Dream(Joshua x Reader)

I could feel the tears start to well up in my eyes.

"idiots" I gave my phone a sad smile as I slowly hugged it.

The Seventeen members really do care about me.

I-I cant ignore this anymore!

I stepped out of the dorm, trying to find privacy.
"Hmmm, the practice room is open now" I suggested to myself as I headed my way back to the practice room.

After some minutes of walking, I locked myself inside one of the empty practice rooms.

I decided to use the one that is sound proof. That way, no one is spying on my conversation.

Taking my phone up, I dialed the number and called without wasting one more second.

I could hear it ring through my ear.

Impatient, I started to tap my fingers on the table.

"Hello" the voice echoed through my ear.

"Hello, this is (Y/N)" I greeted the person.
"Oh good evening! How is everything going?"
"Spare yourself Manager" I snapped.

"Okay, lets just skip the sweet talk I guess."

"Maybe we should. We need to talk"

"I agree" the manager answered, sounding pretty mad.

"Let me go to a more quiet place"
After some seconds, he talked to me again.
"Okay, let me just say something" the manager said in a pretty scary tone.
Preparing for the worst, I shut my eyes.
"I thought I made it clear that you would cut all contact with Seventeen"
"I did manager!"
"Then why are they so unfocused on their work! They made plenty of mistakes during the Weekly Idol!"
"How is that my fault?!" I raised my voice.
"You did something!!" The manager snapped, starting to yell at me.
It caught me off guard, and startled me.
My body started to shake in fear.

"I-i did nothing. If you want proof, just ask the members"
"They get suspicious then" he defended himself.

"They already are" I smirked.

"What do you mean?" he asked confused.
"I got a text from everyone today. Saying that they miss me, and t- that they worry about me" I explained as I started to get emotional of the guilt.
"That doesn't mean that they are suspicious!" he raised his voice again.
"Dino assumed that you were mixed into this" I smiled to the phone.

"H-how?"
"Don't ask me, But I putting an end on all this."
"What do you mean (Y/N)? Are quitting?"
"No, I am not, but remember. The maknae is always the genius." I smiled as I ended our call.
I looked at my hand that held the phone.
It was shaking like crazy.

"He is not going to control my life anymore."

Determinate, I took up my phone again and dialed another number.
As the ringtone slowly filled my ear.
The feeling of being scared and fear slowly started to build inside me.
"Hello?" the voice answered.
"L-long time no see Dino" I tried to stay calm.
"(Y/N)?!" he asked shocked.
"What (Y/N)?!" I heard in the background.
"Hey, Can I put you on speaker?" Dino asked me exited.
"S-sure"
"Hey (Y/N)!!" I could hear everyone greet me.

Just to listen to their voices started to get me emotional.

"H-hi guys" I tried to sound cheerful.

The guys started to talk all in one, so I couldn't hear anything that was said.

"G-guys! One at the time!" I could hear S.coups yell.

Suddenly it was quiet.

"(Y/N)? Are you there?" Joshua's gentle voice filled my ear.
"mhm" I hummed in response, covering my mouth with my hand, trying not to cry. Which was a failure.

"Hey Smileyface? Are you there?" DK's sounded worried.
"Yeah" I answered, feeling my voice give in.
"A-are you maybe... crying?" Mingyu asked.
I sniffed to prevent to get runny nose, which was an answer to Mingyu's question.
"H-hey Shua! You should talk to her!!" Seungkwan insisted as he acted in panic.
"Me why?" Joshua asked surprised.
"You know her best, right?" Woozi answered as the quiet air filled the phone.

"I am sorry" I started to apologies.
"Calm down (Y/N)" Joshua's voice echoed.
"Can you tell us what's going on?" he asked afterwards.
"H-hey Josh! Let her relax" Vernon started to panic.
"No, it is okay Vernon" I answered before anyone could talk.
As I was taking a deep breath in, I could hear another voice in the room.

"Who are you talking to?"
Scared in shock, I covered my mouth with my hand and listen closely.

"Hello Manager" I could hear Hoshi greet him.

Quickly, I drew my phone away from my ear, scared about what they talked about.
But still, I could hear them talking.

"Who were you talking to?" he asked with his kind voice.
There were silence there for a while before anyone spoke up.
"Why should we tell you that?" Dino said coldly.

"Hey Dino! That is not how you talk to our manager!" S.coups started to yell at him.
That was it!
I ended the call, got up and ran out of the building.
I had enough!
I couldn't do nothing anymore.
