Jooheon one shot

chapter 1

You nodded once to the man hidden along the street as you threw the black tarp over the small shipment of AK-47’s. You motioned for the loaded crate to be taken behind you and into your house. You would hide them later, not liking when others knew where your stash of weapons was.
As the two men walked the crates inside, you handed the money to the thin man whose face you had never seen. He continued to stay hidden in the shadows as you and he conversed.
“Pleasure doing business with you” he murmured as he counted out the bills.
“You are short $75” he alleged after he had flipped through the money.
“Bullshit. You know I counted that money myself” you told him shaking you head and not believing a word he was trying to say.
“We can work payment out a different way” he said and rubbed your shoulder. This made you feel slimy and you were done with him. Reaching up you grabbed his middle finger and yanked it to the side, breaking it in your anger. He yelled and held it in pain, mumbling about doing business with you no more.
“Stuff it” you said and spat at his feet. You knew he would be back. They always were.
As they left you heard a chuckle from somewhere behind you. If you hadn’t recognized the laugh, you would’ve been on edge. Either way, you reached for the small pistol you always had concealed on you.
“Don’t get worked up. You know it’s just me” Jooheon spoke as he emerged from the shadows.
“Can’t be too careful” you said, still not removing your hand from the small weapon. He smirked at you and sauntered over. You nodded for him to follow you into the house and he obliged.
Dropping your voices as the door closed, you spoke to Jooheon hurriedly.
“New shipment is in. Looks like two crates full”
“You’re in a good mood tonight” Jooheon joked, noticing you seemed scrambled.
“That guy makes me mad”
“So you broke his finger?” he asked; you didn’t respond.
“Take what you need” you motioned towards the crates full of guns.
“I wasn’t here to get weapons.” He told you. You didn’t dare look at him, but you felt your heart rate increase as you heard him stepping slowly closer to you. Crouching next to one of the crates, you began looking them over.
“They have to get to town one way or another.” You shrugged, noticing him closing the distance as he slowly walked towards you across the room. You counted the weapons in the crate in front of you, but you kept losing count. As he closed the distance, your hand closed around the hilt of a small knife that was sitting on a small table next to you. Jooheon didn’t notice, or didn’t care, as he continued to walk closer.
You stood up from counting the guns in the crate as he was nearly on top of you. When he reached out and grabbed your arm, you had your knife at his throat. It all happened so fast. Instead of being scared, he smiled. Standing there in a stale mate, you waited for him to make the next move. Wrapping his arms around you, you almost dropped the knife to the ground.
“Why do you play games like this?” he asked.
“These aren’t games, Jooheon.”
“Then why do you behave like a child?” he asked as he pushed past the knife you held loosely and pressed a passionate kiss to your lips. You dropped the knife in and instant as he picked you up and held you against the wall. Forgetting everything for a moment, you fell deeply into his kiss.
He pulled away panting and rested his forehead against yours.
“You should hide those weapons before you get found out.” He said in a low voice. You kissed him once more as he let you down.
“Leaving already?” you asked grabbing one of the crates and lifting it.
“Not if you don’t want me to” he shrugged. You laughed and left the room. He knew you would never admit that you liked it when he was here. He bit his lip and smiled again. You were so independent sometimes and it drove him mad.
That night, you were lying in bed, almost asleep, when you heard something stumble outside your window. Your eyes snapped open as you listened. Without making any noise at all, you grabbed a small pistol that always lay right under your pillow. You made no other movements as you listened for more telling sounds.
Sure enough, just as you expected it, you heard your front door’s lock being picked and opened. You got out of bed and hid behind the bedroom door. Whoever was here, was sure to be looking for you.
You heard three sets of footsteps silently making their way towards your room, you heard the low mumbling voices and didn’t recognize any of them. They didn’t seem to be worried about taking you by surprise, assuming you would be no match for three of them.
Anyone who knew you wouldn’t be dumb enough to sneak into your house.
Barely breathing, you heard them get closer. You watched as your door creaked open. You let them get fully in the door before you snaked an arm around their neck roughly and held on, pressing the gun to their temple.
