Old acquaintances

Chapter 5


-your memories-

“You´re going to marry Byun Baekhyun for the sake of us and our business.”, that was all your parents told you before leaving for their business trip, leaving you alone in Zitao´s responsibility till they´ll come back.
“What the f*ck…”, was all you could say to yourself, like what were they thinking: just telling you to marry a guy you´ve never met before and all of it just for the sake of their business.
Tears started to well up in your eyes while you thought about what was being taken from you: marrying someone you truly love, just finding your true love, probably having your first kiss with someone you love, just so many important things for someone to normally experience.
You started sobbing and went to find your brother. After wandering around the mansion that your parents called `smaller` house you finally found him in the gaming room playing some random game on the xbox.
When he heard your quiet sobs he immediately got out of his chair and went over to you
“What happened? What did they tell you?”, he pulled you into an embrace to stop your crying.
“Th-They are forcing me to marry some guy I don´t even know…”, you managed to choke out between your sobs.
“WHAT? HOW COULD THEY DO THAT?!”, he was yelling half way into your face causing you to flinch which he noticed
“Oh sh*t I´m sorry (y/n)! Do you want me to talk to them?”


-your memories-

In the end your parents went through with the arranged marriage despite all of your and Zitao´s protests.
Baekhyun turnt out to be not as bad of a husband as you thought he would, he seemed… nice. Well at first…
You and your new husband lived in an apartment your parents had chosen for you which was another thing you´d rather chosen for yourself aswell, but it was nice too.
Afterall your whole life seemed nice at that time which you didn´t expect at first.
It all seemed nice until you had asked Baekhyun what he did for a living, all you knew was that he was doing the same things as your and his parents.
You had asked your parents what their job was, but they always shrugged it off as “adult-stuff” and since you were young you didn´t care.
Baekhyun didn´t give you a real answer either, he always walked out of your questions by asking other ones.
You didn´t care then either since he didn´t want to tell you.
You didn´t care until he started getting weird.

The weirdness started off with him coming home from work later and later. You didn´t question it at first, thought there´s just much work to do but when he started coming back after 00:00 am, you waited for him to come home and asked him what he was doing out for so long.
“Are you really working till now?”, was all you said when he came through the door.
“Actually… no. I got off from work at 5pm.”, he told you calmly as if it was a totally normal thing to say to your “wife” if you could even call yourself that.
“And what have you been doing then, that you´re coming back now?”, you asked feeling kind off betrayed.
“Well I was out… eeeehhh… gambling.”, he answered.
“Gambling?”, you questioned.
“Yeaaah? I mean yeah, gambling, being out with my friends. You know, Jongdae and eh Minseok. Yeah we´ve been out.”, he answered sounding totally believable.
“Yeah you sound so credible. You know what, if you don´t want to tell me then don´t. But keep your unnecessary excuses.”, and with that you left. You locked yourself in the guest bedroom not wanting to see him.
You had trusted him, but it seems like this trust is one sided…

Situations like this one occurred a lot more often, so you found yourself alone in the guest room or in the little dancing room down the hall a lot more often than you had thought at the beginning of this marriage.

And the occurrences began to worsen…
The worst of them was the night before you woke up only to find yourself in an unknown location:
Baekhyun had returned after four days of absence, you didn´t even knew of, he had just left for what you thought was work.
He sneaked in quietly since it was 2am and he thought you were sleeping. Well turned out you weren´t…
“Were have you been?”, you asked, scaring the sh*t out of him
“Weeeeell…”, he said looking in your eyes with a creepy smile.
You ignored however it send shivers of fright down your spine “Don´t tell me you´ve been out gambling for three f*cking days!”, you yelled at him since you´ve been worried about him, not knowing where he was.
“Well darling,”, he said while turning off the lights frightening you even more “I´ve never been out gambling…”

soooo this is the second chapter for today...
I had this pre written so I was like "why don´t I just update this?" :)
