The Missing Piece

Narration ;
Once the ceremony was over, everyone walked over to the dining area. Jana and Jay said a toast to their mom and Nathan.

Jay says with a glass in the air, “i just wanted to say congratulations to my mom and Nathan. It's been a long time since me and my sister seen our mom this happy in her life.”

Jay says to Nathan, “please take good care of our mom from here on out. Cheers!”

Everyone cheers in the air loudly. Then it was Jana’s turn.

Jana says to her mom with a glass raise in the air, “Mom. i'm glad that you found love again. I know that you have been wanting to redo marriage again but never had the chance. Now, you have that chance again and married Nathan. I hope you guys live a happy life together. Cheers!”

Family and friends continued on eating and talking amongst each other. The night was over until the dance. Nathan and Tammy went out to the dance floor and shared their first dance as a married couple. The music was slow and everything was just right. Then Nathan and Jana danced together. While she was doing so, in the corner of her eye, she sees Alex standing there in his nice tuxedo. While dancing, Nathan tells Jana..

Nathan says, “it's time you go to him.”

Jana asks, “my mom had something to do with him being here, doesn't it?”

“Only way to find out is to go talk to him.” Nathan says as he breaks away from the dance.

Jana stood there thinking of what she should do from this point on. Alex walks towards Jana and asks..

Alex asks with his hand out asking for a dance, “would you like to dance?”

Jana says under pressure, “sure.”

Alex lead the way and they started slow dancing. In Jana’s head, she was nervous and didn't know what to say to him or ask him. But Alex began to ask her..

“How have you been Jana?” Alex asks curiously.

“Better than most days.” Jana says as she looks in his eyes.

Alex says, “i heard from the principal that you got a huge promotion job elsewhere. Congratulations.”

Jana smiles & says, “thank you.”

“I really missed you when i was in China. I wish i didn't leave at that time.” Alex says.

Jana was confused and didn't know what to say so she just broke away from Alex and ran off somewhere. Bailee, Caroline, Payton, and Tammy came towards Alex and told him..

Payton asks, “what did you say to Jana?”

Alex says, “nothing. I just told her that i missed her, that's all.”

Caroline asks Alex, “well, what are you still doing here for??”

Tammy encourages Alex & says, “go and talk to her.”

Bailee tells him, “go now.”

Alex runs after Jana who was standing on the sand holding her shoes looking out to the water. He stands next to her and talks to her.

“I thought i find you here.” Alex says.

“You found me, happy now?” Jana says & questions while looking out to the water.

Alex says, “you're probably still upset with me about me not telling you i was back sooner than usual.”

Jana snaps out of her thoughts & says to Alex in her tone facing him, “your right. I am still upset about that. Why didn't you ever tell me that you were back? I wanted to see you since it's been, what, 4 months. I waited and waited for you to come back Alex.”

“I'm sorry Jana. i really am sorry.” Alex says.

“I heard from Payton that you had broken up with Max before i left to China. I should've stayed and listened to what you had to say. But now that i'm back, i really want you Jana. i want you to be with me forever.” Alex continues to say.

Jana asks, “what are you trying to say?”

Alex says, “i want us to put everything behind us and move on with the both of us being together as girlfriend and boyfriend.”

Jana chuckles as she looks down & says as she raises her head up to tell him, “you were right by my side since the very beginning. I was so busy being with someone like Max that i was blind to noticing you were there with me. But when i had already broken up with Max, you had already left to China. Then, i waited for days for you to come back. Now, we’re here together.”

“Don't you think we’re like each other’s missing piece?” Jana says as she smiles.

“Most likely.” Alex smiles & says.

Jana looks into Alex’s eyes & says, “i love you Alex.”

Alex smiles & looks into Jana’s eyes saying, “i have always loved you Jana.”

The two kissed the night away and were in love with each other again. Bailee, Payton, and Caroline all watched from afar and were happy for Jana. Afterwards, everyone headed back to the dance floor. Jana stood by the girl gang and talked to them.

Jana says to Bailee & Payton, “there is something i've been wanting to talk to the both of you about.”

Bailee politely asks, “what is it?”

“Well. My mom and Nathan are moving here. So my brother is going to stay at the apartment by himself. I decided to move in with Alex and i was wondering if you two wanted to live in my apartment.” Jana says.

“You two should live together and we will always visit you guys.” Caroline says.

Payton asks Caroline, “aren't you going to live with us too?”

Caroline says, “no. i'm going to move in with Darin in a couple of weeks.”

“The rent has been paid for until the end of this year so you don't have to worry about it. I just need someone to move in and live there.” Jana explains.

“Of course we will live there.” Bailee says happily.

Payton says to Jana, “thank you Jana.”

Bailee says to Jana, “yeah. Thank you Jana.”

“Your welcome you guys.” Jana says.

Everyone lived happily ever after. Tammy and Nathan moved out of the city and to the beach house. Jay, Jana’s brother, lives alone in his mom’s apartment by himself. He also got a promotion from the company he works at. Jana’s grandmother moved into a senior home and happily met new friends. Once Jana moved into Alex’s apartment, Bailee and Payton moved into Jana’s apartment. Jana was so happy living with Alex and seeing him everyday. Since Jana’s apartment has 3 bedrooms, Bailee decided Marcel was going to move to LA and live with Bailee in the apartment with her. Payton and Kevin is currently looking for a house and moving after they get married in a few months. Everything was going well for everyone. Life is currently great.

It’s crazy how life works. It all depends on who you're spending it with. And sometimes it's the thing that is close to you that matters the most. In this case, Jana had her girlfriends and were grateful she had them in her life. She also didn't see Alex anything but a close friend. But then she realized that he is more to her than anything in the world and she loves him. Everything worked out fine and life should be this way.
