Chapter Sixteen

[Tanime’s POV]
“Park Jimin?” I frowned. Why would Jimin send me something? “What is it?” I asked.

“For that ma’am, you will have to open the door.” He responded.

“Oh, I’m sorry. Of course.” I opened my door. The delivery man stood there with a big box. I widened my eyes while observing the package. It came as high as my waist and was packed in blue wrapping paper with red ribbon and a bow on top. I wondered what could be inside.

“Please sign here.” The delivery man said, snapping me out of my thoughts.

“Y-yeah, sure” I signed for the package and dragged it inside to my living room.

Park Jimin, huh? I walked to my kitchen to get me a pair of scissors. I slowly removed the bow and cut the ribbon and the wrapping paper. I was just about to open the box, but then I stopped. I was so curious about the content, but I just couldn’t understand why Jimin would send me something. Maybe it’s a prank.. I thought to myself, thinking about his weird personality. But then again, I don’t know him that well yet. I looked at the box. Ah well, it can’t be that worse. I removed the tape and opened the box. The box had a big plastic bag with a big teddy bear inside. It was white and it had a black shirt on. I pulled the bear out of the bag and saw that it came with a card, there was something written on it:

Dear Tanime,
I want to give you this teddy bear, because I felt that you might need it. Not because I think you’re acting like a kid …, but because I know you’re basically on your own here and I guess you might feel lonely sometimes. So whenever you miss me (or miss your mom of course), please take this teddy and considers it as my replacement.
Also, me and the boys have a tight schedule this week, so I can’t watch drama with you. BUT you can watch with Teddy :D Anyways, I hope you like him. And I promise, he won’t pick up your phoneㅋㅋㅋTake care!
Yours sincerely,
Jimin
I was speechless. A small smile appeared on my face. How generous of him. I already started to feel a bit lonely knowing I won’t see him these upcoming days. I took the teddy bear and placed it on my bed.

“Welcome, Teddy” I smiled.

I felt happy for some reason. It’s been a long time since I got a present from someone. So I really appreciated this gift. Jimin showed me a side of him that I didn’t know. I jumped in my bed and tucked myself and Teddy in. I placed my arm around him and fell asleep.

The following week

Finally, it was Friday. The day that we were going to Music Bank. We were waiting in the Big Hit Entertainment lobby. While waiting my thoughts wandered back to my previous days. They were pretty boring. Jimin wasn’t around so I spent my evenings alone too. I can’t believe I got used to his company so soon already. I was thinking about texting him, but I felt a little bit awkward so I eventually decided not to do it. Luckily there was Hoon to hang out with.

It was almost 3 PM when suddenly a man came to us.

“Annyeonghassibnikka? Hoon, Wongdon, Nari, Minjun and Tanime, right?”

“Ne, annyeonghasseyo.” We said and stood up to bow.

“Great, please follow me. The van is waiting for us outside.”

The entire trip took us about an hour. I was getting pretty excited in the van, my stomach was turning upside down. The rest was having conversations about all kinds of things.

“Oppa, I heard Girls Generation unnie’s will be there too. Are you prepared to meet them?” Nari asked with a big smile. She was still kind of young. I think she was about 17, but she looked really mature. She was a natural beauty. Slim waist, smooth skin. She was the kind of girl people would stop and stare at.

“I’ve lived for this moment my entire life.” Minjun replied staring out of the window. Suddenly he turned around to face us. “Maybe one of you guys can make Tiffany trip when she walks by and then I will safe her”

“Err..” Wongdon started, but got interrupted by Minjun.

“It’s going to be magical.” He started fantasizing out loud. “She’ll be in my arms while we’ll stare into each other’s eyes. Then I’ll ask her ‘Are you okay?’ in my deep sexy voice, and then she-”

“Dude, you sound like a chick” Wongdon interrupted him. Minjun snapped out of his fantasy and we all laughed.

“Don’t worry, Minjun.” Nari patted his shoulder. “Maybe she’ll actually need you one day.”

“Thanks, Nari” Minjun responded with a little smile. “No problem.” She smiled, and as she turned towards us she shook her head as if he was a crazy person. I tried to hold in my laughter and looked outside again, only to see that we arrived at the complex. There was that weird feeling again in my stomach.

“Please, follow me.” The man from before said after he opened the door for us. The van dropped us right in front of the entrance. When we entered the building the atmosphere seemed chaotic, like at a market. There were a lot of people passing by, sometimes even running and multitasking at the same time. It was amazing. This was the world of show business. We all looked around in silence, impressed by everything we saw.

“Ah, you guys arrived. Quickly, come in.” Chi seonsaengnim said. Snapped out of our thoughts we turned around and entered the room. The room seemed like a small waiting room, it wasn’t that big. It had a TV, where we could follow the broadcast, and a couple of chairs. Just enough for us.

“Please sit down, everyone.” She paused for a moment waiting for us. “Today will be a very hectic day. You probably won’t notice that much because you will spent a lot of time in this room. But there will be some chances to get a taste of the atmosphere. One of our staff members will guide you around the studio.” Suddenly someone knocked on the door. She turned around.

