times me and Shaun had when we’re together. Thinking back at it made me miss him even more. We traveled to NYC together for his business and spent a little time together there. When i was studying Korean, he was the one who helped me pass my exams and practiced talking to me so i get the hang of it. Me and him sometimes babysit Wendy and Will when Joyce and Ben wants time to themselves. We’d always have a blast hanging out together. Just thinking of those times makes me wonder what the rest of my life would be like if i married Shaun. I would have a very happy life with friends and family by our side.
