“I’m telling you, this is ridiculous. This shit won’t work”Seunghyun said to him. He was getting really annoyed with his friend, but Youngbae simply shrugged.“The ‘Haaaaave you met Ted?’ is a classic move, man. There’s no way we can get it wrong! I’ll just introduce you two and you charm her with whatever the hell women find you attractive for. But don’t talk about waffles, I’m warning you, it’s a lady boner killer”Youngbae patted his friend’s back, but Seungri just groaned with impatience.

“Kill me. You can choose the weapon, just kill me now”Seunghyun said, certain that the cheesy pick up line wouldn’t be effective in such a beauty like yourself. However, Youngbae insisted. “I can’t stand you anymore man, you are cranky and miserable. I’m doing this for me as well, I can’t hear you talking about this girl anymore. The time to talkabouther is gone, now you talktoher” he said with a pointed finger to Seungri.
Before he could protest, Taeyang was already finding his way amongst the party guests towards you. You felt a tap on your shoulder and your friends eyed with hunger whoever was behind you. You turned around and there stood Youngbae. You greeted him cheerfully, he was always nice to you.“Hey, uhh... Y/N, I wanted to ask you something”he said. You looked at your friends and they exchanged looks, encouraging you without words to go with him.
Ah, what the hell. Maybe if you went with him your friends would let you be, you thought to yourself. They were always teasing you that you needed to get out there, let loose, meet more guys. You didn’t feelthatway about Taeyang, but if you could use him to make them shush, so be it.
“Sure, what is it?”you asked him and he motioned for you to follow him. He opened his way through the party-goers, making small talk and avoiding the subject. When he reached the hallway, he stopped, bumping into some guy he knew. Wow. His friend was really hot.

“Hey, Y/N, have you met Seungri?”Youngbae asked with a hand around his friend, who seemed slightly uncomfortable, but before you could answer he took off, leaving you and the handsome stranger alone. You blinked, suddenly shy amidst the awkward situation. You looked at him and smiled, trying to be nice, but he avoid your gaze.

You were thinking about excusing yourself and leave, but he offered you his hand. “Hi, I’m Seunghyun. But my friends call me Seungri”he said and you noticed he was a bit shy. You didn’t know what but you found that extremely cute. Recovering your confidence you smiled again and looking him in the eye, you said: “Hi, Seungri. I’m Y/N.”
After that, the discomfort you initially felt vanished, little by little, as you talked to Seungri all night long. He seemed more confident now and you two spoke freely about a range of topics and you found out you had a lot in common. You now found yourself talking about waffles.
“I can’t trust someone who doesn’t enjoy breakfast food. Waffles are sacred!”you said and he nodded vigorously. “Right? That’s what I’m always saying!”he laughed and you admired the captivating way his eyes squinted, making the little adorable puffs under it more noticeable. You took a sip from your cup, suddenly feeling hot.

“Okay, I have a question”he said, gesturing with his hands as he talked. He was oddly into the breakfast food topic but you found it very interesting. “Waffles or pancakes?”he looked at you eagerly as you thought about the answer. “Well, I like pancakes, but I think I’ll go with waffles. They’re sacred after all”you grinned and he seemed appalled by your answer.
“You’re perfect”he said quietly, looking at you in a way that made you feel your cheeks starting to burn. You giggled, a little embarrassed but feeling butterflies in your stomach with his compliment. “You’re not bad yourself”you said, smirking and looking at him. He analyzed you for a few seconds and the chemistry between you two was evident.
He licked his lips and you bit yours. “I’d love to take you out for breakfast”he said, an eyebrow slightly arched. You looked at your wrist watch. “Well, in a few hours I think you can”you said, realizing it was almost 6 am. “What if we could go to a waffle store now?”he asked and you tilted your head, curiosity and excitement growing inside you.
“Does this involve breaking and entering?”you asked, putting your cup away and crossing your arms. He smiled and you knew you’d have to find out the hard way.

He parked his car right in front of the waffle store. As you got out of the vehicle, you noticed that the lights were on and employees walked around inside, busy with the preparations for breakfast time. The place was charming and you peeped inside, noticing the “closed” sign on the door. Ah, too bad. You were too early, you thought. But maybe you could kill some time in the small park nearby while you waited for the place to open.
But before you could voice your thoughts, Seungri placed a hand on your back, guiding you to the entrance. You looked confused at him but you let yourself be conducted to the door and as you walked, one of the employees opens up the door. You looked at Seunghyun confused. “How did you do that?”you asked, surprised. He shrugged and stuttered: “Well, I... I’m kinda... friends with the owner?”He said it as more than a question, which you found very odd.
You stepped inside and a friendly man with a round face, rosy cheeks and a strange looking toupee greeted you. He was wearing a tag indicating he was the manager. But his words caught your attention more than his funny appearance.
"Hey boss, a bit early to go over the books.... Ohhh! You're on a daaaate???"he said, noticing you for the first time and smiling widely. The manager guided you to, according to him, the best seat in the house and chatting away about his boss and saying that it was the first time he ever brought a girl to the restaurant and how he was always worried about his boss being single and finishing up by saying “Order anything you’d like, on and off the menu! Anything for the boss’ girlfriend”while handling you the menu and walking away happily while shouting to the staff in the kitchen that Mr. Lee had brought a girl over to the restaurant. You heard people cheering inside as you sat there motionless, very intimidated by all of it.
You looked at Seungri as he sat down across from you and he had a “kill me now” expression written all over his face. You just started laughing, and couldn’t stop for a long time, not until your belly started to hurt.
“Go on, I’m going in the kitchen to check on the waffles”you said, standing up. You went to the waffle iron and carefully got the last batch, putting them on a plate. You made sure none of them was burnt, after all, waffles are sacred in this household. You grabbed the coffee pot on your way out, you knew a refill would be needed.
You placed everything on the table with a content smile. Youngbae reached for a waffle and served your little girl next to him. He was the best choice for a godfather, you thought to yourself. She smiled merrily with her cheeks full of waffles, like a chubby chipmunk. You ruffled your son’s dark hair before sitting down and you noticed how he looked more and more like his father.

Seungri offered you his hand and you squeezed it as he talked, serving him more coffee with your free hand. He was just finishing your favorite story in the whole world.“So kids... That’s how I met your mother.”He looked at you with adoring eyes.“A year later after I brought her over to the restaurant, I asked her to be my waffle-wedded wife”your husband said with a smile before gently pecking on your lips. Your two kids and their godfather made disgusted sounds as you two kissed.
