Forget About Her

"So.. When are you discharging from the hospital?" SoonHee asks MinAh as she swallows the food.

"Tomorrow morning I'll be back in college", she says and extends the bag of chips towards her.1

"Want some?" She asks and SoonHee shakes her head slightly. MinAh shrugs her shoulders and continues to eat her snack happily.

"Well I have to go back to see my mom. It was nice talking to you again MinAh", SoonHee says as she stands up from her chair. MinAh gives her best smile and stands up from her chair. She extends her arms to give SoonHee a hug and she gladly puts her arms around the other girl.

"I'll see you tomorrow", SoonHee says as she releases the hug and MinAh nods happily.

"See you!" She exclaims with a small smile. She looks down at her chips and extends them towards SoonHee.

"Do you think you can eat these before you go or take this with you? I don't think I can eat anymore", MinAh says she holds her stomach slightly. SoonHee nods and slowly takes the chips from the girls skinny fingers.

"Thanks", both MinAh and SoonHee say at the same time. They both look up and give each other a warm smile.

SoonHee leaves the vending room with a quick goodbye to MinAh.

She continues to walk down the hallway as she stares at the bag of chips that MinAh has handed her.

She bites her bottom lip out of worry for Jungkook. She really wants to tell Jungkook, but she can't.

She told MinAh she wouldn't tell Jungkook..

"Hey SoonHee what took so long", Jimin asks and SoonHee finally looks up.

"Oh.. Sorry. I was having trouble picking what I wanted", she says as she looks down at the chips. Jimin chuckles slightly and ruffles her hair.

"Don't worry about it. I was just curious to know why you were taking so long", Jimin says as he puts his arm around her shoulders.

"Did you want to see your mom again?" Jimin asks and SoonHee slowly shakes her head.

"No um... I'm kind of tired today..." SoonHee says and she turns away from Jimins grasp. She walks down the hallway as she starts to blank out once again.

"Are you alright SoonHee? You sounded cheerful before you left to get a snack", Jimin says and SoonHee shakes her head while giving him a smile.

"Everything's fine! I'm just really tired", SoonHee says as she tries to yawn.

"Oh.. Okay.. I'll take you home then", Jimin says as they walk through the hospital exit. They continue to walk through the parking lot as SoonHee continues to grip the chip bag tightly.

"SoonHee, I think you're going to rip the chip bag", Jimin says which snaps SoonHee away from her thoughts. She glances down at the chip bag and releases it slightly. They finally make it to Jimins car and he turns SoonHee around.

"Why are you crying", Jimin asks SoonHee and she looks up.

"I... Have been trying not to cry ever since that day", SoonHee says as she stares at Jimins chest, trying to avoid his gaze.

"But... After what's going on now... I don't think I can hold it in anymore... So I'm slowly letting it out... Little by little", SoonHee says in a shaky voice and she notices Jimin take a step closer to her.

"Don't hug me please.. I want to get through this on my own" she says as she turns away and steps into the passenger side of Jimins car. Jimin nods slowly and walks to the drivers side of the car as SoonHee closes the passenger car door.

She looks out the window as Jimin reverses out of the parking spot and drives to her house.

She sighs as she stares out the window, thinking of no one else but MinAh and Jungkook.

Her heart hurts at the thought of MinAh leaving Jungkook alone, again.

She shakes her head and tries a small smile.

"Just smile SoonHee... Just smile", she mutters to herself as she smiles and looks out the window.

She pretends to be happy for the sake of others, she doesn't want to hurt other people. She smiles, pretends that everything is okay, and holds back her tears.

She doesn't want Jimin or her father to worry. So she simply smiles to stop the flow of tears, and sits there silently while Jimin, who is deeply concerned, drives her home.
