Forget About Her

{SoonHee's POV}

He leans in closer and our noses touch.

Why is he going to kiss me?!!

We're supposed to be friends!!! Nothing more!!

I close my eyes in fear and just when I feel his warm breathe touch my face, leaning even closer to me, if that was even possible.

His lips touched mine.

I didn’t really know what to do, but I let him do it, since I was way too shocked to do anything.

I was trying to resist, but…

I couldn’t help myself.

Fudge this. Fudge my stupid promise. I know I like him, and I can’t stop it. Might as well accept the love.

Yeah.. just fall for him, and see if I trust him enough for him to catch me.

We did it for about another minute, and I closed my eyes, as this weird feeling overcomes my heart and my chest.

Suddenly my phone rings. He immediately jumps off me from the sudden and loud noise.

I sit up quickly and grab my phone from my pocket.

I look over at Jungkook to see him lying on his back while slapping his cheek muttering words that I can't hear. I sigh and shake my head as I look at my phone screen to see that the call.. Was coming from the hospital.

"Hello?" I say breathlessly into the phone after I clicked the answer button.

"Excuse me, is this Ms.Choi's daughter?" A female voice says.

"Um yes this is her", I say worriedly and I look at Jungkook to see him sitting up and staring at me with concern.

"There was an accident with you m..." The woman says urgently and my eyes widen in shock.

And that's all I hear because my phone drops from my hand.

"M-mom..." I mutter and I cover my mouth with my hands.

She was in an accident…

I continue to sit there as I try to process everything that I was just told.

"SoonHee? Are you okay?" Jungkook says and I continue to stare off into space.

What kind of accident? Is she seriously injured? What if she... Doesn't make it..

I can feel my eyes starting to tear up as I grab my phone.

"H-hello?" I say into the phone but it seems that the woman has already hung up. I start to breathe heavily and I start to feel my heart race.

"SoonHee? What happened?? What's going on?" Jungkook says in a worried tone as he lightly rests his hand on my shoulder. I can feel my lips starting to tremble as I think about all the problems that can occur if my mom were to....

"SoonHee you need to calm down and tell me what happened", Jungkook says in a calm voice and I glance at his face.

"My m-mom got into an a-a-accident", I say stuttering as I bite my bottom lip to stop it from trembling.

"Okay it's fine. You're okay and she's okay. You need to breathe calmly before I take you to see your mom, okay?" Jungkook says in a soft voice as he holds my hand. He helps me stand up and I continue to tremble as my anxiety starts to hit me.

"I-I can't calm-" I say but I'm cut off by Jungkook's small smile.

"Relax SoonHee. I'm here to help you. Stay calm and breathe in and out slowly", he says and I follow his instructions.

"See? You're calm already", Jungkook says softly as he takes my hand and leads me towards the parking lot.

I continue to space out as he continues to lead me to his car in the lot.

How did the accident happen? What will I do if I see my mom in bad shape? What will happen if mom-

"Get in" Jungkook says gently as he opens the car door for me.

Wow I didn't even notice that we were already in the parking lot. I nod and enter his car on the passenger side.

"Your mom’s going to be fine", Jungkook says after he went around the car and entered the drivers side.

I nod my head at his words and look out the window as he starts the car.

Mom... Please be okay..

"Is she alright?!" I yell at the lady sitting at the large desk towards the back of the waiting room.

"Who is alright miss-"

"Is my mom alright?!" I continue to yell and I feel hands grasp my shoulders from behind. I turn to see Jungkook as he says, "don't yell at the poor woman. Just ask her kindly."

I hesitate and nod slowly as I take a deep breathe to calm my nerves.

"Okay sweetie what's your mom’s last name?" She says and I answer, "Choi."

She nods and checks her computer as Jungkook and I stand there, waiting for her answer. I can feel my heart beating faster as I wait impatiently for her information.

"You aren't able to see her right now, she's in surgery right now", the woman says and I stand there.

She's in... Surgery..

I collapse from her words and I feel Jungkook catch me.

"She's... In surgery", I mutter out loud in shock as I stare at the floor.

I feel Jungkook help me to the nearest chair and I gladly sit on it as he puts one arm around my shoulders.

Was she in that bad of an accident that she had to get surgery?

I feel liquid drop onto my hand and I feel my cheek to see that tears are already falling from my eyes.

"J-Jungkook", I stutter and he peers at my face.

"She must've been in a really bad accident to have needed surgery", I sob and I feel arms wrap around me.

"She's going to be fine", Jungkook says softly as he strokes the back of my head.

"What if she doesn't make it", I sob into his chest and he continues to hug me.

"She'll make it, don't worry. Your mom is a strong person", Jungkook says confidently and I chuckle as I sniffle.

"You don't even know my mom, so how could you know that she's strong?" I ask him and he pushes me away slightly so that he can look at my face.

"Because it takes a strong mother to birth a strong woman like you", he says with a comforting smile as he gazes into my eyes.

I smile and roll my eyes as I hit his chest playfully.

"See? I made you smile!" He says with a grin.

"Thanks", I say as I sniffle and rest my head on his shoulder. I feel him lean his head on top of mine and I start to feel myself slowly drifting.

"You're comfy", I mutter as I close my eyes and sigh in relief. I feel his shoulders vibrate as he chuckles and I slap his chest.

"Stop moving. I can't sleep if you keep moving like that", I whine as I try fall asleep on his shoulder. He chuckles and says, "alright I'll stop. Just go to sleep." I smile and I feel myself slowly falling asleep. I feel something soft touch my forehead, but I'm too tired to open my eyes.

"Thank you Jungkook, for staying with me", I mutter as I'm gradually pulled into a peaceful sleep.
