12. Jimin X Margaux?

"Well, this is your first time interacting with another Sonyeoniq member. Good luck, pal." Taehyung gave a friendly pat on Jimin's back with a laugh as he shook his head.

This just means the fanfiction is not a ChaemChim one but rather an odd pairing. . . Jimin X Margaux? It's a bit of a shocker since the two idols had never interacted with each other and there was never a chemistry bond between them on and off-cam. Perhaps the fanfiction was well written? The storyline must've been so good it has beaten any other nominated ChaemChim fanfictions. Or the writer loves a bizarre pairing— attracting more readers? Either making sense, Yri couldn't help herself but just grumble in frustration towards her bias.

"It's okay, Min, there will always be tomorrow." Jungkook gave the other maknae a warm smile and proceeded to mess her hair up lightly and in a jokingly manner.

"Am I involved in the scene?" Yoongi asked, still his eyes fixed on his laptop; might be working on his mixtape again.

"I don't know, I'll just tell you guys later after I finished reading."

The almost distressed Yri finally stood up, still feeling the weights on her shoulders as she packed her things up with all her remaining strength.

"Going so early?" Taehyung asked with a baffled face but quickly stood up to help Yri with her bag.

Yri nodded lightly, barely even a bright response, as she strapped on her bag, "Yup, I have to discuss this with my sisters." And by 'sisters', she meant to say her co-members.

"Alright, we're going with you." Taehyung smiled, hoping for Yri to cheer up at least for a bit but it seems like nothing's working well so he turned to look at his other members, asking silently for opinions until they all have shared a common look— this might be caused by the fanfiction.

The boys waved goodbye at Yri and in return, Yri waved back but with less effort, most unlikely not even smiling behind a dimlit background. As soon as Yri has stepped inside their dorm, Lili was the first one to greet her with a tight hug.

Yri winced in confusion as she hugged her back, "Umm. . . I've just been gone out for like only a couple of hours?"

Lili released from the embrace and proceeded to pat her back with a faint smile, "Yri, if you're going on a hard time now, always remember that we're just here for you, okay?"

"Hm?" Yri raised an eyebrow but her eyes seemingly want to drop down on the floor.

"We've read your post." Margaux spoke.

Yuki exhaled as she crossed her arms, maybe reluctant to act like she actually cares, "It's no big deal, really."

Yri smirked as she laid down her bag and hopped onto her bed, planting her face straight on a huge soft pillow.

"I don't want to ruin our image," she muffled, face still buried on the large cotton.

Wouldn't be completed without, Inna then sat down beside Yri as she gently patted her back, voice obviously being spoken while smiling.

"You don't have to worry— they're okay with it now. Hanwoo PD Nim has already taken legal action against the haters and netizens."

Hearing their CEO Manager's name, Yri was about to burst out crying but she bit her lip and scrunched her face underneath, trying not to let it out.

"How about the charts?" Yri asks as she wants to divert their topic into something else.

"We're on the top with a total of 87.6% votes and Bonita is currently on the fifth place." Margaux answered with a big and satisfied smile on her face as she lunged down beside Yri only to shake her up.

"Hey, why are you so gloomy?"

Instead of sitting up and answering the question or going for a small chitchat, she just turned to her side and covered her face with a slightly larger pillow.

"I'm not feeling well."

The other members shared a common look as they all tilted their heads in confusion.

"Is this because of the incident?" Liki asked worriedly, "Inna has already said it— the fans are fine now and Hanwoo PD-nim did a legal action."

Yri just heaved a deep sigh, "No, it's not about that."

The girls once again looked at each other, silently asking for opinions with their eyes narrowed.

"Then what's bothering you so much?"

Their maknae didn't respond for a moment, until she has finally sat up, crouched onto her on weight and arms wrapped around her legs with a broken smile on her face.

"You know our TV Show will be on Friday, right?"

They all nodded in unison and leaned forward, ready to listen for more.

Yri closed her eyes and deeply exhaled, "The most voted fanfiction is a BangtanXSonyeoniq fanfic."

"What's wrong?" Yuki asked in a blunt tone but honestly, she tried to sound more symphatetic.

"You're finally going to act with Park Jim—"

"No, the fanfiction is mainly about Mar and Jimin."

Before the members could even voice out their opinions with each having a shocked look on their faces, Margaux immediately stole the momentum.

"What the whaaaaaat?"

She stood up and placed her hands on her waist, "I am not going to do it!"

The members dropped their jaws as they waited for the next words Margaux is about to declare.

"Jimin is only for Yri and Yri is only for Jimin!"

The youngest looked down, chuckling to herself or maybe thinking how ridiculous Margaux sounds now with all her dramatic gestures.

"You have to," Yri responded as her voice trailed off, "just think of it only as an acting stuff on-cam."

"No!" She sternly replied, "Remember the 'acting' a while ago? I won't let that happen, Yri."

Yri just released a deep sigh as she lied down again with her face covered, "Goodnight."

Shrugging, the members, excluding Mar, returned to their own beds as they couldn't do anything at all for they knew that once Yri ends a conversation, it ends there.

