He's My Only One

{KImma's pov}

Jungkook and I walk around the park as the sun continues to set.

"So.... Do you think I'm fired from my job at the coffee shop?" I ask as we walk away from the park.

"I don't know, want to go and ask?" he says as he points down the road.

"We're close to the coffee shop?"

"Yea, you keep going and turn left. Then you walk a little more and it should be there", he says as we walk towards the road.

"Hmm I'll race you?" I say as we stop right before we touch the beginning of the road.

"If I win you have to owe me another favor", Jungkook says with a smirk. I scoff and shake me head.

"Who's says I'll let you win", I say with a smirk.

"Oh yea? Okay we'll start in 3... 2...1! Go!" He says and I start to sprint.

"Look who's won again", Jungkook says as I enter the coffee shop.

"Ugh I hate you", I say as I sit across from him at the table. He laughs and says, "I know you do."

I roll my eyes as I see my manager running toward the table.

"Ms Wang! I heard you were in the hospital, are you feeling better?" He asks with an expression of worry. I nod my head and say, "yea I'm fine now. I was in a coma for about three weeks, but it's okay now. I've healed and everything." He sighs in relief and asks, "do you still want the job?"

"I-I can still have the job?" I ask with wide eyes. He chuckles and says, "of course. In the interview you sounded like a very nice and responsible person. You're just the one I need for a place like this. So, what do you say? You still want to work here?" I nod my head and he asks, "okay, I'll see you at work soon? When are you able to work?"

"I can work tomorrow if you want. The doctor says I can have about a week off of school. I don't go to school for another 3 days, not including the weekend, so that makes it technically 5 days", I say.

"Okay I'll see you tomorrow at 10:30 AM and your shift ends at 10:30 PM" he says with a smile. I nod my head and he walks away from the table.

"Congrats Kimma, you still got the job", Jungkook says with a small smile.
His stupid smile again.. Why does his smile do this to my heart?!

"But anyways, I still beat you here, so you owe me", he says with a smirk.

"What else do I owe you now?"

"Hmm, I'll think about it", he says as a waitress walks over.

Jungkook asks for a caramel macchiato and I just ask for some water.

"That's it? Just water?" Jungkook says as the waitress walks away.

"Well I haven't had a lot of water today so..." I say as I trail off.

In fact I don't remember the last time I drank water.

He nods his head and says, "so... About your dad..."

"I'm not going back to live with him", I say. He raises his eyebrow and asks, "so you're going to stay living with me?"

He sounded a little too happy that I wasn't going to live with my dad...

"Actually I was thinking about saving up some money to go get an apartment", I say.

".... Don't you miss your dad?" Jungkook asks as the waitress comes back with his coffee and my water.

"Well, yea. I miss the memories of how my dad used to be, but not how he is now", I say as I take a drink of my water.

Jungkook sighs and takes a drink of his macchiato as he taps his fingers on the table.

"I feel like I need to do something to help, but I don't know..." He says but starts to trail off. His eyes widen and he stares at me.

"What are you staring at?" I ask with a confused tone.

"I've never felt like helping anyone before... This is strange", he says as he looks at his coffee. I laugh and say, "wow who knew the Jeon Jungkook could actually have a heart and want to help someone." He scoffs and rolls his eyes as he takes another sip of his drink.

"Want to try some?" He says.

"Try what?"

"My drink", he says as he pushes his drink towards me.

"No thanks", I say as he raises his eyebrow.

"Have you ever tried a caramel macchiato?" He says as I stare at his drink. I shake my head and he says, "just take a sip. If you don't like it, then I'll never ask for you to drink another caramel macchiato ever again."

"Fine", I mutter as I take a sip of his drink.

This taste... Why does it taste familiar?

I feel my head pound and I place the drink back on the table.

"I'm guessing you don't like it?" He says as he peers at my face.

"No I like it! It tastes good! But..."

"But?"

"But I feel like I've tasted this before", I say as I push the drink towards him.

"Oh so you have had one before?" He says.

I shake my head and say, "I don't remember drinking one before."

My head continues to ache as I try to think back to when I've ever tasted a caramel macchiato... But there's nothing.

"Ughhhh" I groan as I place my forehead on the table. I hear Jungkook laugh and say, "another memory problem?"

"Hey", I say as I kick him under the table. "It's not funny", I say as he winces in pain. I chuckle at his expression and he says bitterly, "oh, so you laugh when I'm in pain or misery? That's nice to know that you love seeing me hurt." I laugh again and shake my head.

"Don't worry I laugh at everyone's pain", I chuckle and he laughs.

"Well then that's a relief", he says and I take a drink of my water.

"You know, I've never tried a water", he says in a sarcastic tone.
What a dork.

"Oh wow, really?! How can you not have had a water before?!" I say sarcastically as I push the water towards him.

"you have to try it!" I say.

"Hmm I don't know..." He says as he continues to look at my water.

"Okay if you don't like it, then I'll never ask you to drink a water ever again", I say as he sniffs the drink. I laugh and he holds in a chuckle.

"Fine..." He says with a roll of his eyes. He takes a drink of the water and then sets it down on the table. He remains expressionless and I sarcastically say, "you don't like it?"

"Oh my gosh... This is the best thing I have ever tasted!!! It literally tastes like nothing!" He says in an astonished tone. I laugh at his sarcasm and he laughs along with me.

He scoots his chair closer to me and says, "see? I can be funny too."

I roll my eyes and playfully shove his shoulder.

"Yea, sure, you keep thinking that to yourself", I say sarcastically as I drink some of my water again.

"You know, technically we kissed since our lips touched the exact spot on the same cup", he says and I choke on my water.

What the hell Jungkook why did you have to ruin a nice moment?

Ugh this boy... I swear he'll be the death of me…