“Yes, who is it?” she said.

Some tall guy came in with a stack of papers in his hand. He softly spoke to Chi seonsaengnim.

“Oh.. ne.” she put her fingers on her lip. The guy then walked out of the room again.

“Okay, guys. I have to do something, but I will back in a little while. Are there any questions so far?”

“Ne seonsaengnim?” I raised my hand.

“Yes, Tanime?”

“What is this?” I pointed to a bag underneath my chair. She squeezed her eyes a little to take a better look at the bag.

“Eomeo! These are BTS’s stage outfits.” She sighed. “They were in this room, before you guys came.” She explained. “They must’ve forgotten it.”

“Oh..” I said.

“Tanime, can you please bring this bag to their room?” Chi seonsaengnim suddenly asked.

“Eh, ne seonsaengnim” I answered and I stood up lifting the bag.

“Thanks, dear. They are in room 105. It’s the second section from here.”

“Ne.” I closed the door behind me.

[Hoon’s POV]
“Alright, yeoreobun. I’ll be right back okay. Please stay in this room until I come back.” Chi seonsaengnim said and then she also left.

“Maybe I should go help Tanime. Don’t you guys think?” I asked.

“With the bag, you mean? It’s not that heavy right? Plus it has wheels too.” Wongdon responded.

“No, I mean.. I don’t think it’s safe to send her out on her own.” I said. Wongdon lifted his eyebrow.

“I think you might be a bit confused. This is Music Bank, not the jungle.”

“That's not what I meant!”

“What's up then, Hoon?” Nari asked.

“Nari, you're a girl right? Wouldn't you be frightened to be alone with just boys?”

“Uhm...” she bit her lower lip trying not to laugh and looked around.

“Well?” I asked. She then looked at me again as if she had something to say. “What, what is it?” I frowned and looked at the other guys. “Oh… I see.”

She smiled. “Listen, Hoon. I don't think she needs help, but if you want to help her that bad just go. We won't mind.”

I was silent for a moment. The thought of Tanime going to BTS’s dressing room on her own drives me insane. Especially that Jimin guy. I didn’t like how he showed interest in her. No matter what she says, I won’t trust him.

“I'm sorry, I'll be back really quick.” I said and left.

[Jimin’s POV]
“Bba bba bba bba bbaaa.”

While looking at the TV screen I could hear someone coming in our dressing room.
“Bangtansonyeondan?”

“Ne?” Namjoon replied. I turned around

“Bba bba bba bba bba bba bbabbabba bbaa.”

“Eh, your stage performance will start in 60 minutes. Please make sure that you’re ready around that time.” A lady said.

“Okay, tha-”

“Bba bba bba bba bba bbabba bba!”

“Yaah, Hoseok! You’re too loud” Namjoon yelled. On the other side of the room Hoseok was practicing our choreography with Jin.

“Eo..” he turned around. “Joesonghabnida.” He bowed and began wisphering. Namjoon turned to the lady again.

“I’m sorry, we’ll make sure to be ready. Thank you.” He closed the door behind the lady after she left.

“Okay, guys you heard what the lady said.” He paused for a moment and looked around the room. There was me just sitting and watching TV. Jungkook and Taehyung sat next to me, but they were watching ‘Naruto’ on Kookie’s phone. Jin and Hoseok were practicing, and lastly Yoongi, or what seems to be him – I could only see his hair – was on the couch covered with his coat apparently sleeping.

“Or not..” Namjoon continued.

“Yah!” I yelled loudly. Everyone looked up. “Our dear leader has something to say.”

“Thank you, Jimin.” He frowned confused by my action. “We have to hit the stage in 60 minutes. It's time to prepare.”

Our door opened again. This time it was our manager.

“Manager-nim, they just asked us to prepare for our performance.” Namjoon said.

“Ah keuraeyo?” He asked. “Then it's time to call in the-”

“-wardrobe nuna's!” Taehyung yelled.

“Eh, yeah…” manager said. Taehyung made him feel all awkward. “I'll be right back and I will get the makeup artists too. Please start unpacking your stage clothes.” He turned around and left.

“Jimin, where did you put the bag?” Jin asked as soon as the door closed.

“Bag?” I asked. “Aish!” I immediately stood up. “I forgot it in the other room.”

“Babo.” Yoongi said in his husky, sleepy voice.

“Quickly go get it before manager-nim gets mad at us!” Jin said slightly panicking.

“Ugh, arasseoyo.” I stood up.

“Ppalli ppalli! Namjoon said hastily.

“Ne, ne.” I got out quickly.

