The Missing Piece

[THURSDAY APRIL 6TH]

[10:45AM]

Payton’s POV.
Me and Jana had woken up first. We just laid there in bed next to each other and looked on our phones. After a while, Jana got out of bed and into the bathroom to get ready for the day. She took a quick shower and changed. She wore white skinny jeans, navy blue tee with ruffles at the bottom, white strappy sandals, stacked necklace, with curled waterfall braided hair.

Then it was my turn to get ready. At this time, Bailee and Caroline were slowly waking up. I was so hungover from last night so i had to take a shower to refresh everything. I wanted to look fresh today so i wore a pink off the the shoulder top tucked into light ripped short jeans, white converse, my black leather backpack, hair curled down prettily.

I came out of the bathroom and went towards my phone to check some emails. Bailee decides to go into the bathroom to get ready. She wore a navy blue short sleeve floral dress, hair half up, white converse, black choker with a necklace underneath it.

Bailee came out of the bathroom to clean up her suitcase before we left. Caroline was having trouble getting up so me, Bailee, and Jana (who were already dressed) waked her up by jumping on the bed. I guess she had a long night too. Caroline got up and walked to the bathroom to get ready. After 20 minutes of being in the bathroom, Caroline came out. She wore a black spaghetti strap short crop top (that showed her stomach), light blue ripped short jeans, black collar shirt that act as a jacket, black choker, black high top converse shoes, black round sunglasses, hair straight down, black leather backpack.

[11:30AM]

Bailee’s POV.
Since we were still hungover from last night cause we partied a little too hard, we wanted to get something recovering to eat. We decided to go downstairs to the Beijing Noodle Cloud 9 restaurant in our hotel and ate there. We needed some soups to cure the hangover.

As we were talking and waiting for our food to come out, Caroline starts to tell Jana and Payton about her night last night. It was definitely a story to tell.

Caroline says to Jana, “so after Bailee took you and Payton back to the hotel last night, i decided to stay at the club to see who that guy who was staring at me.”

Payton says to Bailee and Jana, “you guys owe me. I won the bet, remember.”

“You guys made a bet about me and the guy?” Caroline asks.

“Yeah. We were curious.” Bailee says.

Caroline asks, “when did this happen?”

Jana says, “last night when you were getting our drinks at the bar.”

“Man, do i feel betrayed by you guys.” Caroline jokingly says.

“You won the bet, so what do you want Pay?” Jana says & asks.

Payton says without thinking about it, “i want you to bring Kevin over here so that i could yell at him face to face for not being here for me.”

Bailee says & asks, “of all the things in the world, that's what you want the most?”

“Is it wrong? I really want him here. I miss the guy so much.” Payton says.

“Anyways, you were saying Caroline?” Jana asks Caroline.

Caroline begins to explain & fall in love all over again, “right. It turns out that guy's name is Darin Miller. He’s a lawyer and he lives in Malibu in California. He is so handsome and we talked the night away.”

Payton asks, “are you going to see him again?”

“I'm not sure. We did go on this vacation as a girls trip together. I don't want ruin what we have.” Caroline says.

“Well. you have our permission to see him again, if you are going to see him again.” Jana says.

Caroline says, “you know the strange thing is that he is nowhere near Gary’s standards.”

Bailee asks, “what do you mean about that?”

“I mean that Darin is more of a gentleman, nice, caring, and i can talk to him about everything. He really understands me like you girls understand me.” Caroline continues to explain on and on.

“You're in love with him Caroline.” Payton states the obvious.

Caroline says, “i don't know what this feeling is. I want to see him again and spend more time with him. I feel like i can get to know him more if we hanged out more.”

When Caroline was talking about Darin Miller, i saw (from the corner of my eye) at the front of the restaurant with the waitress a group of guys. The waitress was escorting those group of guys to their seat which is across from ours. In that group was Darin Miller. I signaled at Caroline and the others that Darin and his friends had came.

Caroline surprised to see Darin with his friends & whispers to the girls, “oh my gosh. That’s him.”

Payton says jokingly, “you didn't tell us that he was that hot in real life.”

“Come on. You guys saw last night, you would remember his hotness.” Caroline says.

“Try not to make any contact and he won't notice.” Jana whispers.

We tried not to make any contact to Darin’s table. When the waitress came out with our food, the guys from the other table looked up from their menu over to us. We ducked our heads down trying not to look the other side. We hurried and ate. We quickly paid the bill and aborted the restaurant. As Caroline got up from her chair, her bracelet got caught onto the cracks of the table. We didn't want to make a big deal so we left the bracelet there and left quickly out of there.

