He's My Only One 2

{Kimma’s POV}

"Hey Kimma! I'm back! Ready for our date?" MinJae says as he walks towards the counter of the coffee shop.

"Alright, I get off in 5 minutes. Can you wait for just that long?" I ask as I start to take my apron off.

"Sure, take your time,” he says with a smile. I feel my heart skip a beat and I turn around quickly.
What the hell was that?!

I walk towards the back and grab my bag. I take my cellphone out and turn it on to see 4 missed calls and some text messages from Jungkook. I roll my eyes and turn off my phone.
I should have just deleted his number.

I walk back towards MinJae but I'm blocked off by my boss.

"You did an excellent job today Kimma! Well, besides that incident earlier today. But besides that, you did great! Can you come to work everyday until your school starts, and then just come on the weekends to work? Is that fine with you?" My boss says.

"Sure! I'm fine with that", I say with a smile. He smiles and shakes my hand as he starts to close up his coffee shop.

"Ready?" MinJae says as I walk towards him. I nod and say, "I can only be out for a little while though. I have a curfew," He chuckles and says, "and you still have that curfew too. Is it still at 11:15?"

"Yep. I can't believe you still remember that", I say as he opens the door for me to exit first.
"Of course I remember. Why wouldn't I?" He says as we walk side by side on the sidewalk.
"I don't know,” I say and trail off.

He seems like the same MinJae from when I first met him.

Maybe he has changed back to the old MinJae?

"So it's getting close to summer, do you have any plans?" He asks.

"Hmm maybe. I'm thinking about leaving and visiting my friends back in America."

"Have you thought about moving back to America?... And living back with me?" He says and I halt.

Living with MinJae?? Going back to America to live with him??

Is he insane?!

I start to fake laugh and say, "Wow you're funny MinJae. You still got that humor,"

"I'm serious", he says as he completely faces me.

Now that I think about it, it's really rare to see him serious like this.

He gazes at me and gives me a soft smile.

"I told you I changed Kimma. I've went through a lot back home without you. Living without you made me realize that... I actually, have fallen in love with you,” he says as he holds my hands.

I feel my heart starting to race as I process the words he's just said to me.

MinJae has said he loved me before, but he was never serious when he said it... But now, he's completely facing me and looking at me as if I'm the only thing he can see right now.

"I-I'm sorry MinJae, but you broke me down. I don't think I can-"

He puts his finger to my lips and says, "shhh I know. You probably hate me, but at least give me another chance? I have to make it up to you somehow."

I remove his hand from my face and say, "I don't hate you."

His eyes widen slightly and I say, "but that doesn't mean I love you either. I can maybe start to think of you as a friend, but right now you're more of just an acquaintance."

He nods his head slightly and says, "alright. Well let's start this off with some fun, right?"
I nod my head and he takes my hand in his, pulling me forward.

We spend 30 minutes playing at the arcade, and at the pizza place next door eating pizza.

The whole time, we acted like we were a couple, Minjae continuing to hold my hand, acting like we never separated all along.

He takes me home early and I unlock my front door with my house keys.

"Thanks for today", I say as I give him a small smile.

"Anytime", he says as he kisses my forehead.

My heart... I feel like it's breaking right now... But out of, happiness maybe?
