Forget About Her

"Psst, SoonHee", she hears and turns her head slightly to see Taehyung.

"What?" She whispers as she turns her body slightly to face him.

"Is Jungkook feeling okay? Ever since he walked in the class this morning, he's been looking kind of down", Taehyung says and SoonHee turns her head to take a quick glance towards Jungkook.

He's just sitting there, staring blankly at the desk in front of him. He feels as if he is being watched, so he takes a quick look around the room and spots SoonHee staring at him.

"Crap", SoonHee mutters and immediately looks back towards Taehyung. "Uh yea, Jungkook seems fine to me", she lies as she looks back towards the professor.

"I don't think so..." Taehyung mutters with a shake of his head as he looks back towards the front of the classroom.

SoonHee bites her bottom lip in worry as she turns her head slightly towards Jungkook to steal a glance. She notices him looking down, doing something underneath his desk. She suddenly feels a vibration and grabs her phone from her pocket.

Jungkook: meet me at the amphitheater after class. We need to talk

SoonHee texts Jungkook a quick reply saying that she will meet up with him. She drags out a long sigh as she puts her phone back in her pocket and looks back towards her professors speech.

If only she could just push Jungkook away…

Why is it so hard to push him away?

Why can't she...?

"Hey", Jungkook says as he walks up to SoonHee who's leaning against a tree with arms crossed.

"What do you want?" She asks him with attitude.

She really hates to be this way towards him, but she has no other choice. She's doing this for MinAh, her new friend after all.

"What happened to us being really close?" Jungkook asks her and she rolls her eyes. She doesn't answer his question and looks to the side to avoid his gaze.

"SoonHee, answer me", Jungkook commands in a stern voice and SoonHee raises her eye brow.

"Since when did you boss me around?" SoonHee says as she feels her heart ping with guilt. "If you're done, then I need to get going. I have to visit my mom in the hospital", she says as she stands up from leaning against the tree.

"I'll come with you", Jungkook says and SoonHee shakes her head. She's about to respond when she hears a female voice call Jungkook's name.

"Oh... Hey MinAh", Jungkook says as he watches MinAh jog over to the two.

"I was wondering if we can go out for dinner today? Can we go out for dinner tomorrow too?" MinAh asks Jungkook with a small smile and he hesitantly looks at SoonHee.

"Well I have to go anyways. Bye Jungkook. Talk to you later MinAh" SoonHee says and smiles happily towards MinAh. She turns around and quickly walks away from the two to avoid being in between them.

"Jungkook... I'm sorry", SoonHee chokes on her words as she walks towards the parking lot.

She told Jimin earlier today that she would be driving to school and driving home alone from now on.

She knew that Jimin would be worried if he were to see her like this.

Being depressed and having a fog of guilt cloud her eyes is something Jimin can spot a mile away.

So she tries to avoid him, knowing that if he were to find out about MinAh, he would for sure say something to Jungkook.

She hates keeping this secret from him. She hates seeing him being torn.

But... She can't keep this up for forever..

She's going to break someday, and once the dam is broke, there is no way of patching it up again if water were to keep gushing through.

She just hopes that her dam is strong enough to withstand the flowing water on the other side...
