Forget About Her

{Author's POV}

Months have passed since SoonHee's mother has been in the hospital. She's still in a coma and remains 'sleeping' in the white hospital room filled with numerous of nurses a day.

SoonHee has learned to cope with her mother being in the hospital. She has learned to stay strong and to stay positive through it all. She continues to think that her mom will one day wake up from her tortuous slumber, but who knows?

Maybe the sleeping mother will never wake up..

Both SoonHee and Jungkook have ever so slightly drifted away from each other after that sorrow filled day. Jungkook has started to talk to MinAh again and SoonHee has continued to remain by herself.

Except for Jimin of course; her loving best friend.

Every now and then she can't help but feel a hint of anger when she notices Jungkook laughing and talking with MinAh.

She is the girl that hurt Jungkook after all.

But then again she can't help but feel happy for him. He seems happier when he's with her, so why not just let them be a thing again?

Who is she to stop a love from blossoming?

When her and Jungkook do chat though, it's as if they have been friends for years. There are no awkward conversations and the flow of it all seems so natural. She smiles just like how she used to before her mom was put into a coma.

SoonHee and Jimin seem to have gotten closer over the past couple months, if that's even possible since they've been best friends for quite some time. They hug often and are almost always together.

It's as if they have turned into a real couple.

But no, they aren't. In fact, she still thinks of him as her brother.

Sometimes she notices Jungkooks stare whenever her and Jimin hug, but she's not sure if he's staring at them or not.

Because after all, she can only seem him out of the corner of her eye.

Sometimes she tries to talk to Jungkook, even if it's only for a couple minutes.

She loves to hear how he's doing and to make sure that he's still doing okay. But his answer is always the same, that he's doing fine.

She starts to notice that whenever she talks to Jungkook, MinAh would somehow get involved. She would come up and start talking to them with loads of smiles and cheer. She would cling onto Jungkooks arm every now and then. Of course SoonHee could feel a hint of jealousy, but who is she to get jealous?

They love each other, so she lets them be. She doesn't say anything and refuses to get in between their "friendship".

In fact, they've gotten so close that they hug each other every once in awhile as well.

She also noticed that MinAh has been acting kind of... Strange lately.

She's not quite sure what's so strange about her and she can't quite understand it yet, but she knows that something is off.

And she wants to find out, because she has a feeling that it can possibly hurt Jungkook…

She definitely doesn't want Jungkook hurt again…

So SoonHee tries to talk to MinAh more; tries to get to know her better.

From what SoonHee can tell, she's a very sweet girl, who is very much in love with Jungkook, but a girl who's hiding a secret.

A secret that SoonHee wants to know, for the sake of Jungkook.

But it's not like SoonHee is trying to befriend her because she wants to know MinAh's secrets. She actually wants to friend her because she seems like a very nice person.

So why not friend someone who's nice?

But still... There's something about MinAh... Something she's hiding.

SoonHee finally snaps out of it when she feels a poke on her shoulder. She looks to her side to see Taehyung giving her a small smile.

"Hey", he whispers towards her as he places his hand back on the desk in front of him.

"How's everything going with Jungkook?" Taehyung whispers as he scoots his chair closer to SoonHee's. He rests his arms on her desk as they continue to hear their professors lecture in the background.

"It's going... Great", SoonHee says with a soft smile as she looks at Taehyung.

"We talk like normal friends and.. Yea", she finishes and Taehyung gives her a look.

"What?" She asks him with a raised eye brow. Taehyung sighs and shakes his head.

"It's nothing", he says as he glances at the professor. He looks back towards SoonHee and asks, "how's everything with Jimin?"

"It's great!", she says happily and Taehyung gives her the same look again.

"What?!" She whisper yells and he shrugs his shoulders.

"Nothing.." He says and scoots his chair back to his desk.

"Stay sharp", he whispers towards SoonHee as he nods his head towards the professor. She finally looks up to see the professor walking closer to her.

"Excuse me SoonHee Choi, you are not required to go to this class if you want to chat all day, but please have respect for the others around you who actually want to learn", the professor says and SoonHee bows her head in apology.
