The Angel and the Devil

(Jennie's Pov)
“Chanyeol?!” I said with shockness.

“Are you ok?” He looks at us from head to toe.

“N-Ne..” We both said as we stand up.

“What time is it?” I asked.

“Time for you to leave for class.” He replies.

“How can I when she was affected with all of this?!”

“It was your fault though.”

“Why are you so cold all of a sudden? You weren't a second ago! Make up your damn mind and stop trying to argue with me every single time we bump into each other!”

I run off, leaving them both behind. He was always so cold to me. I never even did anything to him to make him be like this!

Inside, I spot my ‘tutor.' Xiumin. Should I go say hi to him?

I never even talk to boys though. I never even talk to anyone except Rosé. But of course.. how could I when there goes Chanyeol?

I was too busy deep in my thoughts that I didn't realize he was already here, standing in front of me and waving his hand.

“Hello? Jennie? Um.. Hello??”

“Oh. Yeah. Sorry.”

He chuckles. “What were you thinking about?”

“Uh.. Nothing.”

“You sure?”

“Yup. Totally sure.” I say, giving him a thumbs up.

“Ok then. What do you have for second period?”

“Huh? Second period? Doesn't first come before second?”

“Um.. First period already passed…”

“It did?!”

“Yeah.. And by the way, have you seen Chanyeol around? He hasn't come to school yet.”

“Oh him? He's.. He's with my friend..”

“What? What is he doing with her?”

“I don't know. Let me ask you a question though. Does he always have a harsh expression when he's with others?”

“Nope. He's always funny and kind to others.”

“Pft. Kind?”

“Yeah.. Although I don't really know why he's so rude to you..” He trails off while rubbing his hands against the bottom of his chin with a confused face. Omo! So adorable! Like a Baozi!!

“Hey. Leave.” Says a familiar voice. But I was too busy looking at Xiumin that I didn't hear whoever said that.

“I said to leave.” The person pushes me aside and I finally blank out. It was Chanyeol.
“Aish. Don't gotta be so rude..” I say and I walk away.

I was tired of fighting with him so I decided to leave for second period class instead of arguing back.

*Lunch*
I walk in and smell.. nothing? There was usually the smell of some sort of food but today was strange. I smelled nothing.

“Jennie. What are we going to do now?” Says Rosé, walking towards me.

“What do you mean?”

“They say they are no longer going to make lunch for us. We have to either bring food from home or buy our own food.”

“What?! What kind of school does that?!”

“A school who's running out of money..”

“Right. I forgot. Who even told them to spend $10,000 on a useless trip that wasn't even worth it. I mean, the trip was in fact boring.”

“I don't know. But what are we going to do now?”

“Nothing. There's nothing to do if we aren't going to eat. Well, other than to starve ourselves.”

“Aw.. Jennie..” She starts to pull on my sleeve while whining.

“Excuse me?” Says a guy who looks like a puppy.

“Ne?” I said, standing in front of Rosé. I didn't want her to get hurt again.

“Do you.. by any chance.. have.. any food? Or.. money.. that I can borough?” He says, rubbing his shoulder.

“Um. No..? What does it look like? That I'm rich or something?”

“Jeez. So mean..” he mutters and walks away. Sigh. I wasn't even trying.

“Oh. Jennie!” Calls out Xiumin as soon as he sees me.

“Hm? Oh Xiumin!” He runs over to Rosé and I with three cups of bubble tea and a big bag of chips.

“Hey. Doesn't it suck how we now have to buy our own lunch?”

“Haha.. yeah.” He looks at our bare hands and then back at his drinks.

“Here. You both can have these.” He hands us both a cup of bubble tea.

“Thank you!!!” Says Rosé as she quickly drinks up like half of the cup. We both stared at her and as soon as she realizes, she responds. “Oh.. sorry.. I'm just really hungry.”

We both chuckled and sat down near a table. The table was circular.

“Here you guys can share this with me.” He says, motioning us to take a piece of chip.

“Thank you but you didn't really have to.” I say.

“No it's fine. Besides, you can't concentrate well with your work without having a good meal.”

“Jeez.. thanks. You don't have to be so kind. I don't know how to pay you back-” I was cut off when Xiumin put a piece of chip in my mouth.

“Mmm..mmm… mm.. m?” My words ended up being muffled.

He chuckled. “You better eat before that friend of yours finishes it all up!”

I looked over and he was right. Rosé was quietly getting the chips and stuffing them in her mouth.

“Mmhat?”

We both laughed and she slowly began to join in.

He sighs. “It's so fun hanging out with you guys.

“Xiumin-Hyung!! Are you eating without us?” We heard five other voices coming behind us. As soon as they saw Rosé and I they bowed.

“Annyeong!” They all said.

We both stopped eating and bowed back. “Annyeong."

“Chinjia? Do you guys really expect me to make them starve to death?”

“Aish Xiumin-Hyung. We never said anything about that. All we said was why you didn't invite us.” Says a guy who looks more like a deer. “Im Luhan by the way.” He says to us.

“Ne. I'm Jennie and she is Rosé.”

“I'm Tao!”

“I'm kris.”

“I'm Chen!”

“And Im Lay.”

They all say after one another.

“And we are all Exo-M!” Says everybody except Xiumin.

“Me too by the way.” He says.

“Exo-m?” I say, confused.

“Yup. We are all Chinese except for Xiumin Hyung and Chen.” Says Luhan.

“Come on guys! We have about ten minutes and we haven't eaten anything!!!” Says Chen, whining.

“Yeah you guys can have the rest.” I say. And they quickly sit down next to us, moving both Rosé and Xiumin closer to me to the point that they are about to squash me.

“Um..”

But they were all too busy finishing off the last pieces of chips that only us three noticed. I was about to get up but was pushed accidentally by Rosé and it made me fall back down to my seat and my head on Xiumin's shoulders.

“Um.. Sorry.” I say quickly lifting my head up.

“Ani.. Its fine. “ he says with a smile.

The bell finally rings and I was relieved. Finally!

“Well it was fun eating with you guys. But I guess we have to go. See you after school at ELA!!” He says and starts to walk away with the others.

“Annyeong!” We all say to each other and leave each other to go find our last class. Lucky for me, Rosé and I both had gym last. We walked to the changing room and changed ourselves into our gym uniforms.

“Hey Rosé” I started. “What did you and chanyeol do after I left you guys?” I was curious to see what Chanyeol and her could've done.

“Nothing. He just left about five seconds later and said nothing.”

“Oh. No wonder he was inside after..” I trail off and shake my head. “Never mind. Let's just go out and run some laps.”

We walk out the changing room and run around in laps. We then stopped after we were all told to and sat down all together.

“Ok girls. Today will be different. I will assign you partners to the boys next door. We want to make a project about sports, both through a girl and boys perspective.”

We all groaned.

“Aw come on.”

“Chinjia?!”

“The boys?!”

“Them?!?!!!”

Everybody started to come in after another until everybody was talking and complaining at the same time.

“Quiet, quiet. It will only be for this time. You can see who you are partnered with at the chart I made over there.” She says, pointing to a corner where there was a piece of paper hanging on the wall.

Everybody, especially Rosé and I, ran over to the paper and I widened my eyes when I see who I was supposed to work with.

“Him?!?!?!” I shouted. “I'm partners with him?!”
