The Missing Piece

[FRIDAY APRIL 7TH]

Bailee’s POV.
Last night was another amazing night together. We danced and danced, tried so many cocktails, and just enjoyed each other’s company together. I woke up a little earlier than everybody else, so i took advantage of getting ready early. I went into the bathroom and gotten ready for the day. I wore a bright blue tank top flowy dress, dark tan thick strappy sandals, a beige small sunhat, long staple necklace, with my black leather backpack.

I didn't want to wake anyone up so i just went downstairs to the lobby to get some coffee at that coffee shop Jana went to a couple days ago. I sat there with my coffee and someone called me on my cell phone.

Bailee says as she picks up her cell phone, “hello?”

Mrs. Gryni says & asks over the phone, “Hi. Im Amelia Emeret Johnson from Abraham Academy, an all girls school in London, England. Am i speaking to Bailee Burney?”

“Yes, this is she.” Bailee says politely over the phone.

“A lot of my students have showed me your facebook page on your art work. I have to say that i am impressed with the work you have done.” Mrs. Amelia Emeret Johnson says.

Bailee smiles & says, “thank you very much.”

Mrs. Amelia Emeret Johnson says, “i want to offer you a job in LA, Melrose or Rodeo Drive to be exact.”

“Didn't you say you were from London?” Bailee asks.

“I am, but we are opening another girls school in LA. it's part of our second project. We would like you to teach our students the values of art and how to adapt that in their everyday lives. What do you say, Miss Burney?” Mrs. Amelia Emeret Johnson says & asks.

“It's a great opportunity for me, but it will be impossible for me to go back and forth. You see, i live in Idaho now. I no longer live in LA.” Bailee says in dissapoint.

“We are willing to help you find a place for the first two years. Then after that, your on your own.” Mrs. Amelia Emeret Johnson says.

Bailee says, “i accept your offer, Mrs. Amelia Emeret Johnson”

Mrs. Amelia Emeret Johnson says, “alright. I'm going to be in Idaho next week and we can discuss the contract together.”

“Yes, ma’am. Thank you so much.” Bailee says in excitement over the phone.

“We’ll talk then. Bye Miss Bailee Burney.” Mrs. Amelia Emeret Johnson says as she hangs up the phone.

After hanging up the phone, i was so happy to have a teaching job that i always wanted. I took a sip of my coffee and looked up to see Jana coming towards me. She was wearing blue jean shorts, black spaghetti strap shirt, long burgundy cardigan, and her white low top converse shoes, with her black backpack.

I could tell that she was a bit worried about where i went.

Jana says coming towards me, “there you are. I've been looking for you everywhere and you didn't answer your phone. I got a little worried.”

Bailee says, “i was down here having a cup of coffee.”

“Nothing happened right?” Jana asks.

“No but i have something important to tell you and i couldn't wait.” Bailee says.

Jana sits down in front of Bailee and a waitress comes asking for her order. Jana says, “Nonfat vanilla latte, please.”

The waitress walked away with the order and Jana asks Bailee, “what couldn't wait?”

Bailee says, “a principal from an all girls school just called me and offered me a job as an art teacher there.”

“Oh my gosh. Where?” Jana surprised & asks.

“Pasadena, California.” Bailee confirms.

Jana says, “that's back in our hometown, LA.”

Bailee says, “right.”

“That means you would have to move back to LA for the job. I mean, you just left LA for Idaho.” Jana says.

“Yeah. i had already told the principal i'm going to take the job there.” Bailee says honestly.

Jana asks, “so you're going to move back to LA? What about your parents?”

Bailee says, “i'm going to move back and i can always talk to my parents about it. They’ll understand. Besides, LA is where i was born and raised. And i can't always be away from you girls. I need you all close to me as much as possible.”

“Oh my gosh. I can't believe this. We’re all actually moving on and being together again like we promised after we graduated high school.” Jana says happily.

“It should always be like this. We can't ever be apart from each other.” Bailee says.

Jana asks, “does Marcel know you're moving back to LA? What are you guys going to do?”

Bailee says, “i haven't told him yet and i was planning on soon.”

“What about moving in together?” Jana asks.

“We’ll figure it out later.” Bailee says.

Me and Jana walked back to the hotel room to wake up Payton and Caroline. When we reached our hotel room, i opened the door with Jana following behind me. Once we came inside, Payton and Caroline yelled ‘Happy Birthday’ to Jana.

Caroline and Payton were already awake and getting ready for the day. Caroline wore a black overall dress with a white arm sleeve collar shirt, straight long hair, white adidas shoes.

Payton wore a black spaghetti strap tank top, floral mini skirt, beige knit cardigan, long staple necklace, beige ankle boots, hair curled down prettily.

They held onto each other’s small presents and we came inside of the room. I walked towards the table to get my small wrapped present and held it standing in the middle of Payton and Caroline. Jana was surprised and shocked by the actions we did.

Bailee says while holding the present, “It’s not much but we wanted to be here for your birthday.”

Caroline says, “you’ve always been supported of our dreams and been there for us when we needed you.”

Payton says, “your the best friend of us.”

Bailee, Caroline, and Payton says together, “Happy Birthday Jana!”

Jana smiles & says, “you girls didn't have to do this for me. Thank you.”

Payton and Caroline spread out each of their arms. Payton says, “bring it in.”

Jana walked towards us and we all hugged together. She was emotionally happy with her birthday present from us. After a while, we let go of each other and we showed Jana the presents.

“You guys didn't have to get me anything. Being here is good enough.” Jana says.

“Open mines first.” Payton says.

Payton says while Jana opens up the present, “one of them is mine and the other is Alex’s.”

Jana asks, “Alex? When did he get me something?”

“He said that you had lost your favorite charm bracelet and you never got it replaced.” Bailee says.

“He also said that you and Alex were in the jewelry store weeks ago picking out a present for his sister's birthday. He saw that you admired a bracelet in the window.” Bailee continued on saying.

Caroline says, “it wasn’t really for his sister’s birthday but for you. So when he told us that, we banded together and bought you charms for your bracelet.”

Jana says, “i had lost that charm bracelet years ago. It's been a really long time but he still remembered.”

Jana continued on opening the other two presents from Caroline and Bailee. We helped Jana put together the charm bracelet.

“What do these charms mean?” Jana asks.

“The notebook and pen stands for your passion for teaching.” Payton explains.

Bailee says, “the shoe is your passion for dance.”

Caroline says, “and the clock is of course to tell time. I thought it would look cute with everything.”

“What about this ladybug?” Jana asks as she points it out on the charm bracelet.

“We didn't know what it meant or know who it was from.” Payton says.

Jana says with a smile, “Oh. thank you guys. You don't know how happy i am.”