I turned to the right in the hallway and looked for a sign. This place is way too big. I can’t even remember which room we were in. Well, it has to be on the same floor that’s for sure.I decided to just follow my instinct. Maybe if I walked in the same direction as the main stage I would have more chance to find the bag. After I passed a couple of other rooms I saw a sign with an arrow to the right on the wall. It said ‘main stage’. I looked to my right and saw a more crowded hallway. Between all the people I suddenly saw a familiar silhouette in the distance. As I looked more closely a smile appeared on my face. Tanime. Wait is she holding our bag? Suddenly I remembered. Manager-nim told us this morning that a couple of trainees would join us today. Whoa, who would think that Tanime would save my ass in a place like this?

“Tanime!”

She turned around. I frowned. Who’s that?

“Hoon?” she responded surprised.

Hoon!? Is that Hoon? I quickly hid myself behind a wall. I stuck my head out just enough to see what they were doing.

“I’ve been looking for you.” He said.

“Why?” she asked. Yeah, why?

“I thought you might needed some help with that bag” he reached out for the bag.

“Help?” she frowned. She stepped back a little to dodge him. “That’s really thoughtful of you Hoon, but I’m pretty sure I can do it myself.” she responded.

“I know, but girls shouldn’t be carrying heavy bags.” Pff, please.

“Okay, if you’re that worried.” She placed the bag on the floor and pulled out the handle. “See, I’ll no longer be carrying. I’ll just pull it.” She turned around to continue but was stopped by Hoon again.

“What Hoon?” I could hear annoyance in her voice.

“Tanime, listen. BTS will probably eat you alive. Just let me do it.” I lifted my eyebrow surprised by what I’ve just heard.

“Excuse me?” she seemed offended in a way. “I don’t have time for this.” She turned around and walked away.

“Tanime!” Hoon grabbed her by her arm now.

“Hoon, leave me alone!” she was yelling now. I think I will have to but in on this one. She pulled her arm away, but he was not taking no for an answer. I quickly moved away from the wall to help Tanime.

“I think the lady wants you to leave her alone.”

[Tanime’s POV]
“Tanime!” Hoon grabbed me by my arm.

“Hoon, leave me alone!” I pulled my arm away, but he was still very persistent.

“I think the lady wants you to leave her alone.”

That voice… I froze.

“Mind your own business. Who do you think you are!?” Hoon responded boldly.

*SLAP*

In an instant reaction I slapped Hoon.

“YAH, who do you think you’re talking to like that! That’s your seonbae!” I yelled at him. Hoon stared at me in shock.

“I was trying to protect her, but seems like you are the one who needs protection.” He chuckled.

“Agh, shut up” Hoon mumbled. He then looked at me.

“Hoon, this is GOT7’s Jackson.” I sighed. I found it hard to believe I just said those words. My heart was racing from disbelieve. I then turned around to face Jackson.

“Jackson ssi, please don’t mind him. Normally he’s not like this.” I bowed to him.

“Hey, no need to apologize. I think he has learned his lesson already.” He looked at Hoon. Hoon looked really embarrassed.

“I’ll leave first.” Hoon mumbled. He bowed and then left.

“Tanime ssi, right?” Jackson suddenly asked. OMG, he said my name.

“Ne.”

“Do you work here?” he asked.

“Oh no. I’m a trainee at Big Hit Entertainment.”

“Oh, really? Daebak!” he smiled. “Do you like it there?”

“So far, yes” I replied. I still couldn’t believe I was talking to my favorite idol. I was just hoping my cheeks didn’t turn red.

[Jimin’s POV]
J-Jackson!? Out of all people in this building, Jackson! Really!?

After he appeared I hid behind the wall again. Why did it have to become crowded at this moment? It became hard for me to follow their conversation.

“It was hard for me adjusting in the beginning” he said. “I missed to have someone to-” A group of people passed by loudly. Ugh, why.

I focused on Tanime again. She looked really mesmerized by his appearance. I’ve never seen her like that.

“You know what, if you ever need or just want to ask something, just contact me.” He said. What!? You’ve only just met.

“Jackson ssi, that’s so kind of you.” she blushed.

“No problem, do you have a piece of pa-”

“Tanime! There you are!” I yelled. They both turned their heads towards me.

"Jimin?" She looked surprised to see me. I slowly walked towards them observing every inch of Jackson. He smiled at me politely.

"What took you so long?" I asked her, completely ignoring Jackson.

"Uhm, I'm sorry." She looked confused. "I got held up on the way." She explained.

"Annyeonghaseyo, you're Jimin ssi right? From BTS?" Jackson bowed to show respect. Ugh, now I have to bow too.

"Ne," I bowed. "I'm sorry but…who are you?" Tanime's jaw dropped. I quickly took some distance from her before she could slap me.

"Ahh." Jackson looked slightly embarrassed. He rubbed his neck. "I'm Jackson from GOT7."

"Oh, annyeonghaseyo Jackson ssi. I'm sorry but we have to go now. It’s almost time to perform." I positioned myself purposely really close to Tanime. "Kaja?" I asked her in a soft tone.

"Ehh.." she hesitated.

"No problem. I have to prepare too. Good luck!" He bowed and then walked away. Before I could say something to Tanime he suddenly turned around and added "I hope to meet you soon again, Tanime." He then winked at her and finally left.