"Hey, Yri I—"

"Mar, just please let Yri be." Lili advised with a sorry smile, leaving Margaux with no choice but to follow her.

Later that evening as the night gets even deeper, it was only the youngest that’s probably still awake, apparently her mind still bothered by the fanfiction. She got up, picked her phone up and proceeded to tiptoe her way through the terrace, not wanting to wake a member up. Yri first took a deep breath as she mustered up all the courage she could get before reading the short summary of the story.

"Fck," she muttered under her breath as soon as she finished the summary.

"Hey."

Surprised by this, Yri swiftly exited the application and hid her phone to her back as she turned to look behind her to see Inna standing about a meter from her.

"Oh, Unnie. Hey. Haha," she nervously chuckled while scratching her head.

Inna then slowly walked towards her until she's finally standing beside her, "What are you doing in like 11pm?"

"N-nothing," Yri answered, clutching the phone behind her.

"But I heard you." The older one cockily chuckled as she leaned on to look at the nightsky with eyes full of admiration.

"It-it's nothing r-really."

Inna laughed, this time a bit louder but not enough to wake the other members up, "I know it's the fanfiction that's bothering you," she finished as she looked at Yri.

"W-well. . . Yeah, I guess."

"I've read the summary; you don't have to do it, Yri."

The younger one just shrugged; followed by a deep sigh, knowing that she herself is still bothered about it no matter how many times a convincing thought has passed by her.

Inna smirked and turned to the sky again, "It's not like Jimin's going to fall for her just like that, would he?"

Yri bit her lip and looked down; feeling like a tear involuntarily wants to escape from her eyes, "I'm afraid he might. Margaux's a very talented girl for her age and she's beautiful inside and out and she's really nice and she's full package and"

"It's just acting, Yri. You can always punch Margaux if things go wrong."

Yri laughed out loud but quickly covered her mouth, controlling herself from waking the members up.

"But Mar knows how much you love Jimin so I assure you more than a hundred ninety percent that she'll never do something that'll make you upset." She leaned back and turned to face Yri for the last time.

"You need to get a good rest, kiddo. It's been a long, stressful week and you need it." She chuckled, almost doing a pirouette stance as she reached for the younger one’s head to mess her hair up since she’s a bit taller than her.

Yri was left there, eyes wider than the bright moon outside that's shining through the terrace, still collecting thoughts and worrying about the fanfiction.

Friday came and everyone was getting ready for the TV Show with their last minute makeup and preparation due to their hectic schedule. Nonetheless, the audience's hype can be felt especially when they raised their banners with an applaud as the broadcast has finally started.

"Hello, this is Sonyeoniq's Chaemin and we're here for 'Reading Fanfictions'! Where your fanfictions come to life. Yaaay~" She beamed with an excited wave at the camera and at the fans who are cheering for her.

"Before we start, I want to know which your favorite fanfiction is of all time."

She stood up from the couch and walked to the audience who are now cheering louder than before as they all wanted to take the chance to talk on a microphone. Everyone was raising their hands, making it hard for the host to pick so she just randomly approached someone and positioned the microphone to her mouth for her to speak.

"My favorite fanfiction of all time is 'Fib'!" She was literally yelling on the microphone but this didn't bother anyone, considering that 90% of them agreed with her answer by raising their banners up even higher.

Participants get to have their prizes with a random KPop merchandise handed personally by Yri herself or occasionally, the other members from her group.

"Well ladies and gentlemen, our most voted fanfiction for today is~" Yri proceeded to the main stage and acted like she's doing a drumroll along with the beat of the sound on the background, eyes wide, aiming for a comedy act.

The title of the fanfiction then flashed before the screen, underneath written was the author of the story. Everyone surely is excited for the idols to come out and act their own favorite fanfiction, and on the other hand, Yri is obviously faking a smile, maybe even mentally murdering someone.

"Please give a round of applause for the characters who will be acting!" She led the crowd into an erupt of applause as the two groups went out together, cheers deafening second by second and the background song wasn't even a big help.

"For our segment~ 'Act It Out Fanfiction'!" Yri finally declared as soon as all of the members have found their comfort in sitting on the couches provided onstage.

"For those who still don't know what this segment is about— this is where the most voted fanfiction will be acted out by your very own cast! Isn't that amazing?"

Aaaaand the Best Sarcastic Face Award goes to none other than. . . Yri Beatrizelle!

"Since some fanfictions are long, we have to pick out the best scene of all, and guess what? It's chosen by you, too!"

The neverending cheers turned Yri even more pissed as she's unsure if they're actually mocking her as they all know she's a huge Jimin stan.

"Let's start, shall we?" Sarcasm building up in her voice, she turned the microphone to the audience, all responding with the same screams.

Yri's POV

Blah blah blah. Reading the first few lines bore the living heck out of me, but thankfully, no one's screaming their lungs out yet, probably keeping their calm— except for that one freaking fan I keep hearing before thr show even started; must be a die-hard fan.

"It was a cold December night when Margaux and Jimin's paths have finally crossed for the first time since 10 years have passed. Funny how this is also exactly how they have met for the first time in the same exact place and time. 'Destiny', that's what you call it, right?"

