Marriage Is Happiness

[7PM] Daehyun went to his house to clean up so that i would move in with him. We both agreed to move in and live together since we are a married couple now. I went back to my apartment to move my things into boxes. Mae helped me and we talked before i moved out.

Mae : i'm sure going to miss living with you Yoori.
Yoori : yeah me too. I’m going to miss our late night talks.
Mae : those sure are fun.
Yoori (*asks) : so when is mom moving in ?
Mae : tomorrow afternoon. I'm going to go pick her up tomorrow at the train station.
Yoori : please take good care of the place. This place was our first home together.
Mae : i will.
Mae : to tell you the truth, i never liked any of your past boyfriends that you brought home.
Yoori (*asks) : why ?
Mae : i don't know. They were either too rich and selfish or overachieving.
Mae : and i thought you could do better than that.
Mae : but now i know, Daehyun is a very good match for you Yoori.
Yoori (*asks) : what makes you think he is ?
Yoori : we don’t even know him.
Mae : you have the rest of your life to know him and that's the best part of marriage.
Mae : Daehyun may look like a high class business bachelor man on the outside but on the inside,
Mae : he’s pure genuine and cares about you a lot.
Yoori : i want to see it to believe it.
Mae : you will eventually, i just know it.

We both smiled at each other and then my cellphone rang. I went to pick it up. It was Daehyun.

Yoori (*answers the phone) : hello ?
[Yoori, I'm outside of our apartment.]
Yoori : i’m coming.
[Do you need any help?]
Yoori : it’s okay. Mae Unnie is going to help me.
[Okay.]

We hung up the phone and Mae helped me bring down the boxes downstairs. Me and Mae saw Daehyun standing outside of his car waiting for us. When we reached him, he helped me put the boxes in the trunk of his car. I hugged Mae and said our goodbyes.

Mae : i’m going to miss you Yoori.
Yoori : i’m going to miss you too Unnie.
Mae (*says to Daehyun) : please take good care of my little sister for me.
Daehyun : of course i will.
Mae (*says to Yoori) : call me anytime okay ?
Yoori : i know. Bye Unnie.
Mae : bye Yoori.

We hugged one last time and i went into the car. We drove off. During the drive back to Daehyun’s apartment, it was dead silence between us. Then Daehyun says to me…

Daehyun : i see that you are close to your sister.
Yoori : yes. We lived together for 5 years after she came back to Korea.
Daehyun (*asks) : where did she go ?
Yoori : she went to a University in the states.
Daehyun (*asks) : she came back because of her job?
Yoori : she got a job here in Seoul after graduating. She came back and lived with me.
Daehyun : there was a girl at our wedding today that sat in your family table. She had glasses.
Daehyun (*asks) : who is she ?
Yoori : her name is Aeyoung. She’s married to my older brother, Hyunwoo.
Yoori : They have two kids together.
Yoori : She’s my sister-in-law.
Daehyun (*asks) : so those two girls are your nieces ?
Yoori : yes and now yours too.
Daehyun : i have two nieces as well, ones 14 years old and the other is 10.
Daehyun : the oldest one is Soyi and the youngest is Sojung.
Yoori (*asks) : so their my nieces too ?
Daehyun : yeah.

Daehyun changes the topic to my dad.

Daehyun : you must've been a little sad today walking down the aisle without your dad giving you away.
Yoori : i wished he was there to walk me.
Yoori : But i know that he will always be there with me wherever i go.
Yoori : he’s proud of me today.
Daehyun : he is Yoori.
Yoori : you have a complete family. Don’t do anything that will take that away from you.
Yoori : you should love your family members, always.
Yoori : sometimes i forget that i don't have a dad but then when i look at my mom, she’s a dad too.
Yoori : she has both jobs as a parent.
Yoori : it changed my entire perspective after my dad passed away.
Daehyun : we should both be proud of our parents for raising us well.
Yoori : yes we should.
Yoori : i hope that you don't mind me moving in with you at your apartment.
Daehyun : we’re married now so we do things together like moving in.
Yoori (*looks at Daehyun & says) : thank you.
Daehyun (*smiles while driving & says) : your welcome.