Darin Miller’s POV.
The guys and i were done eating and made it out of the restaurant. As i was walking behind the guys out, i recognized that someone had forgotten her bracelet at the table. I grabbed the bracelet and ran after the girl who left it there. It's a good thing that i saw her back and recognized her when she was walking towards the lobby.

When we were walking towards the lobby, a guy called us out from behind.

Darin Miller yells from a distance, “Miss! You forgot your bracelet at the restaurant!.”

We stopped and we knew it was Darin who came towards us with the bracelet. We slowly turned around and he was surprised to see Caroline again.

Darin questions, “Caroline?”

Caroline pretending to ask back, “Darin? What are you doing here?”

“I'm here eating with my guy friends.” Darin says.

“Me too, but with my girlfriends.” Caroline says.

“You left your bracelet back at the restaurant. I wanted to return it to you.” Darin says as he gives back Caroline’s bracelet.

“That's so nice of you. Thank you.” Caroline smiles & says back to him.

Darin says, “i better let you get back to your girlfriends.”

Caroline says, “oh, right.”

“I’ll see you later tonight.” Darin says.

“Okay. bye.” Caroline says.

Darin walked away and left Caroline speechless looking at him lovingly. She was completely in love with him already. We were curious about what he meant about seeing her tonight. So we asked..

Jana asks Caroline, “where are you seeing him tonight?”

Caroline says, “i told him that we were going to be at the Hakkasan Nightclub at MGM Hotel tonight.”

Payton says, “but we aren't.”

“Then do you girls want to?” Caroline asks last minute.

“Well, we don't have any other choice but to go because you already promised him tonight.” Bailee says.

“Let's make the most of Vegas fun and exciting. isn't that why we’re here?” Jana says & asks.

Payton asks & says, “does that mean we are gonna party at a club every night? Cause i can't keep on doing this.”

Caroline says, “let's make the most of this trip together. We do only see each other every so often together.”

“Let's go hit up the mall and go shopping.” Bailee says excitedly.

Caroline’s POV.
For the next few hours, we walked around the entire Las Vegas strip shopping. We went into the M&M store, Hershey Store, Ross, and some designer stores to look at handbags. Before heading back to the hotel after shopping so much, we stopped by to get ice cream at that candy shop we hanged out that first night together.

[6:45PM]

After getting some ice cream, we walked across the street to watch the water show at the Bellagio Water Fountain. We stood there watching for a few minutes. It was so pretty and radiant. Then we headed back to the hotel. We took turns getting ready for the night. We were going to do what we did last night, dinner and club.

I went into the bathroom first to get ready. I didn't take as long as most days because i already knew what to wear that night. I came wearing a black off the shoulder dress that showed my abs and some cleavage, messy bed head hair, warm toned makeup, black strappy heels. I decided to do my own make up today and it turned out very nice. It was the most pretty party dress i've owned in my life and i finally get to wear it.

Then it was Jana’s turn. Jana didn't take as long as well. She came out of the bathroom wearing a very stylish black dress. There were straps wrapped around her neck and straps around her stomach area as well. It was definitely something Jana wouldn't wear but when she did, she looks stunning. She decided to straighten her hair tonight and it looked very natural down. She had glitter eyeshadow, a black winged eyeliner, and spread out lashes. She wore her black stiletto heels. It was very natural looking.

Next was Bailee. She wore a slim body black dress that was a little see-through around the cleavage and ab area. She paired it with a brown eye makeup, strappy black heels, and bed head hair too.

Lastly was Payton’s turn. She took extra long in the bathroom. After 25 minutes of being in there, she came out. She wore a ruffled long sleeve black romper that showed her cleavage and a bit of her sides. She wore black stiletto heels. Since she was too lazy to do her makeup, she got Jana to do it for her. Since Payton wanted glam makeup, Jana did a glitter with dark at the corners of her eyes, fake lashes, and bottom black eyeliner. She looked a bit mean but fabulous at the same time.

[8PM]

Payton’s POV.
When it struck 8pm and gotten ready all together, we walked over to Paris Hotel to eat dinner at the Eiffel Tower Restaurant. There weren't a long line to wait for our table so we got one right away when we got there. We decided to eat something more fancy since we are already here in Vegas just for a few more days. Caroline ordered something salmon, me and Jana ordered a steak, and Bailee ordered something seafood. Everything was delicious, nothing we ever ate in our life before. It was certainly the first because we don't get the chance to eat a really nice, fancy, overpriced, dinner before. It was worth the money though. We also got a nice view of Vegas while eating dinner too. After dinner, we headed over to the Hakkasan nightclub at MGM hotel. We spent the entire night and half a morning at the club dancing. We didn't get wasted like last night, just a few drinks here and there. For the entire night, we didn't see Darin Miller too (like he promised). I knew that Caroline was a bit upset that he didn't go to the club tonight.
