Just A Number

Aimee was standing a few inches away from Jungkook who seems like he was still in a daze. “W-what are you doing here?” He finally spoke. “To see you silly,” Aimee giggled flipping her long brown hair to the side. “I just got back from Japan and thought hm, maybe I should go see my Kookie.” Wow, that was a stab in the heart, I kinda…want to punch this girl in the face. Namjoon nudged me and I turned to look back at him, he slightly shook his head and rolled his eyes, I guess they’re not a fan of Aimee too. “Ah, Joonieeee, ChimChim, and Hobiiiii!” Aimee called out to them, they had a delayed reaction trying to smile but failing, on purpose, it made me chuckle.

“Oh? And who is this?” She eyed me which made me smile disappear, “Your big sister or something Kookie?” I’m his girlfriend you swine! “Y-yeah…I mean n-no, uh, she’s my…my aunt.” Rip out my fucking heart out why don’t ya? “Oooohhh I see! Nice to meet you! I’m Song Aimee, well you probably already heard of me.” She bows, I look up at Jungkook who was giving me a remorse look, “Yes, nice to…meet you. I’m Kang Yuna…Jungkook’s…aunt.” I want to die.

“Your aunt is so pretty Kookie.” She laughs, an annoying high pitch laugh, I really want to punch her. “Okay well now you see us Aimee, I need to get ready,” Jungkook says trying to gently push her out of the room, “No, Kookie,” I wish she would stop calling him that! So annoying!! “I came really to talk to you,” Jungkook raises his eyebrows, “About?” She turns her head looking at the 4 of us still sitting on the couch, “I want to talk to you…privately.” Jungkook sighs closing his eyes, he seems really annoyed, “Well uh, we’ll go out and show your…aunt around backstage.” Jimin said pulling my arm to get me up. What the hell does she need to talk to him privately about?! “It’ll only be for a bit,” Jungkook grabbed my wrist before I headed out the door, I gave him a faint smile and Aimee was just eyeing me.


“What do you think she’s here for?” Hoseok asked the guys as we walked down the hallway, “I don’t know, I just know it can’t be good.” Jimin muttered. “Why wouldn’t it be good?” I asked, they all stopped and turned to me, “That girl is like a leech,” Jimin replied, “The girl was always obsessed with Jungkook but then started using him for her own gain.” Namjoon added. “Yeah, dating Jungkook made her really popular, so popular that she decided to leave Star Gals to go solo. She became more of a diva.” So basically, the image she shows to public is a façade, I should have known, knowing some of these idols.

“But, they’re a thing of the past…right?” I asked, “Oh yeah yeah, you don’t have to worry, Jungkook kicked her to the curb since he couldn’t stand being around her.” I don’t blame him. The boys were showing me around the busy backstage, the audience was full of people rushing in to see Jungkook, he has…so many fans. He deserves all of this, getting to know him personally he’s such an amazing person, so down to earth and caring, unlike these other stars, I don’t know how he puts up with this industry.

I was trailing behind Jimin as the guys were pointing to lights and sound systems explaining to me what they were until someone grabbed my arm pulling me behind the stage curtains. “shhh,” It was Jungkook, he was all ready for the concert with his mic on his head. “Jungkook?” I whispered, “I’m so sorry about that,” he holds both of my hands with a sincere look on his face, “calling you my aunt and everything, ugh, I…I’m just so sorry.” “It’s okay Jungkook I understand. “I sigh, “Well, what did she want?” He looks down at the floor shaking his head, “To date me again…” He muttered. DATE!!? “But of course, I said no, and I never will again, I honestly don’t know what kind of stunt she’s trying to pull, I mean I haven’t seen her since I dumped her last year.”

I could hear his voice getting slightly angry, I grabbed his face holding on to it, making him look at him, “It’s okay I’m here for you, just focus on your concert okay? You have fans out there waiting for you.” He stares back at me with his wide bunny smile, “You’re right, thank you, you’re so amazing,” “You know I try,” I teased, he then pulled me closer and came down to kiss me, very passionate. I slightly pulled back, “We can’t…do this here,” I try to breathe out, “Shhh, we’re fine, it’s just you and me.” He goes back for another kiss and in this moment, it felt like it was just us, only us here.


3rd person POV
Aimee was fuming as she was turned down my Jungkook. She was left in the empty dressing room by herself with tears in her eyes. Tears of anger. She couldn’t believe he would turn her down, she only went solo and gotten more popular for him. She wanted to be just as big as him so they could be a power couple in the industry. “This is such bullshit,” she mumbled patting her eyes dry trying not to mess up her eye makeup. “Who does he think he is? Why the hell wouldn’t he want me back? I mean look at me! I’m fucking Aimee.”

She studies her face again in the mirror, “He’s probably not thinking straight, I’ll convince him this time.” She said walking out the dressing room. She walked all over backstage trying to find Jungkook, growing frustrated as everyone she asked said they didn’t know where he went. As soon as she was about to give up she saw movement in one of the stage curtains, she slowly walked up to it and peeked her head behind it, her mouth agape looking at what she is witnessing. Jungkook and Yuna passionately kissing, she pulled her head back trying to process what she just saw, Jungkook…and his…aunt??? No, it couldn’t be, the way he grabbed her wrist and was looking at her in the dressing room, it all made sense!

“So, he chooses some old hag over me?” she angrily bit her bottom lip hard, “well, let’s just hope the world is ready for this freak show.” She smirked at herself, she takes out her cellphone and secretly records Jungkook and Yuna, zooming in on their faces.

“Hope your relationship is worth it.” She whispers.