“Tell your men to get out of here or I will spread your brain all over my floor” you grumbled in their ear. You were small, but anyone can be intimidating when holding a gun to someone’s head.
“Easy there, we just want to…” he began to explain but you cut him off by quickly shooting a hole in the wall directly over his head. The gun was back to his temple before he could even react.
“You were saying?” you asked through clenched teeth. You felt his pulse quicken as you still held his neck, adjusting your hold, it grew tighter.
“ok- ok! We will leave!” he said holding his hands up.
“They leave first” you told him as you motioned for his friends that had not entered the room.
“You heard her! Out!” he yelled at them. You heard them retreat back out the front door, and loosened your grip a bit.
“You have three seconds to get out of my house” you released him and backed away still aiming the gun between his eyes. He made a move like he was turning to walk to the front door that he had entered through, but you saw the bulge of a pistol on the side of his hip and as he reached for it you took two shots.
You only needed one.
He fell to the floor with a thud as the blood splattered on your bedroom wall behind where he was standing a moment before. Letting out a shaky breath, you walked over and began searching the body for things that would be useful to you. There was large chunk of cash in his pocket, as well as the nice pistol that he had been carrying. You looked it over in you had and decided it would sell for some good money.
“Y/n?” you heard Jooheon’s voice as he entered your house. He sounded alarmed as he ran for your open bedroom door. Once in the door, he looked from the dead body, to you crouching next to the dead body and sighed with relief. You seemed unhurt.
“I thought I heard gun shots”
“Wonder why…” you said sarcastically as you stood up and motioned to the mass at your feet.
“Did he have anything good on him?” Jooheon asked as he nudged the dead man with his foot.
“Nothing much”
“Looks like you have another body to help me hide” you meekly chuckled.
“Yeah... another one…” he said offhandedly.
“Let me just get clothes on…” you said. Your adrenaline was leaving your body now, making your hands shake. Jooheon noticed this and walked over to you.
“Just come back with me for the night. I can have someone take care of this” he offered, gesturing to the mess over his shoulder.
“No way. It’s my mess and I don’t let anyone clean it up for me” you walked to your closet and grabbed out some pants and a shirt throwing it on in a hurry.
“It is alright to trust some people” he said quietly.
“Oh yeah, this way they know your weaknesses…” you grumbled.
“Not everyone will use your weaknesses against you” Jooheon tried to reason. You looked at him through your messy hair and didn’t quite believe him.
“Just help me carry this guy to the woods and you can be on your way” you told him as you crouched and grabbed this man’s right arm. Jooheon grabbed the left and hoisted him up. He was surprisingly light.
“If you think I am leaving you alone now you are wrong” Jooheon said making you way out the back door. There were woods out here and no one ever bothered to search them. Many people had hidden things in these woods they didn’t want anyone to know about.
“Slow down” he said as you booked it into the woods.
“In case you hadn’t noticed we are carrying dead body. We should hurry” you said but slowed down when you heard him sigh with pain.
“Your back hurt?” you turned and looked at him unable to hide the concern.
“You sound like you care about me for a moment there” he smiled but kept walking forward.
“I would shoot you just as easily” you tried to say. He knew you were lying.
You made it to an old oak tree that lined a flowing river. Dropping the body over the side, you watched as it rolled into the ravine below. You couldn’t see it through the darkness, and it was going to be washed miles down the river by the end of the night. If there was anything left of it.
Walking back to the house you and Jooheon remained silent. Guards would start coming out soon for their midnight rounds. Almost rounding a corner, Jooheon pulled you back into himself. He covered your mouth and held you into his chest. You didn’t struggle, you knew he would only act like this if there was something he saw.
Sure enough, a group of guards walked right by where you and he stood undetectable. Remaining silent and not moving, you barely breathed. He held you close as he felt you shaking. You always got like this after you killed someone.
When the coast was clear, he walked you back to your place, sneaking in the back door. Walking to your room, you paused when you saw the blood stain on the wall.