Before the spotlights were turnd to Mar and Jimin, they gave me one last worried look and what I gave them was a big smile, a good facade showing how truly fine I really am for now because for fck's sake I don't even know.

The spotlights have shoned down on them, screams might even be heard from the next studio and now I'm cursing under my breath and even making faces which is absolutely alright since no one can see me derping in this dark—

"Yri, calm down."

— Except for Lili who seems to be feeling my nerve as she gently held onto my hands tight, followed by a couple of encouraging words.

"Jimin?"

"Margaux?"

Oh wow, that unexpected acting from Margaux was truly. . . I don't even know what to say— I didn't know she can act so well.

"Jimin never knew he'll be able to see her again so unawaringly. . . ‘unawaringly’? ‘What the actual? ‘Unawaringly’. . .” I stopped in between the lines to continuously repeat the same oddly unfamiliar word and let it sink in through my brains, asking if it is a legitimate word.

“—un. . . awaringly, he hugged her tight in his arms. . ."

I continued with my voice mixing up with uncertainty. What the—? ‘Unawaringly’? Does that word even exist? How is this story even the most voted? I mean just look at how mediocre it is! Or am I just salty?

"UWAAAAAAAAH!"

Forgive my bad mouth but for fck's sake again, I swear I'm not getting out of this studio without my ears bleeding until I get deaf.

"I-I thought I'll never be able to see you again!"

Dare would someone stop me from destroying this studio into crumbles and ashes. . . Just kidding, as if I can actually do that.

"Min, are you okay?" It was Jungkook with a worried face, asking a meter across from where I sit.

I gave him the same smile I gave Mar and Jimin a while ago because why not? Of course I'm having the time of my life as I cherish every moment watching my ultimate love of my life getting sweet and fluffy to none other than my co-member which is dearly a close friend of mine.

Mar looked down with sadness smearing all over her face, "J-Jimin I-I have s-something to t-tell you. . . I—"

"I also have something to tell you, Mar." Jimin lifted Mar's chin up as he searched for her gaze and the moment he had, he smiled and cupped her cheeks.

"What is this crap?"

The audience was about to burst into their fangirling mode again when Yuki spoke— she must've forgotten to remove her lavalier and now her voice is echoing throughout the studio.

Inna gave her the 'look' but she retorted with a simple yet blunt eyebrow raise and turned to the audience to apologize in her own way.

"Sorry, I meant 'craft' like 'crafty' because this fanfiction is sooo 'creative'." She sarcastically explained when the spotlight was turned to her.

"Can you please get the f—"

Gosh, Yuki. She's so used to cursing all the time she sometimes forgets to limit herself.

"Get the spotlight away from me? It's blinding. Why don't you just continue with the show?"

With that being said, the spotlight was immediately switched back to Mar and Jimin, continuing the halted cheers of the audience.

"After all these years, I. . ."

I'm not even exaggerating but the way Jimin pressed his forehead lightly to Margaux's is overly dramatic! Since when the heck did this mochi learned how to act like this!?

"I still love you, Margaux. I still do."

His words are coming out smoothly it's unbelievable, and wow just look at how he held Yoo Margaux's hands!

"Please Yri, don't cry. This is just acting. Just acting." I mumbled the words repeatedly to myself with my hands firmly covering my ears.

"J-Jimin I. . ."

Margaux calmly removed Jimin's grasp from her as she dramatically turned her back from him, hands embracing herself, immersing herself into the scenario of an actual cold December night.

"I also still love you b-but I. . ."

I squeezed my eyes shut but not even a second has passed, the howling got more insane it had caught my attention; curious on whatever is driving the crowd crazy, I slowly opened my eyes and—

Alright, I'm done. Congratulations, people! It's Jimin back-hugging Margaux. Great view— absolutely a blockbuster if it were to be a film.

"Please don't leave me again, Margaux. I will never let you go."

Wow, just wow. Heck am I actually seeing this? Jimin over Mar's shoulder and wow, just. . . wow, is that a real tear coming out from Margaux's eyes?

"It was at that moment, Chaemin, Jimin's ex-girlfriend, came out to witness the heartbreaking scene. . ."

'Ex-girlfriend'? Whoah, did I just say that? Dear fanfiction writer of this story, don’t be surprised if a random K-Pop idol potato comes into your room because she will hunt you down.

"Lili, just. . . continue."

I handed the microphone and cue card to her and ran backstage as quickly as I can before I could even let Lili react. I'm sorry I can't let them see me crying.

"Ugh, stop being a crybaby!" I muttered to myself as I aggressively wipe these stupid tears away from my face.

There is this monitor here in backstage where I can see the live broadcast so now I'm seeing Lili take over my place for a while.

"Uh-h-hey y-yo haha!"

She was clearly nervous the moment both spotlight and camera focused on her.

"Uhh. . . Ch-Chaemin needs to go to the restroom first haha but yeah, we'll be right back babye!"

Well, that was. . . awkward. It's now on commercial break and I'm not even sure if I can continue with the show. Call me weak but only if you can actually stand watching your ultimate bias getting sweet to someone else without having any emotions.