After 15 minutes of driving, we arrived out of the city and into the woods at Daehyun’s place. He parked the car into the garage. He helped me carry up the boxes into the house taking the side doors. Once i walked into his home, i was surprised to see how neat and gorgeous it was. It was one of the most beautiful homes i've ever been to. Sometimes, i thought it would be my dream home.

The both of us walked into the house together. Once we came inside, two little puppies ran towards me giving me attention. I smiled and bent down to pet them. I started to love them like my own. They were so cute and adorable. One was light tan and the other was pure white, both fluffy.

I stood up and continued to look around. Daehyun put the boxes on the floor in the living room while i just stood there looking around. The living room was settled and has a feel of a bachelor pad. The kitchen was very urban like.

Then i headed upstairs to see the bedrooms and saw two guest bedrooms that looked the same to each other on the left side as i entered the hallway with bathrooms that go with it each.

After that, i saw Oppa’s bedroom on the right side. I went inside to take a look and was amazed of how neat it was for a guy living alone. It was dark and mysterious. On the other side of the room, there were an open closet with clothes neatly arranged. Through one of the doors, there was a walk in closet with a mini washer and dryer in it. His bedroom had a bathroom that was so grand.

I thought to myself that i was going to live with a really neat guy and that person is now my husband. I walked out of his bedroom and down the hall. There were two different doors in each room. I peeked my head inside for a little while and it was an office space that fit Oppa’s personality. The other room was also an office space but looked like for a woman.

After taking a tour myself of the entire house, i came back downstairs to hear Oppa say to me...

Daehyun : you should get comfortable, it's your home now too.
Yoori : the entire house is beautiful.
Yoori (*asks) : did you built it yourself ?
Daehyun : everything here besides the bathrooms were already here when i bought the house.
Yoori (*asks) : why did you remodel the bathrooms ?
Daehyun : it looked very ugly before and i didn't like it. So i fixed it myself.
Yoori : Ah, i see.
Yoori (*asks) : where should i put my things ?
Daehyun : you can put it anywhere you want. This house is your home now.
Yoori : thank you again.
Daehyun : i already said it, we’re married now. We have to start getting use to living together.

Daehyun helps me unpack and store my things in the living room. We got to talking.

Yoori : i realized that you have guest bedrooms and an extra office room.
Yoori (*asks) : why is that ?
Daehyun : sometimes, i have friends over who stay the night or my nieces stay here too.
Daehyun : once i found out that you were coming to live with me, i prepared the office room myself.
Yoori (*asks) : why ??
Daehyun : i figured that you need a place to do your work when your at home.
Yoori (*smiles & says) : thank you Oppa.
Daehyun (*smiles & says) : your welcome.

Oppa changes the topic to something else.

Daehyun : the first time I'd met you, you were so nice and talked to me as a stranger.
Yoori (*questions) : were??
Daehyun : still is.
Daehyun (*asks) : why did you tell me your life story?
Yoori : because I knew I could trust you.
Yoori : But then when I found out that you were him, I was devastated.
Yoori : I lost that trust afterwards.
Daehyun : I really am sorry. You were so honest and nice with me.
Daehyun (*asks) : why is that?
Yoori : before my dad died, he taught me one thing.
Daehyun (*asks) : and what was that ?
Yoori : That was to always return the favor if others are willing to.
Daehyun : well, your dad taught you well.
Yoori : I always thought he did.
Daehyun : now that you mention him again, I want to meet him.
Yoori : we both will someday, together.

After a while, Daehyun went to shower first then it was my turn. When i came out, I saw that Daehyun had already fell asleep on the bed sleeping on his side. I went over to him and tucked him in with the blanket. I started to write my script for work. I spent all night working on it on my laptop. Afterwards, i went to bed sleeping next to Daehyun for the rest of the night.