“Have to clean that in the morning” you said with a shaky breath. Jooheon came over and stayed your shaking hand as you pulled the covers up to get into bed.
“Just come stay at my place tonight” he told you softly.
“Its fine- I’m fine” you told him. He wrapped his arms around you in a hug and held you close. He knew you were never fine. Killing someone was never something you enjoyed, but it seemed necessary. You could never show weakness, when in reality, you felt nothing but weak.
You openly sobbed on his shoulder. He sat on the bed with you and held you, allowing you to let out all your emotions as every single person you had killed came flooding back to you. It was like a curse.
“You shouldn’t be here tonight” he offered as he stood you up and rushed you past the blood stain.
“Wait- I need weapons” you told him.
“You are with me. You don’t need a weapon” he told you as he opened the door for you. You exited and shivered, not because of the cold.
A few days went by and you were back at your place. The walls had been cleaned off and you were feeling back to normal. You were disassembling one of the AK-47’s you had acquired, wanting to make sure you could assemble and disassemble one in under a minute and a half. You were almost there.
“Y/n?” Joohoen called as he answered the door. He looked into the small sitting room where he saw you sitting on the floor surrounded by weapons.
“Just the man I wanted to see” you told him as he closed the door behind himself quickly.
“Why?” he asked as his glanced around at the scattering of weapons on the floor.
“Help me disassemble some of these. I need to make sure they all work” you told him and handed him a gun.
“Careful, some are loaded” you told him off handedly. He loved it then you were in your element surrounded by deadly things. You looked so sexy to him, sitting there in a large t shirt and short pajamas bottoms. He couldn’t hide a smile.
He sat down next to you and slowly began disassembling the weapon. By now, you were onto your second rifle and he hadn’t even gotten started.
“A little rusty aren’t we?” you teased, watching him fumble.
“Don’t give me a hard time. This one is loaded” he said as he popped out the ammunition and handed it to you.
“Idiots. Don’t they know they can sell ammunition separately?” you shook your head. These guys were novices.
“Why did you want to see me exactly?” he asked finally getting the hang of the weapon. It had been a while.
“You know that uprising that is supposed to happen in the west?” you asked, dropping your voice.
“Yes” he answered.
“They need weapons, but they need a lot. They would exhaust my stores if I gave them what they needed so this is where you come in” he nodded as you continued.
“There is a tradesmen meeting tomorrow night, and I can’t go by myself” you told him.
Tradesmen meetings were a gathering of black market dealers selling weapons to the highest bidder. Being a woman, you naturally wouldn’t be taken seriously. Not to mention, your safety would be at a risk the moment you walked in the door unaccompanied.
“You pull the strings and I will be your puppet” Jooheon finished for you. He had played this game before.
“Exactly.” You watched as he fumbled putting the gun back together.
“We need to get you used to guns again before we go” you shook your head at him. He smiled at you.
The rest of the night you and he practiced taking apart weapons of all kinds and putting them back together. He got the hang of it again, quickly.
“Can you still assemble of these things blindfolded?” he asked holding up the gun he had newly learned his way around. You reached out for it and slowly ran your hands along it.
“Maybe…” you were unsure.
“Let’s try” you agreed, genuinely curious. Joohoen took the gun apart and then took his shirt off. You felt yourself blush before you could stop yourself. He tied the shirt around your eyes and lay the pieces of the gun in front of you.
“I’ll be counting” he said playfully.
You reached down and felt for the main part of the weapon, followed by the next piece you would need. You felt Joohoen creep over to sit behind you.
“Don’t distract me” you told him and laughed.
“Just making sure you have the right pieces.” He whispered into your ear.
“Don’t worry. I do” you said moving on having the gun half way complete by now.
“I love it when you use your hands” he said knowing this would throw you off. You dropped the metal piece you were holding and heard it roll away.
“Joohoen! You made me mess up!”
“Doesn’t matter. I like you blindfolded” he said and pushed you onto the floor. In a split second he was on top of you kissing your neck. You moaned as you took the blindfold off. The gun you were supposed to be assembling long forgotten.
