Deeply In Love

"Emma, sweetheart, you better get ready for the trip! The plane ride is starting in 4 hours, we have to leave in 30 minutes! Hopefully you have everything packed and ready to go!"

"Yes, mom.." I signed. I am 17 years old, a senior in high school.I lives in Maryland, but was born in China, so is my family, but my grandpa was from Korea. And that's pretty much the reason I am moving to Korea.

My grandpa is very ill, and my dad also got a new and better job in Korea.

"I'm gonna miss here so much, buddy..." I said to my dog Peter.
Peter made a soft sound, which I thought the dog meant "agreed"
"Come on Peter, go get your ball, you don't want to leave your best friend behind..."
"EMMA!!!!! come on, we are late!" My mom yelled.
"Coming!" I said, grabbed my backpack and my favorite bag of chips, that's it! Leaving America behind and OFF to Korea!
(On the plane)
"So, mom." I asked.
"Yes honey?"
"You signed me up for the performing art academy in Seoul?"
"Yep, and by the way it's a boarding school. But it's only 30 minutes away from our new home, so you can often come and visit us!" Her mom said.
"Ok. That makes it sound better!" I said.
"The even better news is there are many hot guys in the school. And I also heard many of the famous kpop and K drama guys will come and visit since many of them graduated there!" mom teased.
"Yeah right, like any of them is my type..."
"Come on Emma, I am sure some Korean boys are your type, and you very very pretty and cute too!"
"Mom, just stop it!" I was infuriated.
"Ok, ok..."


10 hours later

"So how are feeling Emma?"
"What do you mean dad? I'm fine, just like always." I said, a little confused.
"I am just worried that you might not be used to the land of Korea."
"I grew up in Asia until I was 11, I will be fine." I said, a little annoyed.
"Ok, just making sure! Oh and we will be there in a sec, our new house!"
"Is it an apartment?" My mom asked.
"Nope, a townhouse! It's actually pretty big, and our dog can have a nice and sweet bed!" Dad said.
Bark! Peter responded, at least I guess he meant he was happy. I was curious of how my room is going to look like, I am praying right now that it would not be pink.
"Oh la la!" Dad said, trying to be sassy, which he failed, "We are here!"
I took my stuff off the car which was REALLY a lot of work, since I had like 20 bags of stuff. I was glad that my dad was smart enough to rent a huge van so that our new car would not be stuffed.
The moment I walked in the house I was shocked. It was beautiful, while very different. It had a large living room, kitchen, and a lovely dining room full of candles. The stairs up stairs were made of glass, which quite sacred me because I am extremely scared of heights!
I carried 2 of my bags up stairs to decorate my room, which I planned to do the moment we arrived, I even bought my wall paper just in case the room is pink...
I opened the door, it was white, and very clean. "Wow..." I said, shocked...
My room wall is a very pretty and elegant teal color with some decorated crystals on it, the curtains were white and black zigzag.
"I love this!" I said. I am guessing I don't need my wall paper after all, I was kind of expecting gray or white walls, but this is beautiful.
I walked down stairs and up about 7 times in order to get all of my bags ready, and it took me about an hour to decorate my room...
"I'm finally done..." I said, signed a little. I looked at the clock, it was 6 in the afternoon. Time for dinner, I thought.
I walked down stairs and was shocked how quickly my mom organized the kitchen and the living room done by my dad. Peter even has his little dog bed ready to go.
"Where are we having dinner?" I asked.
"Oh, Emma! Here you are, I was wondering if you could go outside and grab us some dinner, like a sandwich or something? You know, you are pretty good at Korean!" Mom said.
"Sure... Ok, can I bring the dog?" I asked, hopefully.
Mom nodded," Yeah, make sure don't loose him!"
I quickly nodded and puts on my shoes and ran outside with my dog.
On the streets.
It's quite cold in November here... I was only wearing a sweatshirt and leggings, I guess I better bring lots of warm clothes to the campus.
I found a fast food store and I walked in, of course I let the dog stayed outside while I buy the food.
I'm kind of nervous, not really sure why, maybe its because this is my first time in Korea and first time actually speaking Korean to buy food, I did learn Korean in my old school in The US, I did get straight As, but this is completely different!
"Um... Hello!" I said nervously in Korean.
"Hi, how can I help you?" The server asked me.
"Can I have 2 burgers and 12 chicken nuggets with fries please?" I said, slowly.
"Sure! What drink would you like?" The server asked.
"Um... 2 cokes and 1 lemonade please?" I said.
"Lemonade? Not sure if I know what that is? Are you new to this country?"
I was kind of shocked, NO LEMONADE IN KOREA? how could these people live there lives? Anyways, I am kind of obsessed.
"Yeah. I will just get sprite!" I said.
"Ok! Your total will be xxx$"
I handed her the money and grabbed my bag of food and awkwardly walked out of the store. But the moment I walked out I was shocked.
"Shit!" I cursed I know, BUT I LOST MY DOG *-*
I started yelling my dog's name and running around like a total moron to find my dog, mom is going to KILL ME!
"Peter!!!!" I yelled.
"Excuse me?" Someone suddenly came up to me from my back and said this (IN ENGLISH)
I turned around, surprised to see a handsome young man around the age of 20 standing in front of me, smiling.
"Hello... Sorry I was screaming and all that, I...I just lost my dog... And, you speak English?" I said.
He smiled, and nodded. "Yes I do. And you lost your dog? A Labrador?"
I quietly nodded, "Yes, may I ask if you've seen him? He has blonde hair and..."
"I am sure he was just with me a minute ago, I saw him and he just started following me." He said.
I was confused," That's strange, my dog usually don't just run off with a stranger like that! Can you show me where he went?"
"Follow me." He said.
I nodded and randomly asked,"May I know your name?"
"Sure," he smiled. "It's Chanyeol."
"Chanyeol..." I repeated, it sounded familiar to me... I've obviously heard of this name...
"Chanyeol..." I repeated again, "Chanyeol... Park Chanyeol.... from... X... EXO!"
He smiled, "I was wondering why you were repeating my name. So you do know me! What's your name?"
I laughed, he's a very strange celebrity! I mean, who just wander around on the street like him?!
"My name is Emma." I said.
"Emma, nice name! Oh and here's your dog!" Chanyeol said.
I looked to my right and see my dog with his usual sweet little smile and drooling mouth... Yuck... But relieved.
"Hey Buddy! There you are, where have you been! I've been looking for you! Don't just run off like that! Mom is going to kill me if I lost you and I am probably not going be able to go to the performing art academy anymore!" I said, giving my dog a huge hug.
"Performing art academy of Seoul?" Chanyeol asked, "I go there, and so does many of the EXO people! How did you get in, its very hard... and I've never seen you before."
I giggled," It's kind of a long story, and I am new... I came from the United States, just earlier today I was on an plane. I am a actress and singer I guess... And they enroll some international students and I guess I am just lucky that I got in!"
Chanyeol smiled, "Welcome! And what grade are you in? Freshmen in college?"
"Pretty close! I am a senior in High school! And your ENGLISH IS REALLY GOOD!" I said.
"Thank you!" He said, "English is 100% required for the school. So I think you will do just fine! And you are moving into the campus on Monday?"
"Yep!" I said, looked at my watch, it's 7;00, I am probably really late. "Um.. I have to go! Sorry, it was nice talking to you though! See you on Monday!"
"Bye!" Chanyeol said, gave me a tiny "goodbye" wave.
I smiled at him for one last time and sprinted back home
