Rachel opened her eyes slowly despite her anemic condition and look around with only her eyes, and everything obscure. She cannot see much because of the brightness of the light beam at her. Only she can feel that she is on a moving bed. Before she close her eyes again, she could see Young Do looking at her worried, he said something but she couldn't ever detect anything, then she fall for a long sleep.
Jae Suk walk faster in the hospital corridor, straight to the emergency room. There, he saw Young Do and Jung Seo stand worriedly outside the room. He and Mr. Jae Bum approached them.
“What happen to my love?”
“Calm down, uncle. We still don't know the result. Rachel and my friend did not get out yet.”
Jae Suk sigh, he cannot feel his legs anymore and he suddenly fall to the ground. Young Do, Jae Bum and Jung Seo assist him to sit on the chair given. Everyone waiting patiently, for the doctors came out and tell them, the condition of the two.
Not long after, the emergency light turn off and the door slide open. Everyone come close to the doctor in charge that just walk out from the emergency room that instant. Jae Suk beseech explaination from the doctor,however the doctor can still give the crowd calm expression on his face.
He smile before he spoke, “ The patients are stable but they still unconscious. My nurses will transfers them to their own ward. You all can visit them tomorrow. For now, let them rest.” he assured them before looking for each guardian.
“I am their guardian.” Jae Suk quickly introduce himself.
“If that so, let's follow me to my office, we need to have private talk.”
“Why you don't to say here. We would want to know too.”
“Kids, let me settle this first, I will inform you in advanced.” Jae Suk give them his promised before left with the doctor.
Young Do, Jung Seo and Mr. Jae Bum wait infront of the emergency room, waiting for their friends come out. Young Do sigh heavily, he cannot hide how frustrated he was when he saw two person that he care about lie unmoving at the gym. Jung Seo loyally stayed beside him and coaxed his friend. He too, kind of regret because did not quickly answer the phone when Chun Ji call. They stay there silently until Chun Ji and Rachel come out with the nurse. They follow them side by side to make sure nothing bad happen again to any of them.
In the doctor office, the doctor seriously writing something at his desk, Jae Suk opposite of him and they being separate by the desk. Jae Suk wait calmly until the doctor settle his work. Few minutes later, the doctor close his report, open another one and looking at the elder infront of him.
“About both patients,..” Jae Suk suddenly eagerly want to know what actually happen to his daughter. “As written here, and according to my check up on both of them,..” corrected his glasses. “They were beaten badly by hard tools and human power.” he could see Jae Suk look tremendously shock till he cannot speak. “As result, the girl, got rupture at her left leg, and some bruises on her body and face. The boy, in the mean time, got bruises and wound at his face, his stomach and chest. Not including his backbone that need to monitored continuosly to ensure his health. Both of them actually.”
“How,.. why?..” Jae Suk startled and can never say anything after hear all of these.
“Do not worry sir. We will do our best to make sure they will be in good shape again.” Jae Suk stood and reach his hand and shaking the doctor's hand. To express how thankful he is to the doctor that have save his daughter. He smile nicely to Jae Suk and bow down before him before Jae Suk left the room.
Outside the room, Jae Suk come out with thousands questions, but one he strongly wanted to know the most, what actually happen to them? He left to his daughter ward, to assure her conditions.
Young Do and Jung Seo fall asleep on the couch at Mingyu's ward. They seem exhausted after busying save people life this evening. They sleep soundly, ignoring the patient who need a total rest. Thanks to the anaesthasia that been injected to Mingyu, so he would not react to the disturbance that his own friends create.
Then let's the night be peace before they know the truth from Mingyu and Rachel themselves. About what exactly happen at the gym this evening.
Chun Ji open his eyes slowly. First thing he saw is the white ceiling and smell medicine all over the room. He try to move his body but then he realised the wire that being all over his body. Not to mention he is on oxygen mask. Slowly he reach his hand to open the mask to feel more comfortable. He press the button to signal the nurse that he need something.
Within a minute, the nurse enter with a doctor. The sudden entrance wake the duo whom still in their dreamland. They both fall on the floor and groan painfully. They rubbed their back before get through what just happen. They saw Chun Ji awake and half sit on the bed. He look at them and give them a little smile that he can afford.
