Suho’s POV
“So how is she doing, doctor? Is she okay?” The doctor sighed and ruffled his hair before looking back into the room. “The initial injuries weren’t too bad and the surgery went well…” He trailed off before finishing. “Doctor, you don’t need to hold anything back, I need to know what state she is in.” “OK. The surgery went well but she still hasn’t woken up yet. We think that she is either in a coma or she has suffered a concussion. There’s also a possible chance that she might have memory loss if when she wakes up.” Oh. “Oh. Well, if she is in a coma, when do you think she will wake up?” The doctor didn’t look like he knew how to say it. “Well...judging by her state, it could take days,” That’s not too bad. “Or months.” My hopes fell a bit. “Or years. Her state is different so it’s hard to predict.” “Ohh…Thank you, doctor.”
- A bit later -
Chanyeol and Baekhyun ran into the room, scaring the fuck out of me. “HYUNG!!!!” “Ya! Chanyeol, this is not the apartment! This is the hospital! I taught you better than that!” I hissed. Baekhyun hit Chanyeol in the arm and handed me a coffee. “Sorry, so why are you here?” I pointed to the girl. “She was getting beat up so I decided to help. But she was hurt really badly so I decided to bring her here.” “Is she ok?” Chanyeol started poking her to see if she was awake but I smacked his hand away before he could. “No. She’s needs time to recover and she doesn’t need you poking her face.” Chanyeol got smacked again by Baekhyun. “So, what should we tell manager-hyung?” I hadn’t thought about that yet. Umm, I guess I’ll be taking a few days off? “I think I’ll ask manager-hyung to give me a couple days off? I can’t just leave her here if she does wake up, so I’ll stay here with her.” They looked worried. I could tell what they were worried about. “But, manager-hyung...he…” “It’s fine.” “Then, what about the girl? Doesn’t she have family?” “She wasn’t found with a phone. The girls that beat her up broke or ripped up everything she had.” “Will you be coming back to the dorms tonight?” “I don’t think I will be going back today or tomorrow.” “OK hyung. Bye.” They left and I saw that it was already 11:28pm. I was getting really tired so I drifted off to sleep. - The Next Morning, 10:18 am -
I woke up and I realized that I was holding her hand. What? I let go of her hand immediately and looked at her face. Her lip had a huge cut and they were bruises all over her face. She had a bandage around the top of her head. But other than that, she was really pretty. Her arms also had bandages on them from the cuts that those bitches gave her. I swear to god I will find them and make them pay. I pitied the girl. No one should be treated like that. Ping! I heard my phone sound. From manager-hyung : It’s ok for you to take a couple days off, I understand.

Minhyuk’s POV
Where could she be??? It was almost 5pm and there wasn’t any sign of her anywhere. I tried texting her. Nothing. I tried calling her. Nothing. She wouldn’t stand me up like this. I decided to call her parent to see if she went home if she wasn’t feeling well.
*Calling Ringtone*
“Hello?”
“Hi auntie!”
“Oh Minhyuk! How are you?”
“I’m good. Listen-”
“You want to come over and celebrate Jisu’s birthday? She would love the surprise!”
“Uhh...sure.”
“OK. You can come over now, if you want.”
“Sure. Thanks. I’ll be there soon.”
*End Call*
I was walking towards Jisu’s house and I was hoping that she was home and just decided to ditch me. Not that likely to happen though. She’s not that kind of person. I knocked on the door and her mom opened the door. I gave her a hug and walked in. “It’s been so long since you’ve been over. I’ve missed seeing you around!” Well, before there wasn’t a clingy Hyeri to hold me back. “I’ve been busy with some stuff lately.” “It’s perfectly understandable, after all, you two are graduating this year. I can’t believe it’s all past so quickly.” Yeah. All these years together, side by side, hand in hand… “Auntie, do you know where Jisu is?” She snapped out of her trance of memories. “Oh, Jisu? I’m sure she’s doing some after school activities. I always say that she needs to let go of a textbook once in awhile and go outside and be a normal teenager.” She laughed to herself. “Jisu’s always been like that since we were little.” “So, why did you ask?” How do I tell her that Jisu is missing? “Uhh, no reason. Just wanted to know.”
Hours passed. It was close to 10 o’clock already. Jisu’s dad had come home already and the food was getting cold. Her parents were getting worried as you all were eating, without Jisu. “Minhyuk, did she mention anything about going any places after school? It’s like of her to not come home so late without telling us.” You set your bowl in the sink and rolled up your sleeves to wash the plates. “No, she didn’t mention anything to hint that she was going anywhere.” Is it good that I’m lying to them? It saves them the worry, right? But then they’ll never know…
It was close to twelve and you had to be getting home soon. “Thank you for coming, Minhyuk. I have no idea where Jisu could be but thank you.” “It was my pleasure to come.” You slipped your coat on and walked into the cool crisp wind of the end of winter. On the way home, your anxiety grew worse. You couldn’t sleep for the whole night, you kept thinking about where she could be. The next morning, you got up extra early to see if Jisu’s at school. You walked into the room and it was empty. No Jisu. You ran around the school to see if she could be in the other classes. You asked the teachers if they had seen her come in today. They all said no. Finally, you decided that there was only one conclusion. She had to be in the bathroom. Yes, the girls’ bathroom. You checked around to see if anyone was around. The coast was clear so you slipped into the girls’ bathroom. You checked every stall and she wasn’t in any of them. Where could she be???