Quickly they get up and running to Chun Ji. Wait till the doctor and nurse left, before they console with their friend. The doctor check his blood pressure, heart beat, eyes, pulse and everything. After record everything he need, the doctor left the room. The nurse keep it up shortly after the doctor left after, re-organize what she need to do.
After the door close, Young Do and Jung Seo look at Chun Ji with question look. Chun Ji watch them before open his mouth to speak. “How's Rachel doing?”
The guys shuddered the shoulder as the did not come out with information about Rachel. “We just awake. We do not being inform about Rachel condition.” Jung Seo speak up.
“Poor her. She endure everything by herself.” he said gloomily. Jung Seo look at Young Do as he do the same towards him. Then they turn their head to Chun Ji.
“Dude, what happen at the gym when we were gone?” this time, Chun Ji shuddered.
“Rachel and I got beaten up Yoo Hwan friends, Jung Shin and MinHyuk. He and his friends beat me up till I be like this.” they frowned.
“What the hell?!!!!” Young Do cannot control his temper and left the room.
“Jung, look up Young Do for me. I think he will come up with something bad.” Jung Seo nodded instantly and left Chun Ji alone. He still fragile because just awake, so Chun Ji took decision to take a nap. He really hope that nothing worst happen to Young Do.
Young Do arrive at school with Jung Seo. He park his car quickly, get out from it and went into the school. Jung Seo followed him, prevent him to do something not to good to whoever he meet next.
With his panther-like-eyes, he search thorough the hall to find someone. Looking at the time, he knows that now is lunch time, seeing the crowd that walking to the cafe. But he cannot lose hope to settle everything today.
Feel like luck on his side, he saw Yoo Hwan passing him, with his group. Young Do instantly pull Yoo Hwan to face him and punch him on his face. Yoo Hwan step backwards and hit the locker behind him. His hand touching where he got hit and looking at Young Do angrily. He strike on him but Young Do quickly avoid it, and land another kick to his stomach. Everyone in the hall shock when they fight. Jung Shin and MinHyuk lend their help to beat Young Do while Yoo Hwan still taken aback after got hit twice. Opportunely, Jung Seo arrive and give a hand to fight with the duo. Krystal scream when Young Do almost bump her when got kick by Min Hyuk, but Young Do deflect her and hit the floor instead.
The fight goes on not so long when the teachers come to interrupt. They call for securities to bring everyone that involve to the principal office.
When they being investigate by the disciplinary committee, Yoo Hwan and his group immediately accuse Young Do attack them first. Young Do can only hold his fist furiously. They act that they done nothing to Rachel and Chun Ji yesterday. Jung Seo calm him down by pat on his shoulder.
“Why are you attack them, Mr. Han?” one of the committee whom ally with Krystal's parents questioning him.
“I demand a thorough investigation about what happen to Chun Ji and Rachel yesterday at the gym.” everyone look confuse. They whisper with each other.
“Now stop.” the principal command and the room become quiet again. “We still going through the security camera, and we found the scene from certain time being missing from the record. We need more time.” Young Do notice Yoo Hwan and his group smirking and glare at him.
“If that so, the Gangnam police will take charge from here.” Suddenly Mr. Song, Chun Ji's dad enter the room. Now it is Young Do and Jung Seo turn to smile happily, looking how nervous their opponent are.
The principal and the committee of the board stand immediately and almost the same time when the head officer come in.
With strict expression on his face, Mr. Song assured that his team will collect every evidence to complete the cases. “If I caught anyone of you in this board involve, and hide the evident...” the principal gulping when he look straight into the head officer eyes. “I won't hesitate to charge that person with heavy punishment.” The committee of the disciplinary board nodded quickly and ask to help Chun Ji's father in any course. Later the meeting end, Young Do and Jung Seo feel contented after all their effort to come to the school just paid amazing.
They have a talk with Mr. Song before both of them walk out to his car and drive away from the school, towards the hospital where Chun Ji and Rachel get their treatment. Young Do and Jung Seo cannot wait to tell Chun Ji that breathtaking outcome.
